EMMA'S POV
I awoke to the sound of a wolf howling. I flinched in fear and tried to curl myself into a ball, but I couldn't. That was when I realized my wrists were chained to the bed post and I was only covered in a thin tee shirt and a pair of incredibly short shorts that hardly covered by butt. The basement was cold. so cold. I was shivering from the lack of heat and questioning why I was here. Why was I here? I asked myself; it wasn't like I had any particular skills that anybody would want, and I wasn't friends with many people… in fact, Carter was my only true friend...
Carter.
They wanted Carter.
They wanted Carter and I was helpless; I couldn't do anything from where I was, but that didn't matter. I wasn't going to let them get to Carter and I was going to do whatever it took to make sure he stayed safe, even if it meant risking or losing my life.
And I held myself to that promise, and I just wanted you to know that I love you Carter, I always have and I always will. Thank you for always being there for me.
