When we pulled up to his house I parked my car in the driveway since there weren't any cars there.
Me: Your parents aren't here?
Eli: Nope they're away on a business trip, which means .. Party at my place!
Me: *laugh* oh I feel bad for your parents
When we entered the house it was peaceful and quiet.
Eli: Since we started school on a Wednesday, the party can be on Saturday
Me: I'll be here, I don't have nothing better to do
Eli: Alright, Now let's go play some 2k, I'm ready to whoop ya ass
Me: I beat you every time Eli
Eli: and? Today might be my lucky day
Me: okay, if you say so
*40 minutes later*
Me: *laugh* The fact that you thought you was gonna beat me
Eli: shut up
Me: *laugh* You were practically asking to lose
I used the Lakers while he used the Celtics.
Eli: shut up, so about this Ariana girl?
Me: what about her?
Eli: so you really do like her huh?
Me: man I don't even know, when I first saw her I was lost of words, she's really nice and beautiful

Eli: Do you have any classes with her?
Me: No sadly, but they might switch certain people Schedules around tomorrow or Friday, they always do that
Eli: yeah so maybe she will be in your class after all *wink*
Me: *laugh* let's get this rematch going
Eli: I'm using the Warriors this time
Me: you know curry and Klay are currently injured, so they're not gonna be on the lineup
Eli: never mind, I'm using the Clippers
Couple hours later I had to go home, don't wanna get my ass beat by my father.
Me: alright I gotta go man
Eli: what? Why?
Me: you know my dad Eli
Eli: you're about to be 18 and you still haven't whooped his ass? You're literally the strongest female I know and that's kinda scary
Me: *laugh* shut up, but I gotta go
Eli: look I understand that's your father, but you gotta defend yourself sometimes, get home safe alright?
Me: alright, see you tomorrow
I made my way to my car. I hopped in, turned it on, and started driving home.
*20 minutes later*
I made it home in record time. I usually get here within 25 to 30 minutes. I parked my car and entered the house, making sure I wasn't making any noise in the process.
Dad: you're late
I cursed under my breath.
Me: Hey dad, I was just getting some food to eat and I guess time got the best of me
Dad: you're lying
Me: no I'm not
Dad: What I tell you about lying Y/n?!
He grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me close to him. His eyes were red and his breath reeked of alcohol.
Dad: tell me the truth
Me: I told you I wa-
Dad: TELL ME THE TRUTH!
I flinched hard.
Me: *low voice* I was at Eli's house
Dad: SPEAK UP!
If my face wasn't covered in his saliva before, it is now.
Me: I was at Eli's house
Dad: *laugh* such a shame
He roughly pushed me, making me hit the floor hard. I shut my eyes and made deep breaths to make the pain die down.
Dad: always at Eli's house, Eli this, Eli that, might as well live with Eli
He walked into the kitchen grabbing a can of beer.
Dad: go upstairs
I ran up the stairs and into my room. I called Eli.
Eli: hello?
Me: Hey Eli .. still got that extra room?
