The honeymoon was over before it had even began. They had only spent one day at the hacienda after their wedding and then they went back to the city. Yvo had some work he needed to tend to and Yuka, after taking a few hundreds of pictures and videos documenting her hacienda life, was starting to get bored.

Yuka moved into Yvo's room. It wouldn't look normal for a married couple, especially a newly wedded one, to sleep in seperate bedrooms. Magtataka ang mga kasambahay kung matutulog silang magkahiwalay and they didn't want anyone to doubt their relationship.

On their first night in their house as husband and wife, Yuka slept alone in his bed. She waited for her husband but eventually her tired pregnant body gave in to sleep. Yvo had been in his study the whole time, he couldn't lay in bed with his own wife. It frustrated him having her sleep next to him, their bodies occasionally touching against each other, her hot breath on his neck as she slept ever so peacefully while he lay there staring at the ceiling, forcing his body not to react to the desires he couldn't acknowlege, much less fulfill. Perhaps, he thought, it was because he hadn't been with a woman for quite some time now kaya ganito ang nararamdaman niya. Maybe it was just his body telling him that he needed to let off some steam.

It was a retching noise that welcomed him as soon as he opened the door to his room- their room. He hurriedly went to her and knelt down beside her.

"Yuka." He rubbed her back in a light, feathery caress and her shoulders loosened, a small moan of relief escaped from her lips.

"Okay na ako." She took in a deep breath and turned to face him, giving him an accusing glare while a frown crossed her features. "Saan ka ba kasi nanggaling?"

"I was working at the lab." He answered, grabbing a towelette that was hanging on the rack. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Tango lang ang naisagot niya. Her morning sickness comes and goes. There are consecutive days when it isn't there and just when she thought she had gotten over that phase of her pregnancy, it comes back again.

"Here, let me help you up." Yvo gently pulled her up.

"Okay lang. Kaya ko na." She said, heading straight to the sink after flushing the toilet. She didn't want him to smell the bile she had just thrown up in the toilet bowl just seconds ago so she hurriedly gargled mouthwash.

"Have you had your breakfast? Yvo was still worried about Yuka.

"Hinintay kita kagabi."

"Nakatulog ako sa lab. I was working on something and I've lost track of time." Dahilan niya.

It was true that Yuka moves a lot in her sleep. One minute she was a pillow away from him and the next her arms were wrapped around him, her legs hugging his waist. He was just being careful as he did not want to develop any sexual feelings toward her. He was mad that she'd offered sex the way she did but it would be a lie to say that it wasn't a tempting offer. He hadn't been with a woman for quite some time now and every now and then, fragmented memories of that night with her underneath him would cross his mind.

"No, it's not that." He gave her a reassuring smile and then his hands went to her tummy. It was hardly noticeable yet but there was already a small bump. "You worry too much. Baka makasama sa baby."

"Kasi ikaw, eh." She pouted even more.

"Why don't you go back to bed and I'll have your breakfast brought here for today, okay?" He gently said.

Yuka finally smiled and nodded her head. "Pero gusto ko kasabay ka."

"Okay." Kibit-balikat na sabi nito.

Yuka requested for some french toast and coconut juice and he added in some fruits to balance her diet. Yvo sat on the edge of the bed watching his wife munch on her breakfast while he sipped a mug of coffee that he asked.

"Sabi mo sasabay kang magbreakfast." Yuka frowned when she noticed that her husband hadn't had food.

"I don't eat breakfast."

"Gusto kong kumain ka din."

"I'm okay with coffee."

"Gusto ko pa din kumain ka." She said, slicing her french toast bread and bringing the fork to his mouth. Yvo hesitantly opened his lips and took a bite and Yuka couldn't help a smile.

"I'm good." He said after a few bites and then looked at the digital clock on the bedside table. "I have to get ready for work."

Yuka almost didn't want to let her husband leave her side. She wanted him to stay with her all day. Gusto niyang ma-solo ang asawa and do what normal newly wedded couples do. Like making food for her husband and being lovey-dovey with him. She was a young woman after all and hidden within her pragmatic view of love, she was still hoping for a fairytale one.

"Iiwan mo na naman ako?" She made a face. "Honeymoon pa din natin, ah! Kakasal lang natin two days ago. This should be our time together."

"I'm really sorry, Yuka. I have an important meeting I need to go to." He explained with genuine apology. They already knew he was back from honeymoon and had already called for a meeting to discuss on the project they were working on.

Yuka crossed her arms over her chest and scowled.

"Look, I promise I'll make it up to you." Tinitigan niya ang nakasimangot na asawa. Her pouting lips made her look even cuter and he couldn't help but smile. Even now, he couldn't fathom the idea that Yuka was now his wife. His wife and the mother of his possible child. "May gusto ka bang kainin? Ano bang gusto mong gawin? Do you want to go to your sister's?"

Her pout disappeared and she pursed her lips as if thinking.

He took out an envelop from the bedside drawer and handed it to Yuka. With brows furrowed, she took it and opened. It was an exclusive black credit card with her name on it. Yuka Grace Zamora.

She jumped on him for a hug which toppled him down the bed with Yuka right on top of him. "The best ka talaga, Doc! Thank you!"

She was light and warm in his arms, her skin soft, her swollen breasts resting against his chest. And even in the morning, even when she'd just been in bed and threw her guts up just minutes ago, she still smelled of coconut vanilla. It elicited a biological response from him, one he'd tried so hard to avoid since the night she'd offered sex to him.

"It's no big deal, really." He, with gentle care, tried to get his very oblivious and excited wife off him. They both sat up again.

"Sorry, na excite lang ako." Yuka said, still with a wide smile on her face. The one which makes her eyes cutely disappear into crescents as if they were smiling along with her lips.

"Just don't tire yourself out, okay? He reminded her.

"Opo, doc." She cheerfully said, her eyes fixed on the black card.

"At yang morning sickness mo, if it doesn't get any better tomorrow, I'll schedule for an earlier appointment with the doctor."

She frowned as she remembered the incident she had with the OB.

But she's the best in her field and I know you and the baby are going to be in good hands with her."

Yuka huffed and rolled her eyes. "Sige na nga. Pero dapat professional siya, no!"

He looked at the clock on the bedside table. "I need to get to work before 8. I'm going to take a shower, if you need anything just give downstairs a ring."

She wanted to spend more time with her husband, even if it was just a fraction of a second. She really wished he could just stay here with her.

"Teka lang..."

"Yeah?" His brows shot up.

"Mmm... ano'ng gusto mong dinner mamaya?"

"Okay naman ako sa kahit ano." He smiled.

"Pero ano talaga yung gusto mo? Ipagluluto kasi kita mamaya.

Yvo shrugged. "Um, sinigang?"

"Sige, magluluto ako ng sinigang mamaya, ah." She happily said. "Promise, magugustuhan mo luto ko!"

He smiled at her and then his eyes lowered to the hand she was holding. "I'm sure I will but can you please let go of my hand now? Kailangan ko na magshower."

"Ay, sorry!" She let go of him, slightly embarassed. She couldn't help but imagine her husband in the bathroom, undressing himself and getting under the shower. She could picture in her mind how the water dripped to his toned body. Wala sa sariling napasinghap si Yuka sa naisip niya, she could feel her groin pulsing to the beat of her heart. She'd realized that she was lusting over her own husband and tried to shake the feeling off. Perhaps, it was just her pregnancy hormones. Napasandal siya sa headboard at bumuntong-hininga. She felt embarassed to feel her arousal increasing. Why couldn't he just have sex with her like a normal husband would?

She was enjoying every minute of being a billionaire's wife. After Yvo left for work, she rang her Ate's house para magpasa sa kanila na mag-shopping. She'd found out that the credit card that he had given to her had five million pesos limit and that got her really excited. She told her husband that she wanted to buy things for the baby but she thought he wouldn't mind if she spend some of it for herself.

"Donyang-donya ka na, anak." Bati ni Sasha.

"Syempre naman, Mammy." She smiled, her chin tilting up. "Bilyonaryo yata ang napang-asawa ko."

Saskia just let out a disapproving sigh as she looked at her little sister. She knew better than to lecture, Yuka. Amongst the three siblings, Yuka had always been the most harded. She would have whatever she wanted, one way or another.

"Feel na feel mo talaga, Madam Yuka." Jodie sarcastically said.

Huwag kayong mag-alala. Mayaman na ako." She giggled playfully.

Saskia's brows wrinkled.

"Ito naman si Ate, ang KJ." She huffed and rolled her eyes. Bakit? Mahirap kaya magbuntis."

"O, kumusta naman yang pagbubuntis mo?" Her voice shifted in a concerned tone.

"Oo naman, My." She answered.

"Syempre, laking Jodie 'to, no!" Pagmamalaki niya. She had a strong personality as compared to her siblings. Jodie and their life experiences taught her to never let herself taken advantage of. If anything, in her mind, she should be the one taking advantage of people. Life had already thrown her so many curveballs and she felt like she had ever right to do so. And so, she looked at people as ladders and would walk up on top of them and step on them to get to where she wanted to be.

Yuka immediately went to Hermes, she had always dreamt of owning one of those expensive bags. Her Ate had two of those bags but it was given to her by Migs' mother and sister.

"My, o! Tignan mo, bagay sa akin, di ba? Ang ganda!" She asked as she put on a pair of Hermes sandals while carrying a matching Hermes bag on her arm.

Saskia exclaimed as she looked at the price tag. She couldn't see the purpose of buying such expensive items. Migs would often shower her with signatured bags and shoes and other things and although she appreciates it, sa kanya wala itong pagkakaiba sa mga sapatos at bag na nabibili sa department stores. It was Migs who'd always push her to buy something nice for herself.

Bagay sa'kin 'to." She happily said as she twirled in front of the mirror. "Bibilhin ko na 'to."

"Yuka, pera pa rin yan ni Yvo." Saskia said

"Namin dalawa.

She ended up buying more for herself than the baby and she reasoned to herself that a few more months was a long time. She still had a lot of time to buy things for their baby. But for now, she needed new clothes as her old ones were getting too small for her and she needed new shoes as Yvo had told her to try not to wear heels and she needed this and that because she wouldn't have much time to shop for herself once the baby comes out. She was only able to buy a few piece of clothing for the baby and some cute little blankets.

Sasha said while they were having lunch at a restaurant. Isa itong mamahalin restaurant and of course, it was Yuka's treat this time. It felt so good for her to finally have the chance to spoil her family.

Her Ninang Jodie said as he was fixing his foundation.

Saka I deserve this naman, no!" Dahilan niya.

"You deserve this? Wow, ha! Bumukangkang ka lang deserve mo na 'to.

She playfully hit her bestfriend.

She said.

"Pinapaalalahanan lang kita." Saskia sighed.

She said, mindlessly rubbing her slightly swollen tummy.

"Talaga, My?" She smiled, looking down at her tummy.

She rolled her eyes.

Sasha offered.

"My, okay pa ako. She smiled.

"Yvo..." He heard an all too familiar voice from behind him that made him stop right as he was just about to open the door to his car. The sound of sent his heart beating with unusual emotion, he could feel the drumming below the surface of his skin.

He turned his head to see her standing there. Krista tried to smile despite the tears that had pooled in her eyes, determined not to let them spill. Emotions ran through him as he looked at her, the woman he'd loved.

"Congratulations." Her voice cracked as she said those words. "I guess I'm a little too late, huh?"

"Krista..." That was all that he could utter.

He wanted to hold her in his arms. He wanted to kiss her. But it would be wrong to do so. Or would it? He just married Yuka for convenience, for the baby. Would it really be wrong?

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't even be here." She shook her head. "I just... I wanted to see you again."

Yvo turned and his body leaned against the car, feeling drained. They looked into each other's eyes for a few quiet seconds, not knowing what to do or how to act. The need to hug her, to just feel her body against his, to just catch a whiff of her familiar scent was so strong. He wanted to throw his arms around her and before he could do so, Krista had already wrapped her arms around him.

"I missed you." She whispered in his chest. "I missed you so much, Yvo."

Yvo closed his eyes and let his arms wrap around her. He gathered all the strength he had to pull away from the warm embrace. It felt right but wrong both at the same time. He loved this woman and he may still have feelings for her, but he was married now.

"Yvo..." She looked up at him, her eyes watering with tears. He tightly shut his eyes, feeling the tears starting to sting his. Why did she have to show up now? Now it was too late. "Can we talk? Please, Yvo, kahit sandali lang..."

He didn't have the heart to say no to her. They went to a restaurant nearby and although they came there to talk, there was nothing but silence between them. Silence after the waiter had taken their orders, silence when they were being served their food.

"Who is she?" It was Krista who broke the silence between them.

Yvo took a small sip of wine and then answered. "Her name is Yuka."

"I know her name but who is she? Where did you meet? Why did you marry her? Why her?" She asked with slight quiver in her voice.

Yvo shook his head. "It... it just happened. She's pregnant."

She nodded her head, her eyes fixed on the glass of champagne in front of her with her arms crossed over her chest, as if it was a subconscious way of protecting her heart from the blow. She could not look at him because she was afraid it would worsen the pain of those words and she couldn't let herself breakdown in front of him again.

"Why didn't you go after me?"

Yvo shook his head. "You know I couldn't..."

"Kaya hinayaan mong masira ang relasyon natin?" She threw him an accusing glare. "Minahal mo ba talaga ako?"

"Of course, I did. You know I did, Krista." Mariin na sagot ni Yvo.

"Do you love me still?" Krista asked.

And she was answered by silence. Yvo knew he still felt something for Krista. He missed him and Lord, how he wanted to have her in his arms again. But beyond that, he wasn't so sure.

"Do you love her?" Krista asked again.

Napabuntong-hininga si Yvo. It wasn't love he was feeling for Yuka. It was pity. But he couldn't get himself to answer her question.

"Ikaw ang umalis. I... I couldn't give up on my career, Krista. I loved you but you didn't think it would work out. I wanted us to work out." Those words came pouring out of Yvo's mouth. She did not believe in her and he couldn't hold it against his ex. After losing millions and millions of money on drugs that failed, she'd stop believing in him.

"Akala ko kasi may babalikan pa ako. I thought you'd wait for me." Her voice cracked with tears and regret. "I was so stupid."

He shook his head. "No, please don't say that. We did what we thought was best for us, Krista."

"You're right." Dahan-dahan na tumango ang babae. "I'm sorry, this shouldn't have even happened." She leaned over to him and took his hands in hers. "I want to be happy for you, Yvo. I want to be happy for you and your wife and your child. You're a good man and you deserve the best."

"T-thank you." He silently said.

"Please send my regards to your wife." She slowly let go of his hand and he wanted to chase it back, hold her for a little bit longer. "Well, I better go now. I'm sorry for wasting so much of your time."

She stood to her feet effortlessly.

"Krista..." He uttered her name just as she was about to turn away and that made her pause. Secretly, she wanted him to stop her and tell her that the marriage was a mistake. That they could still be together. They would hug and kiss and make up for the time they loss apart.

"Goodbye..." He exhaled.

"Goodbye, Yvo." She gave a nod, trying to force herself to smile. And then she walked away.

Yvo sat there with his head hung low. That was the woman he thought he'd marry someday and have a family with. That was the woman he'd plan his future with. And just like that, all those were gone.

He went to the bar to get himself something to drink, hoping it would drown out the emotional turmoil he was filling. He wanted to numb his emotions. He didn't want to feel the hurt, the regret, the anger, how she'd felt against him and how good her hair smelled. He wanted to forget Krista.

Yuka fell asleep on the couch waiting for her husband. She haven't even had dinner yet as she wanted to eat with him. She even video called her Ate for her recipe and had Saskia teach her how to cook so it would taste perfect for Yvo. The helps tried to make her eat but she refused because she didn't want to eat without Yvo.

A crashing noise woke her up. Agad na bumangon si Yuka mula sa couch only to find her husband stumbling his way into the house with a few broken decorative vases behind him. She quickly went to him and her nose was assaulted with a strong smell of alcohol.

She worriedly asked as she hooked his hand around her shoulder. He was so drunk that she couldn't get a coherent answer from him.

Sumigaw siya nang tulong and one of the helps came to her rescue and helped her drag her husband to their room.

"Sige na, Ate. Ako na ang bahala dito. Magpahinga ka na." She said, slightly exhausted from dragging the weight of a 6'2 man up the stairs.

The help left and so she got a towel and soaked it with water. His body was just as toned and muscular as she last saw them.

He moaned when he felt the cold water from the towelette touch his chest. She gasped when he pulled her to him and the next thing she knew, she was already under him.

"Yv..." His lips crashed against hers into a hungry kiss, swallowing the rest of her word. He kissed her, making her head spin as though she had drunk whatever was left of the alcohol in his mouth. He plunged his tongue past her lips as his body positioned between her legs. She could feel him against her crotch, his warmth against her most private part and it felt so good having him rub against him. She moaned softly in drunken pleasure when one hand cupped her breast. Even with clothes on, his body brushing by her private area, made her feel hot all over. She could feel her panties beginning to dampen.

"Krista..." He moaned, his lips went from her mouth down to her neck.

She froze when she heard him utter another woman's name. Yvo collapsed next to her. She sat up and hugged herself as she stared at her husband.
