*Luna*
So apparently, my dads medical bills have been cleared. Everything has been paid for. That's not the best part. Daddy's been moved to one of the best cardiologists hospital. I've cried out of joy, I've smacked myself to reassure myself that this ain't dreaming, cos all of this was something that only happened in my dreams.
Rameek keeps telling me he wasn't the one, its hard to believe. Okay he had left for some business meeting in Chicago the night after the pool party and he just got back.
Immediately after I read the text from mama B, Jamari and I left for the hospital after I made a quick change. He was as excited as I was. He said I should believe in miracles, and now I do. I badly wanna know who has done this for me. I owe that person so much.
The fear of losing my fad has drastically left me. I now have hope.
Getting into the hospital hand in hand with Jamari, I noticed the way people looked at him. So much attention he was getting. Celebrity stuff.
"Put this on"
He took off his hoodie, helping me put it on. His masculine scent was now on me and a girl was loving every bit of it.
He pulled the hood down to cover my face.
"Them people are gonna take pictures. We don't want our business in the mouth of em bloggers"
"Nope"
He wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I couldn't help it but to blush. I was loving the way he pulled me close to him. I could pretend that I was his girlfriend, in my head tho.
People gasped when they saw him, some had their phones out. Does he have to deal with this everyday?
"It must suck to be gaining much attention like this everyday huh? " I asked as we made our way to the front desk.
"Tell me about it. You gaining some attention too. Them broke ugly ass niggas be starring at you. Licking em crusty ass lips like they've got something to offer"
I let out a short laughter. This nigga is a child in a mans body.
"Are you serious right now. Don't tell me you're jealous" he smacked his lips causing me to giggle. My heart wants to jump outta my rib cage. I'm feeling light headed. Can't believe he's jealous about that. Well I'm happy as fuck that he is.
"Kirk Dashawn please?" I asked the lady at the front desk. I watched as she threw flirtatious glances at Jamari. Bitch do your damn job, he ain't here for you. I was getting mad now.
I ain't gonna lie to myself again, I have feelings for Jamari. He be giving me vibes like he's feeling me too, but this nigga is to damn bipolar for me to even tell if its real. So if he doesn't say it, then it doesn't mean nothing. imma keep my fingers crossed.
Following a nurse, we were finally at my dads "private room" . Rameek and Tania walk out with a blushing Pamela behind them. She was on the phone and I could tell it was Xavier. What were they all doing here? Do they happen to know what's going on and I've just been in the dark?
Pam gave me a questioning look. I then realized Jamari and I were still holding hands. I pretended not to have noticed the look she gave me.
"What are y'all doing here? "
"Why's your ass late? " Rameek said before dragging me by my neck to pull me into a hug.
"Hello to you too Meeky"
He smacked his lips before pulling away.
"What's your big head doing with the bigger head? " he asked while eyeing Jamari. Guess he was suspecting us, just like Pam and Tania are right now.
"You should probably get checked to. Your ass needs some treatment." Jamari said. His baritone, husky voice had a way of making me wanna drool.
"So Pam and I weren't good enough to make your mood brighten up huh? You needed you some Jamari. Girl you've got a lot of explanating to do" Tania said smirking at me.
"Oh yes you do have some explaining to do. Walking in here all loved up with Jamari. Girl you've been lying to us" Pamela said before giving me a quick hug.
"No I've not. Nothing is going on guys, I swear"
"Mmhm, did y'all make out again? "
Tania asked as she and Pam starred deep into my eyes.
"Ugh, yes. It ain't that serious. Get over it. What are you guys doing here? "
"Rameek asked us to tag along with him to come see your pops. We were told he was moved over here by some good Samaritan"
It was still hard to believe that someone just decided to give my dad what he never bargained for. God is good tho. I never saw this happening.
"Aww pooh, don't cry. Your dad deserves all of this" Pam said as she wiped my tears. I didn't even realize I was in tears. It was so surreal.
"Thanks guys. Lemme go see papa bear"
Walking into my dads private ward, I couldn't help but feel emotional again. He looked like some billionaire on that bed. I let out a small laughter gaining mama Brenda's attention. She beamed at me. I could tell she was just as joyous as I was.
"Come here sweetie". She pulled me in to a warm hug. I loved embracing her. It was comforting.
"Lu" I heard my dads raspy voice. He looked drained but at the same time happy.
"Hi daddy" I quickly made my way towards him, being as gentle as I can while I hugged him.
"Wipe those tears princess. Don't get my fancy hospital robe get wet." I couldn't even be mad at him. I giggled as he wiped my tears.
"Even on your dying bed you still wanna be childish " mama Brenda playfully said.
"By the time I'm up and healthy again, we'd see if that smart mouth of yours be working..."
"No daddy, you're not gonna be nasty in front of me right now.
I couldn't deal with them both right now.
Two old nasty people.
"Well hello there"
I turned around to see who mama Brenda was talking to.
Jamari stood at the door looking nervous. I can't believe it.
"Uh, hello ma'am " he respectfully greeted her.
"Luna is this year boyf-"
"Mama this is my boss. Jamari Carter."
I quickly cut in before she embarrassed me. Jamari is far from my boyfriend.
The smile on mama Brenda's face got me nervous again.
"Ahhh, Jamari. Finally a face to the name. You are handsome. That explains why Lu can't seem to keep your name out of her mouth"
The embarrassment I feel right now, I just wanna get under my dads bed until its all over.
"Oh yeah. You must be her step mom. She speaks very well of you." Jamari said, keeping his eyes fixed on me while shaking mama Brenda's hand.
My dads obviously fake cough caught my attention.
"Uhm daddy this is my boss, Jamari Carter. Jamari, this is my dad" I gulped when I noticed the intense stare my father was giving Jamari. This man better not embarrass me any further.
"You the rich kid who likes to bully lil girls huh? "
"Daddy! " this old man did not just say that. He wants to jeopardize my job or what. I work for Jamari for crying out loud.
"Nah. That ain't me. I'm a professional basketball player. Nice to meet you sir. Hope you get well soon. "
I had to take my tine in observing Jamari's body language. Was this nigga being cordial and polite right now? Must be only towards me he's a douchebag.
"Mmhm" my dad waved him off nonchalantly.
God please let me not get embarrassed any further.

Luna's pops is making me scared asf. Nigga looks like he wants to punch me in the face or something. I can already sense that he doesn't like me.
I glance at Luna and she's avoiding my eyes. I don't blame her. Family be embarrassing you the most.
But her family looks cute tho. May not have much, but they're solid. That's what I love. What I wish I had. But none of that matters now. I should focus on supporting Luna.
"So why did the boss come over to see the employee's sick father. Isn't that quite uncommon and unprofessional? "
Luna's dad asked, snapping me outta my thoughts. I thought he was done with the questions.
Luna placed her face in her palms, shaking her head from left to right.
"Daddy please-"
"She needed a quick ride to come see you. Its the least I could do for a faithful employee " I found myself saying while I got lost looking at Luna. She turned towards me smiling shyly before mouthing a 'thank you' to me.
"Blah blah. Little boy why are you starring at her like that? "
"Enough Kirk. Don't let me pull those plugs off and murder you" Luna's step mom said. It took a lot in me not to laugh. I see were Luna got all her crazy from. She grew up around crazy folks.
"Whatever. Come rub on my shoulders" Luna's dad replied before shutting his eyes.
"Sorry sweetheart. Kirk misbehaves a lot. It was sweet of you to drive Lu here" she gave me a warm smile. She reminded me of my nana.
"No problem ma'am " I nodded at her.
"Do you have any idea who must have done all this for daddy? " Luna said in a low tone.
"Darling if I knew. We were told the identity didn't want to be disclosed." Her step mom replied.
I ensured to keep a straight face while listening to their conversation.
"I just can't express how grateful I am. That person is definitely an angel" Luna said and I could see the joy she felt through her smile.
I'm glad she thinks I'm an angel tho. I glanced at her pops who was now asleep as his shoulders were now being massaged. I could use some massage. From Luna though. I couldn't help but to share at her when she was not looking. She was a perfect art work. Man, I'm gonna get crazy if I keep on doing this.
"Thanks for making Luna's life interesting Jamari. Ever since you became her boss, boring Luna was gone" I chuckled. Luna scoffed before rolling her eyes. I loved their relationship. It was genuine and nice.
It was now dark and I was driving Luna back to her crib. Lil mama was asleep on the passengers seat. I loved the way my hoodie was big on her. She looked peaceful and beautiful. Her light snores made me happy as I drove in silence.
Getting to her apartment, I got out of the car and went over to her side.
"Hey. We're here" I said while rubbing on her cheek. She squirmed a bit before opening her eyes.
"Gosh I'm tired" she mumbled.
"You need to rest. Come on, lemme assist you " I pulled her out of the car and held her purse for her. With my arm around her shoulder and hers around my torso, we entered the elevator and headed for her apartment.
"Keys? "
"My purse" she lowly replied me before leaning into me more.
I found the keys in her purse after struggling with lots of lip gloss and other girly bullshit in the way.
Entering her apartment, she turned on the light, causing it to flood her living room. Little ass Benjamin came running towards Luna. This dog be getting more attention from her than me. She acknowledged him calling him some stupid ass weak names. Typical girl shit. She pulled away from me before looking up onto my eyes.
"Thanks for today Jamari. You honestly did more than you think you did for me today. And I would love for this amazing side of you to show more often" she playfully rolled her eyes after her last statement.
"Seeing you vulnerable brought out that part of me " I said being lost in the beauty of her eyes. Damn, this girl got me good. She blushed as I rubbed on her cheek.
I needed to kiss her. Pulling her to myself, immediately our lips came in contact, she pulled away!
What did I do now?
"What's wrong Luna? " I asked in a rather confused tone.
"I can't." What is this woman talking about right now.
"You can't what Luna"
"I can't keep on letting you lead me on Jamari! " she yelled with a sad expression.
"You kiss me, you feel on me, then you leave. That's it. I don't even know what the kiss means to you but, I got feelings. I ain't about to be heart broken by some basketball dude" I chuckled before starring back at her.
"Well, I don't want my heart broken by some cook girl either."
I watched her face soften which gave me the go ahead to continue.
"I care about you Luna. Its been hard to suppress all my feelings. I get on your nerves unnecessarily just to keep you at arms length, but man you still had a way of affecting me. I'm tired of living in all that denial Luna."
She turned away blushing. Her smile couldn't go unnoticed.
She turned back to face me. She folded her arms under her boons, making em sit pretty poking towards me.
"What are you tryna say Jamari? "
This girl ain't serious right now.
"Come on Luna, I know you understand me"
"I do not Mr. Carter" she rolled her eyes while biting on her lip. I could tell she was nervous but she was tryna hide it.
"Fine, I care about you Luna. I like you. I want you " I was getting tired now.
She smiled before placing her palms on my face.
"I care about you too" she whispered.
"Care for me enough to be my girl? "
"Care for me enough to make me your girl?" She questioned back.
"Hell yeah" I replied her, before I crushed my lips into hers. Gosh, its about damn time. I held on to her small waist, giving her a lift causing her to stand on her tip toes. Our tongues danced in a perfect rhythm as we emptied built up emotions into the kiss . It feels deeper.
Coming back to New York wasn't the easiest decision for me to make, due to the bad memories I have here. I only agreed to it due to the boost it was gonna give my career. New York had something better waiting for me, and I couldn't be happier.
Pulling away, I pecked on Luna's lips multiple times. She giggled, causing me to smile as we placed our foreheads together. I reached for her ass, grabbing a hand full.
"Oh my gosh" she giggled before smacking my upper arm.
"This is all mine now huh?" I wiggled my brows at her.
"Only if you can handle it?" She winked at me.
Its on! I can't wait to explore this relationship with Luna. Its gonna be beautiful. Might not be perfect, but we could make it work.
