After they finished their drinks and having spoken for a short amount of time, they decided to hang out for the day. Choosing to go to the theme park.
When they arrived, Hyuck instantly let his childish sideshow. His personality bubbling in all the right ways. He smiled and giggled the whole day. All Mark could do was smile and stare at the boy who danced and ran about in front of him.
His happiness was so contagious that everyone who saw the boy couldn't help but let even the smallest smile show.

By the time the park was closing, Hyuck had dragged Mark onto every roller coaster, fairground ride and convinced him to play every game there was. Hyuck skipped out of the parks gates with a giant lion plushie the older had won from a game of tin can alley.
Mark drove the younger home, who insisted on sitting in the back of the car with the plushie so it could wear a seatbelt.
In the short amount of time it took them to get from the park to Hyuck's house, the boy had fallen asleep with his head resting against the plushies shoulder.
When Mark stopped the car, he looked in the back to find the lion that had a seatbelt strapped across its chest and a small boy snuggled into it.
He smiled unknowingly while shaking the younger awake slightly.
Hyuck looked around the car with a confused expression, his face had red crease marks and his hair was sticking up all over the shot. Mark couldn't help but allow his smile to grow.
"you're home Hyuck, do you want me to carry your lion for you?" the older asked as he held the plushie, watching the boy stumble out of the car.
"huh? Right, firstly his name is Minhyung and secondly, it's okay, I've got him, but thanks for offering" Hyuck smiled, taking the plushie from the older and dragging it into the apartment building.
Mark watched the younger waddle into the lit building. Hyuck said hello to an old lady who was arriving at the same time as him, laughing and chatting away to her while climbing into the lift.
Mark left with the biggest smile. His heart beating harder than it had for a long time. Hyuck knew that Mark's Korean name was Minhyung and the older almost felt honoured to have a lion plushie named after him.

Once Mark arrived home, he had a shower and put some sweatpants and a hoodie on before climbing into his bed.
The first thing he did after that was check his phone for the first time since dropping Hyuck home.

Mark waited a few more minutes to check the younger had fallen asleep. When there was nothing, he smiled to himself as he plugged his phone in and rested it on his bedside table. He snuggled further under his covers and closed his eyes. Seconds later he had fallen away to the blissful world of sleep.

Later in the day, Mark woke to a loud knocking on his front door. It was continuous until it suddenly stopped. Mark turned to look at his clock at 2:54 pm.
Mark flopped back onto his bed. Attempting to fall back to sleep but was interrupted by the sudden vibrations and song playing from his phone.
He sighed and sat up to see who was calling him. "hey Hyuck. What's up?" Mark asked the boy at the end of the line.
"open up dummy. We agreed for me to come over at 2. I'm already late and have had to wait for 20 minutes out here!" the younger shouted loud enough for Mark to hear him over the phone and through the walls.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming" Mark chuckled. He rubbed his eyes and put on his glasses before walking to the door to allow the younger into the apartment.
Hyuck stormed past the shirtless boy, ranting about how he was stuck in the corridor looking like a right weirdo because the older hadn't answered the door for him.
The younger froze when he turned around, noticing the boy stood by the door watching him. Mark smirked as he watched the boy in front of him blush madly. Hyuck stared at the perfectly formed abs and chest before snapping out of it and going back to his ranting.
"AND GO PUT A SHIRT ON YOU PERVERT!" He finished off, pushing Mark into his room.
Mark smiled to himself as he had a quick shower and got dressed, leaving Hyuck to sit on the couch and play on his phone.
"so what do you want to do?" Mark asked as he stepped out of his room, drying his hair with a towel.
"I don't know? What do you want to do?" Hyuck asked, looking up from his phone and crossing his legs while getting comfortable on the couch.
"Ummm... Well, I'm starving so we could go out and grab something to eat and then we could come back and watch a movie or something?" Mark suggested as he walked into his kitchen to put together a cup of coffee. "do you want anything to drink?" he asked whole pulling a mug from the cupboard.
"no, why don't you get a coffee from wherever we go to eat?" Hyuck asked in the most confused tone.
"Good idea, I'll go put some shoes on and then we can go. I'll be just a minute" He shouted as he ran out the main room and into his bedroom.
Hyuck smiled before going back to looking at his phone.

The two ended up going to a cafe just down the road. Having a bite to eat and a few hot drinks to fight away the cold weather.
Afterwards, they headed back to Marks place and started watching a movie that Mark chose while Hyuck was putting together some snacks they had bought on the way home.
Hyuck walked into the lounge, placing the snacks on the coffee table next to the drinks they had already.
"so, what are we watching?" the younger asked as he flopped back onto the opposite end of the couch to where Mark was sat
"Well, I was going to put the purge on but-"
"NOPE! If you put that on, I swear I will be out of here faster than you can say baby lion" the younger raised his eyebrows giving Mark a look that said seriously?!
"that's what I thought, so I decided on spiderman. That way we can watch them for hours. Toby Maguire first?" Mark smiled slightly, giving the younger a questioning look.
"Good choice, good choice. NOW PRESS PLAY!" He shouted in a slightly sing-song tone.
Mark smiled and pressed the button, allowing the movie to begin, the opening music playing, turning both boys full attention to the screen in front of them.

The two managed to watch all the Toby Maguire movies and get halfway through the first Andrew Garfield movie before Hyuck checked the time.
"oh, shit! It's 10:27?! Ah! And it's dark!" the younger boy sighed, startling Mark.
"you can always stay here if you want?" Mark suggested shyly.
"Are you sure? But I don't have any pyjamas" the boy stressed.
"I'm sure I can find some spare for you to borrow" Mark shrugged. Hyuck looked up at the older boy as a small smile grew, he threw himself at Mark, embracing the older before pulling himself off and sitting shyly.
"since when have I been lucky enough to find a friend like you" Hyuck giggled, trying to break his own awkwardness.
Mark chuckled softly, "I'm glad you had that sudden spirt of luck" Mark smiled to the younger before they both turned away, blushing slightly even though they had no idea why.
Their cheeks a light shade of pink.
Their hearts beating that tiny bit faster.
Both felt lucky to have this new friend in their life.
To have a friend in their life.
