THEIR ENDING

"Hyungs want us to finalize the deal with the Busan hotel" Jungkook handed the men the report, "I want you three to go to Busan today arasso?"

"Neh hyung" they nodded.

*knock knock*

Kyungmin peeked her head through the door.

"Ah hyung" one of the guys nudged Jungkook.

Jungkook turned around and smiled when he saw Kyungmin standing by the doorway.

"You haven't had lunch yet have you?" Kyungmin asked sweetly.

Jungkook shook his head and then turned to the men staring at him with a cheeky smile.

"Yah...didn't I tell you guys to go already!" Jungkook frowned at them, "And...don't tell the hyungs about..." he looked back at Kyungmin.

The men cleared their throats and tried to not to smile as they bowed at Kyungmin too and left.

Kyungmin sighed and placed the lunch on the table, "Are you still that scared of oppas? You guys aren't in a gang anymore."

"I'm not scared" Jungkook pouted, "Just...a bit um..."

"Scared?" Kyungmin asked bluntly.

Jungkook sighed, "Arasso arraso I'm scared, we might not in a gang anymore but your oppas could kill me in a heartbeat if they found out about us."

After what happened that night, like the boys had promised the girls, they left the gang, or to be more precise they stopped all their criminal activities and started their own business. With their large networking and property around the country already, they were able to easily leave being a gang and start leading normal lives...well almost. Habits are hard to get rid of sometimes.

Kyungmin giggled and hugged Jungkook lovingly, "Aigoo...don't worry I'll protect you no matter what..." she suddenly stopped and her face fell slightly.

Jungkook noticed, she knew she was thinking about that night. The night that will forever remain with them.

Jungkook cupped her face and looked at her intently, "How is you know...how is-"

*ring ring*

Jin's call interrupted them.

"Neh oppa?" Kyungmin answers, "What? Right now?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Neh unnie?" Suji answered her phone as she went into her office, "Neh?!"

"Suji mianhe...but...i don't know how to say this...I just saw Seokjin with another girl..." Dawon said nervously, "And he kept touching her hand."

Suji sat back on her chair in shock, "...unnie?"

"Mianhe...I thought it was nothing but I just saw them go into a jewelry store-"

"Oh my god that b*stard!!" Suji shouted through the phone, "Where is he now?!"

----

Suji stormed out of her office just as one of the police officers stopped her, "Chief!"

"What?!" Suji shouted back angrily.

"Chief we were meant to go check out the-"

"Am I the only chief in this place?! Ask Hyerin!" Suji shouted in frustration.

"Chief Lee left as well-"

Suji ruffled her hair angrily, "Where did she go?!"

"I don't know she got a phone call and left."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I'm asking you one more time" Suga leaned forward on his chair while Hoseok stood by his side, "Are you sure you don't want to sell that land?"

The man in front of them sat there nervously, he pulled out his handkerchief and wiped the sweat of his brow.

"We heard you got that land under special circumstances" Hoseok added.

The man gulped and looked around nervously.

"Special as in not legal" Suga said as he laced his fingers together in front of him, "It'd be a shame if that piece of information was leaked don't you think Mr Yang?"

"What...do you want then?" Mr Yang asked nervously.

"We'll buy the land at a price-"

Suddenly the door was kicked open.

"What the hell-oh sh!t" Suga stood up and looked up to see Hyerin standing by the door with her arms crossed.

"Exactly!" Hyerin walked in, "What the hell is going on?!"

Suga cringed and sat back down on the chair eyeing Hoseok, "Nothing...we're in the middle of business."

"It doesn't look like normal business to me" Hyerin said as she eyed Mr Yang.

"I don't know what you're talking about" Suga shook his head.

"Oh really?" Hyerin laughed sarcastically before going up to him and grabbing his ear.

"aahh ahhh" Suga stood up trying to break free, "ahh babe ahh"

"Min Yoongi, why is a decent and honest businessman like you dealing like a gangster right now?" Hyerin asked still holding his ear.

"Ahh ahh, let me...ahh explain" Suga winced.

"I thought we were over all this! You promised to start fresh, never get involved in anything illegal?!" Hyerin asked angrily.

"Well, Hyerin-" Hoseok tried to interrupt.

"You stay out of this!" Hyerin glared at him, "I'll deal with you later" she then turned to Mr Yang, "And don't you think you're going anywhere. I know exactly what you've been up to."

Mr Yang cursed under his breath and rubbed his forehead.

"See...see I was trying to help you catch the guy" Suga lied holding onto her hand.

"Help me?" Hyerin asked sarcastically before she twisted his ear again.

"Ahh ahh!" Suga cried out, "I'm sorry. I won't do it again. I promise!"

Hyerin furrowed her brows before releasing his ear. She looked at him and huffed angrily, "You promised me before remember? Wait till I tell omma"

"Ani please don't tell omma" Suga begged suddenly.

"You should have thought of that before you did this!" Hyerin retorted.

Suga rubbed his ear and looked up suddenly noticing the seriousness in her voice and the sadness in her face.

"You promised me you'd never get involved with these types of people again, that you'd leave that life" Hyerin said sadly.

Suga reached out to her, "...I'm sorry Hyerin."

Hyerin bit her lip "We've come so far since then...I don't ever want to go back to how it was. Don't you remember anything from that night?!"

Suga sighed with regret and nodded. He held onto her hand and rubbed it gently with his thumb before stepping towards and embracing her gently.

"...it's the only way we can keep each other safe..." Hyerin whispered thinking back to that night.

"I'm sorry" Suga kissed the top of her head apologetically, "I wasn't thinking straight...I do remember. I remember every single day what happened that night and I won't ever let something like that happen again."

Hyerin placed her hand on his chest and looked sadly in the distance.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What about this Jin shi?" the woman asked as she placed her hand on his arm.

"That's nice" Jin nodded as he looked at her hand.

--

Suji's jaw hit the floor as she stood outside the store. She gripped onto her gun wanting to use it so badly.

"You b*stard you have no idea who you just messed with" Suji muttered as her eyes glazed over with anger.

--

"What about this?" the girl smiled seductively and placed her hand on his shoulder.

Jin held her hand and looked down, "I like this one too-"

"YOU BLOODY B*STARD!!"

Jin and all the other customers turned to the entrance where Suji was standing practically breathing fire.

"Suji?" Jin asked in shock, "...what...what are you doing here?!"

"What am I doing here?!" Suji asked disbelief. He didn't even have the guts to deny the fact that he was with another girl, "I can't believe this!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" she looked at the girl in disgust, "You're cheating on me with this?!" she pointed at the girl.

The girl scoffed and looked away angrily.

"Huh? Cheat? Wait what?!" Jin asked in confusion.

"Yah!" Suji shouted at him, "If you're going to cheat on me then cheat with someone better than me. Are you trying to insult me by getting with her?!"

"Excuse me-" the girl retorted.

"Shut up" Suji said bluntly, "I have a gun and a license to kill. Do not mess with me."

The girl stuttered slightly and stepped back nervously.

"Suji...you need to calm down" Jin tried to step towards her.

Suji stepped back and shook her head, "I should have known you were a jerk! In fact I knew you were a jerk the first time I met you!! You know when you locked me in a room for 24 hours you b*stard!"

"omo" the customers whispered to themselves and looked at Jin in disgust.

"No..no" he shook his head at them, "It's not how it sounds at all" he turned back to Suji, "Suji what are you doing?!"

"And to think that I wanted to have a future with you?!" Suji covered as actual tears fell from her eyes.

"Wait...are you crying?!" Jin asked in disbelief.

"Poor girl" the customers looked pity at her.

"All I wanted was a family with you but you turned out to be a bloody b*stard!!" she started taking her shoe off.

"Suji...wait..." Jin stepped back.

"I hope you go to hell!!" Suji shouted as she threw the shoe straight at his face.

"AGHH SH!T!" Jin clapped his hand over his eye and fell to the floor.

"Unnie!"

Suji turned around to see Kyungmin entering the shop.

"What...what's going on? You shouldn't be here!" Kyungmin asked in shock.

"Kyungmin?! Wait you knew he was cheating on me?! Oh my god-" Suji suddenly stopped and looked puzzled, "What do you mean I shouldn't be here?"

Kyungmin ran to Jin and helped him up, "Oppa are you ok?"

Jin winced in pain and nodded, "Your idiot unni thought I was cheating on her."

"What?" Kyungmin asked before turning to Suji, "Unnie? How could you think that?!"

"I got a call from Dawon unnie saying he was with a girl and when I got there he was being all touchy with that stick insect over there!" Suji retorted, "Of course he was cheating!"

Kyungmin sighed, "He wasn't cheating on you unnie. And that thing over there is staff here. She's been helping oppa choose an engagement ring for you!"

"Kyungmin please don't make excuses for him..." she suddenly stopped cold. Did she just say an engagement ring?

She looked back at Jin and she suddenly covered with her hands and cringed.

Jin sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, "Guess it's not a surprise anymore."

"Oh my god..." Suji stood there in shock, "...you were going...to..."

Jin stood up and touched his sore cheek slightly before walking to the counter. He picked up the ring he had chosen and walked up to Suji gruffly, "There!"

Suji blinked and looked down at the ring.

"I had the whole thing planned but you and that good for nothing brain of yours just ruined the whole thing" Jin grumbled.

Suji hung her head low and cursed herself"...mianhe...ottoke"

Jin shook his head and grabbed hold of her hand, "You just accused me of cheating on you, you just threatened to kill someone, you made me sound like I abuse you in front of strangers and gave me a black eye."

Suji bit her lip and looked up at him apologetically.

"But still I can't ever lose you" Jin sighed, "You've got this crazy hold on me Park Suji. And...well this might not be a big event I had planned but I guess it'll definitely be memorable...so Nam Suji will you marry me...please?"

Suji's eyes watered and broke into the biggest smile as she nodded.

Jin sighed with relief and he slipped the ring on while everyone clapped around them.

"I can't believe this" Suji exhaled as she looked at the diamond ring on her hand, "I...can't believe after everything...we're engaged. This is actually happening?"

Jin wiped her tears with his thumb, "To be honest after that...night...I wanted to ask you right away but I just didn't know how. After what happened to..." Jin stopped and stared into space.

Suji held onto his shirt tightly as she remembered the night too.

"...no matter how long it's been...that night still haunts me..." Suji said quietly.

Jin snapped back to reality and looked down at Suji, "But we'll be ok...don't worry."

Suji nodded and smiled sadly, "...but what about...?"

Jin took a deep breath, "Soo Ah?"

Suji's eyes flickered slightly before looking up at Seokjin.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She turned her face towards the window where the rays of the sun touched her skin. With her eyes closed, her hand slowly rose towards the rays and she turned her hand playing with the warm rays.

It reminded her of him.

It was something she couldn't see, but she felt it. She felt its warmth even though it was invisible. Just like him. He wasn't here but her memories of him holding her, speaking to her were so real that when she closed her eyes she felt his presence. She felt his warmth just like the sun rays dancing around her hands.

She slowly opened her eyes and squinted as the bright sunlight blinded her. She raised her hand to cover her eyes for a moment.

When she did finally open her eyes she saw a familiar figure standing by the windows. His face, the one she had dream about over and over again was half hidden by the curtains as they blew gently in the wind.

She didn't smile, she wasn't happy to see him. What was there to be happy about when he was just her imagination? Her eyes flickered slightly as he stepped towards her gently, his footsteps making no sound on the wooden floor of her bedroom.

She held her breath as she watched him kneel in front of her. He held her hand and looked up at her with a warm smile.

She looked down at their hands and then slowly back at him, her eyes slowly becoming blurry from the tears forming.

He furrowed his brows and shook his head, he reached to hold her cheek and gently wiped a tear with his thumb '...Soo Ah'

Soo Ah's lips trembled as she smiled sadly, '...Namjoon...I miss you...'

RM nodded slowly as she leaned her cheek onto his hand.

'...and I'm so sorry' Soo Ah spoke without words.

RM's face remained expressionless as Soo Ah imagined him looking back at her.

"..nam-"

"Soo Ah!"

Soo Ah spun around when she heard Dawon's voice outside. She looked at the door for a moment before turning back to RM, only to find he was gone. Even though she knew it was her imagination she still looked around the room in a panic, searching for him.

"Soo Ah?" Dawon opened the door and looked at Soo Ah worriedly.

Soo Ah looked at her, her eyes were red from the tears.

Dawon sighed heavily, feeling helpless for her, " Come on Soo Ah, you haven't had anything to eat all morning."

Soo Ah shook her head and slowly got under her duvet. She laid down and turned away from Dawon before looking back up at the sun rays again.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Chief Lee"

Someone called Hyerin as soon as she entered the police station.

"Yea?" Hyerin furrowed her brows as one of the officers came to her with a phone.

"It's Chief Song" he handed her the phone.

"Chief!!" Hyerin smiled as she answered, "How are you?"

"I'm fine, finally enjoying a retired life" he laughed through the phone.

"I'm glad to hear that. But when are you coming back to Seoul?" Hyerin pouted slightly.

Chief's chuckle could be heard through the phone again, "We'll see about that."

"Well you better come soon, Suji just called and guess what? She's engaged!" Hyerin smiled brightly.

"Chincha?! Nam Suji a married woman well I never thought I'd see the day!" Chief gasped, "In that case, I'll have to come back!"

"Exactly, she'll want you to be here...after all you've helped us so much Chief" Hyerin said sincerely.

"I did because you three girls mean the world to me" Chief replied.

"Thank you chief...for everything," Hyerin said softly.

"You're not going to be a good chief if you're going to be all soppy like this you know" Chief .

"You know what I mean chief" Hyerin sighed.

"I know...I know" he exhaled, "You girls went through a lot mianhe for that."

Hyerin smiled sadly but didn't say anything.

"Hyerin?...I heard about CG..." Chief said seriously.

Hyerin gulped slightly, "...yes."

"Do you know who did it?" Chief asked again.

CG had been sentenced to prison for life 2 months ago after a long and tiring court battle. But because CG knew people in high places CG was planning to appeal against the life sentence meaning he could get out of prison in a few years' time. So one night, a month ago when the prison guards went to check on CG in his cell they found him dead with a stab wound through his heart. Till this day no one knows who it was. Most people suspect it was suicide but the girls couldn't help but wonder if it was the gang. They knew how much they wanted to protect the girls, and even though they weren't in a gang anymore it wouldn't stop the boys from doing anything to protect the girls.

Hyerin took a deep breath, "...no chief."

"Then let's leave it" Chief said, "Don't investigate into it."

"Neh chief?" Hyerin asked.

"Whoever killed CG did a favor for all of us" Chief replied, "There's no need to waste time investigating something like this."

"Chief-"

"So when is the wedding date set for?" Chief quickly changed the subject.

Hyerin sighed but couldn't help but feel relieved, "They haven't decided yet chief."

"And what about you? How are you and Suga? And our omma?"

"We're fine. And omma is recovering very well in America. The operation was a success and she'll be coming back to Korea in a few weeks time." Hyerin smiled brightly.

"That's good to hear...and...Soo Ah?" Chief asked.

Hyerin's face fell slightly, "...Soo Ah?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"This is why you should have told me too" Dawon retorted as they entered the apartment, "I thought you were cheating on Suji!"

Suji smiled as Jin apologised to Dawon repeatedly.

"I still don't get how this is my fault but I'm sorry noona" Jin said holding Dawon's hands.

"But still how could you accuse oppa of cheating chincha?!" Kyungmin asked

"Well can you blame me?!" Dawon asked back.

Suji shook her head and looked at the empty apartment. Her eyes went straight to Soo Ah's room and she sighed heavily.

"Has she been out of her room today?" Suji asked.

Dawon stopped arguing with Kyungmin and looked at Suji, "...no...like always she just sits there staring out of the window."

"Unnie why don't you tell Soo Ah unnie about your engagement...that might cheer her up" Kyungmin suggested.

Suji looked at Jin and shook her head, "No...it might just remind her of...of...Namjoon."

"She's your best friend, she'd be happy for you Suji-ah" Dawon explained.

Jin nodded at Suji, "give it a try Suji."

"Neh unnie...at least try," Kyungmin said again.

Suji took a deep breath and slowly walked up to Soo Ah's door.

"...Soo Ah?" she knocked gently.

Jin nodded at her reassuringly and waited for Soo Ah.

Suji furrowed her brows and knocked again, "Soo Ah?", but there was no reply. Suji looked at the door curiously before opening the door, "Soo Ah?"

"She's not here?" Dawon asked looking around at the empty room.

Suji sighed and looked at the room sadly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The lift door pinged open revealing Soo Ah alone. Her eyes slowly looked up and she stepped out as the door closed behind her.

She stood there for a long moment before walking up to the opposite wall. Her hand then traced the cold hard wall as she walked towards the familiar door.

The closer she got to the door the faster her heartbeat and the sharper her breathing got. She felt the all too familiar feeling of pain back in her heart but her legs kept bringing her closer to his door.

Finally, she reached the door and she stared at it. Was she hoping for it to miraculously open and reveal him standing there smiling at her? That was too much to ask.

Her shaking hand reached for the door handle and she pushed it down until she heard a small click and pushed the door completely open.

A dark and empty apartment welcomed her. She looked inside numbly searching for a sign of him in the darkness, "...Namjoon?..." she whispered, her voice shaking.

Silence answered her back. What was she hoping for anyway?

Her lips trembled at the silence and she entered the apartment and again her hand reached for the wall. Her hands traced the walls softly, traced the walls he'd walked past so many times.

The apartment was just as empty as it had always been. But why was it that without him it felt more than empty? It felt suffocating. It felt like the emptiness was choking her slowly.

Soo Ah gripped onto a nearby table and clutched her chest tightly. She felt weak just being back in this apartment. His apartment. It reminded her too much of that night. Reminded her too much that he wasn't here.

She took a deep breath and made her way to his room. The door was still left open, everything was exactly how he had left it. She edged into the room and looked around.

She walked towards the chair where one of his shirts still hung. She shakingly reached for the white shirt and stepped back slowly until she reached the bed and sat down.

Soo Ah's hands nervously felt the soft fabric in her hands and she laid back down on the bed, curling up into a ball with the shirt still in her hands.

As she laid there her tears fell one by one down her cheek and onto the sheets. She finally closed her eyes and the scent on the shirt was enough for her to bring RM back to her. She imagined his warm arms wrap around behind her, his hands tracing away her hair and his lips gently kissing her head. Soo Ah smiled and opened her eyes gently and his presence melted away too. Her face fell slightly in disappointment. Her lips started trembling and she clutched the shirt even tighter as she sat up on the bed. What right did she have to cry? The reason he wasn't here was her fault wasn't it?

She took a deep breath and turned away when something caught her eye. Her brows furrowed as she leaned forward to look at something placed neatly on the bedside table. It was a single photo. But RM never had any pictures. She stood up and walked to the other side of the bed towards the photo that was lying flat on the table.

When Soo Ah got close enough she suddenly clasped her hand over on seeing the picture.

It was a picture of her.

She stumbled back slightly and fell onto her knees holding her breath.

But she didn't deserve to cry. She shouldn't cry. It was because of her he wasn't here. But when she looked back at the photo she couldn't hold it any longer.

Soo Ah took a deep breath and when she exhaled the most heart wrenching cry left her lips. She held onto the bed as her body shook with each painful sob.

"...I'm so sorry..Namjoon-ah...please come back now..." she wept as she hit her heart repeatedly, "...come back now please....Namjoon-ah please...where are you?!"

----

Suji placed her head back on the wall outside RM's room and looked back at the gang as Soo Ah's cries filled the space between them all.

"This can't go on" Hyerin said quietly, "We have to do something."

"What can we do?" Kyungmin looked at them sadly, "...only...only oppa could..."

They all looked up at her knowing what she was trying to say.

Kyungmin took a deep breath and looked through the doorway at Soo Ah still crying, "...just the thing is...he's not here..."

Suji sighed before making her way to Soo Ah.

"Soo Ah?" Suji placed her hand on Soo Ah's shoulder.

Soo Ah sniffled as she looked back at Suji, "...Suji-ah" she fell into Suji's arms and wept, "...why isn't he here?...Suji-ah!"

Suji held her tightly and looked back at the gang helplessly.

*ring ring* *ring ring*

Kyungmin quickly answered her phone, "Halmoni?"

Soo Ah looked up in surprise as Kyungmin's eyes widened.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"...halmoni..." Soo Ah exhaled quickly as she ran up to the old lady.

Halmoni sighed and shook her head.

Soo Ah hugged her tightly, "I...I...missed you so much"

Halmoni clucked her tongue and hugged her back, "I just don't understand the two of you sometimes" she held Soo Ah at an arms' length and pouted again, "You started it, you end it. I've had enough."

Soo Ah looked at her expectantly, "You know where he-"

"He's over there" halmoni nodded towards the car.

Soo Ah's eyes widened and she looked up at the car just in time to see the boot of the car shutting and there he was.

Namjoon shut the boot of the car and swung a bag over his back casually before stepping away from the car. He looked at the side and saw the girls, he nodded at them before turning towards halmoni and that's when he stopped on his tracks. No matter how mad he was at Soo Ah, the mere image of her standing in front of her was enough to knock the breath out of his lungs for a moment.

Soo Ah's face twisted with hurt as Namjoon stopped in front of her.

He clenched his jaw and looked away not wanting to say anything to her.

---

"Halmoni" Suji hugged her, "Namjoon was with you all along?"

Halmoni shook her head, "I don't know where he was but he came to see me a week ago and finally explained to me what happened."

"Did Namjoon overhear our conversation?" Hyerin asked warily, "Is that why he left?"

Halmoni sighed and looked back at the two, "He said something about Soo Ah not wanting to be with him. But I told him that was just not possible and made him come back."

"He must have heard our conversation then" Kyungmin sighed.

"What did Soo Ah say that made him leave like that?" Jin asked, "None of us could even get a hold of him."

"My grandson is as stubborn as they get" halmoni sighed, "It was nearly impossible bringing him back like this."

---

Namjoon looked back at Soo Ah before walking past her angrily.

Soo Ah suddenly furrowed her brows and stormed towards him and slapped his arm angrily.

"Ow! YA-"

"Did that hurt?! Good!" Soo Ah shouted before she slapped his arm again, "You idiot!! You think it's funny leaving without telling me and then going off all this time without contacting me?!! !!" she hit him hard on the arm again.

"YA! What is it with you always hitting me?! AISH!" Namjoon growled but that just made Soo Ah hit him harder.

"Do you even know how worried I was?!" Soo Ah shouted as tears started to stain her cheeks, "I've been running around in panic thinking something happened to you!! How could you do this to me?!"

"You were worried?!" Namjoon retorted, "I thought you didn't want anything to do with me?!"

Soo Ah blinked slightly, "...how....how can you even say that?!"

"I heard everything!" Namjoon retorted, "That's why you've refused to move in with me right?!"

"I told you I want to take things slowly!" Soo Ah shouted, "It's only been 6 months since and-"

"And what?!" Namjoon raised his voice, "Yoongi and Hyerin live together, I heard Seokjin and Suji are engaged and wait-" he turned to Jungkook and pointed at him, "And don't think I don't know about you and Kyungmin!!"

Jungkook and Kyungmin glanced at each other nervously.

"I'll deal with you two later!" Namjoon growled before turning back to Soo Ah.

Soo Ah shook her head and reached for his arm "So that's them-"

"Forget it!" Namjoon said angrily before walking past her towards the hotel.

Soo Ah grabbed onto his arm but Namjoon angrily pulled his arm away. Before she knew it her eyes started to blur from the tears and she wiped her fallen tears as she looked at him walk away.

Did he really have to be a jerk? Ok ok so maybe the whole thing was Soo Ah's fault to begin with.

[Flashback 1 month ago]

"Have the Jeju hotel deal finalised by tomorrow morning hyung?" RM said to Suga through the phone, "And bring it over to the office."

He ended the call as he reached the girls' apartment. Without knocking and still checking his phone he entered and headed down the corridor.

"What do you mean you're not thinking about it? Don't you want to be with RM?"

Namjoon stopped in his tracks when he heard Hyerin mention his name. The girls must have been in the kitchen. But before he could go in, he heard Soo Ah's voice.

"You know how I feel about all this marriage stuff" Soo Ah sighed, "I...I get scared..."

Namjoon furrowed his brows and stepped closer to the kitchen door without being seen.

"You get scared?" Suji raised a brow at her friend, "Of what exactly? There is no other person that loves you as much as Namjoon-"

"I know that" Soo Ah replied, "But living with him and then getting married is a completely different thing"

"You pretty much live with oppa anyway" Kyungmin added, "What's the difference?"

"There is" Soo Ah shook her head, "I mean I know our relationship isn't the most normal one...and everything happened in such a short period of time..."

"So?" Hyerin asked as she sipped her coffee.

"So...it's only been 5 months since...that happened" Soo Ah said, her voice shaking slightly when she remembered the night.

The night she had woken up and had the first breath of her second chance of life. The night she turned to see Namjoon lying pale and bloodied next to her on the cold floor. That was the most terrifying moment of her life. If it wasn't for chief and the boys who had taken Namjoon to the hospital on time maybe...just maybe he wouldn't be by her side right now.

He'd been in the hospital for a month after that, had to have two operations on his spleen and his liver where he'd been stabbed from the back. He had been in a coma for 2 weeks and no one knew if he would make it or not. That whole time Soo Ah had stayed by his side, wanting to be there when he woke up but more than that afraid he would leave without a last goodbye. Even after waking up he had to train his weak muscles to walk all over again, he'd had temporary short term memory loss for a while because of his head injuries so if it wasn't for Soo Ah and the gang who stayed by him no matter what he may not have recovered.

I'm scared..." Soo Ah admitted, "...I'm still scared."

"About oppa?" Kyungmin asked.

Namjoon still listened, having heard everything so far. Was this what Soo Ah had been thinking all this time? While he was thinking about their future together, Soo Ah was thinking about this? She didn't want a future with him.

"Yes...I'm worried about everything. What kind of future I'll have with him...It scares me" Soo Ah sighed, "It's not the future I want. I don't want a future with him..."

Namjoon clenched his jaw and looked away. She didn't want to be with him? At that moment in time, her words were the most hurtful things he had ever heard anyone say. Numbly he stepped away and walked out of the apartment.

"I don't want a future with him if it means he'll put himself in danger for me like that again. I'm scared if something happens to me...it'll ruin him. I don't like how I affect him so much. You saw what happened last time? If someone like CG comes into our lives again Namjoon won't hesitate to risk his life for me again. I can't have that. I love him too much to do that to him" Soo Ah shook her head.

"...I love him too much..." she sighed heavily.

[End of flashback]

"What did you exactly hear?!" Soo Ah shouted after him, "Whatever it was it's not what you think-"

"You don't want a future with me!" RM turned back around.

Soo Ah stopped and stared at him sadly.

"You don't want to be with me" RM said quietly.

"Is...is that why you went away? All this time you left me, it was because you overheard a part of my conversation?!...For a guy who says he can't live without me, the guy who said he'll always be my side...you left me all this time because of that?" Soo Ah asked hurt.

Namjoon looked away.

"That's all it took for you to leave me? Some stupid words?" Soo Ah asked again.

"Those stupid words are what you think of me" Namjoon replied, "And you are the only person that can affect me with just words."

Soo Ah shook her head. He was just showing how much she affected him, just what she was scared of.

"Your words and the way you look at me are the only way I know what I'm doing is right or wrong" Namjoon clenched his jaw, "And right now I am trying so hard not to be that guy I used to be. The one you hated, the one you were always disappointed in. So to you they may just be stupid words, but to me they're everything."

Soo Ah closed her eyes and held her breath, "...Namjoon-"

Namjoon just shook his head and turned away.

"Listen to me!" Soo Ah shouted after him, "If my words meant so much to you, didn't you hear what I said that night?!"

Namjoon stopped but didn't turn around.

"How much I love you! That I'm scared of a future with you because I'm scared I'll end up hurting you again. That you'll run into danger for me without thinking?!" Soo Ah shouted through her tears, "Do you even know how scared I was when I woke up to your beaten up body that night?! I thought you were dead! Do you know how guilty I felt! How I wanted to turn back time, how much I wanted to swap places with you so it would be me saying goodbye and not you?!"

Namjoon slowly turned around, his eyes glistening with tears. He looked at how Soo Ah wept as she said all that.

"How can you...I can't believe you just left because you thought I didn't want you?!" Soo Ah shook her head in disbelief.

"What was I supposed to do then?" Namjoon asked a bit calmer now.

"Fight for me!" Soo Ah retorted, "Don't accept that I don't want you! You should have fought for me!"

Namjoon raked his hair in frustration. Now knowing that Soo Ah really never meant to hurt him and that she never wanted to leave him, he couldn't help but feel guilty having left her all this time. At the time he wasn't thinking straight. He thought that Soo Ah didn't want to be with him anymore and he didn't want to burden her any longer. He had thought that maybe Soo Ah felt like she had to stay with him because he saved her life. But now he knew it was nothing like that.

"Nappeun nom!" Soo Ah muttered angrily as she wiped her tears with her palm.

"...Soo Ah..." Namjoon said apologetically.

"What?! You want to know more?! Do you really need words to know how I feel about you?! Do you really need me to move in with you to know I want to be with you?!" Soo Ah shouted.

Namjoon sighed and stood there as Soo Ah kept wiping her tears away and trying to look strong in front of him.

"Fine!!" Soo Ah said angrily, "YOU WANT ME TO MOVE IN WITH YOU THAT BADLY THEN I WILL!"

Namjoon sighed with guilt when he saw her face stained with tears. No matter how angry and frustrated he made her, he still loved her just as much if not more than that night he nearly died for her. He made his way to her and reached for her arms.

Soo Ah hit his hands away and glared at him, "I'll move in with you and I'm...I'm going to paint the whole apartment pink with glitter do you hear me you b*stard!"

Namjoon nodded slowly, "Ok...but you hate pink."

Soo Ah furrowed her eyes angrily and glared at him, "That's not it! I'm going to force you to marry me and then have 10 kids and you'll have to change their diapers and wake up every night when they cry!!"

Namjoon tried not to smile now. How did she manage to change such a tense situation around like this?

"Why are you smiling?!" Soo Ah exclaimed, "I mean it-"

"Ok" Namjoon smiled, "Should we get married tomorrow?"

Soo Ah's smile faded, her plan of scaring him wasn't really going to plan and he knew it.

"...tomorrow?" Soo Ah asked slowly, "...fi-ne...Fine!"

"Ok" Namjoon replied again trying to stifle his laughter.

"ok?" Soo Ah looked confused, "...I..I mean....did you do not hear the part about having 10 kids-"

"Make that 20" Namjoon grinned and then winked at her.

"Omo!" Soo Ah startled at the wink. Her lips parted as she looked on in shock.

Namjoon laughed slightly and then walked up to her, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him so that the tips of their noses were touching.

Soo Ah's eyes widened and she tried to step back but Namjoon wrapped his other arm around her waist and held onto her tighter. Soo Ah's hands immediately went onto his chest for support and she looked up into his eyes, "I'm...I'm still mad at you!"

Namjoon took a deep breath and gently touched her nose with his and leaned his forehead on her forehead, "...I wish you weren't so scared of having a future with me..."

"I'm... scared for you..." Soo Ah whispered, "I'm scared...you'll get hurt because of me again."

Namjoon leaned his head back and looked at her face seriously.

"I don't want you to do what you did for me last time," Soo Ah said quietly.

"But I will" Namjoon replied surely.

"Exactly..." Soo Ah sighed, "That's why I'm scared to be with you...I'm scared you love me too much-"

Namjoon smiled and shook his head slightly at her, "You still don't get it, do you?"

Soo Ah tilted her head to the side and blinked.

"This is the way I want to feel..." Namjoon whispered to her with so much sincerity it shocked Soo Ah, "I wasted my whole life hating everyone in it. After you came I didn't want to be like that anyway. And I don't know either. I want this. I want to love you too much..."

Soo Ah stared at him for a moment before breaking into a warm smile, "When did you get so good with words?" she pouted until her eyes fell onto his lips and she gently leaned in to kiss him softly, "...I love you too much too."

---

Kyungmin clapped her hands and hugged Jungkook.

Seokjin hugged Suji from the back and they walked towards Namjoon and Soo Ah.

--

"So... 20 kids eh?" Namjoon teased Soo Ah.

Soo Ah glared at him.

"15 then" Namjoon smiled.

Soo Ah shook her head and rolled her eyes at him.

"You can't take your word back Kang Soo Ah" Namjoon warned her.

"I know...I know...but I mean..." Soo Ah tried to come up with something, "Is it really...really necessary to get married right away?"

"Oh you want 25 kids ok" Namjoon suddenly said.

"WHAT?!" Soo Ah exclaimed, "What...what are you on about?!"

"The longer you keep rejecting me the more kids we'll have to have" Namjoon nodded confidently.

Soo Ah went pale for a moment, "25...kids?...."

"Not enough for you?" Namjoon teased, "Ok...30-"

"STOP!!" Soo Ah shouted, "Ok...ok" she took a deep breath and looked at him nervously, "...ask...ask me to marry you then...properly?"

Namjoon looked at her for a moment, "...really?"

Soo Ah nodded with a warm smile.

The others joined them now and watched them.

Hyerin reached for Yoongi's arm and leaned close to him. Yoongi kissed her head and brought her closer to him.

"Quick before I change my mind" Soo Ah crossed her arms across her chest and pouted.

Namjoon stepped back and looked confused. He didn't know what to do suddenly, "Um...I...but remember I told you...why I want to marry you before-"

"That doesn't count" Soo Ah shook her head and broke into a smile before looking towards the girls.

"I..I..." Namjoon stuttered not knowing what to say.

"Oppa do we have to teach you everything?" Kyungmin asked and hid behind Jungkook quickly.

Namjoon rubbed the back of his neck and looked at Soo Ah apologetically, "I...I...I don't have a ring..."

"Yah Namjoon, do you want me to run and buy a ring?" Hoseok asked sincerely.

The girls laughed and Soo Ah shook her head. She turned to Namjoon and tilted her head to the side and laughed.

Namjoon ruffled his hair in frustration and looked back at Soo Ah.

"Hey..." Soo Ah stepped closer to him, she placed her hand on his chest and smiled, "I don't need a ring, I don't need things normal couples have, remember?"

Namjoon looked at her sadly, he probably could never give her things that normal couples had. He couldn't even propose to her properly.

"Because we're not like them" Soo Ah smiled, "We're us."

Namjoon's eyes flickered slightly. We're us. He broke into a small smile and he nodded.

"All I need is for you to tell me how you feel right here...like always" she gently tapped his chest, "If you do I'm yours."

"In here?" Namjoon asked quietly.

Soo Ah nodded.

Namjoon took a deep breath and smiled at her, "In here...it will always be you."

Soo Ah's lips parted slightly and she looked longingly at Namjoon.

Namjoon placed his hand over her hand, "No matter where you are...this right here" he tapped his heart, "will always lead me back to you."

Soo Ah let her tears fall and she smiled while crying.

Namjoon took a deep breath, "please...m...marry me" he looked at her hesitantly "...I lov-"

"Love you" Soo Ah finished his sentence before flinging her arms around Namjoon's neck and kissing him.

"Is that a yes?" Namjoon asked not sure.

"YES YES YES YES!" Soo Ah cried happily.

Namjoon broke into a smile and wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her up before turning her around.

----

"I am glad that's done" Jimin sighed with relief, "If Soo Ah had rejected hyung do you know how much crap we would get from him?!"

Yoongi laughed and back hugged Hyerin instead, "Hey, should we get married too?"

Hyerin tilted her head to the side and scoffed, "Are you mad? I still haven't forgiven you for what you did this afternoon."

"Ah babe I said I was sorry" Yoongi whined.

"Forget it" Hyerin shook her head, "Oh and you're sleeping on the couch tonight."

"...um but we have a spare room-"

"I said you're sleeping on the couch!" Hyerin retorted.

Yoongi paused before breaking into laughter, he hugged her tighter and kissed her cheek.

"Yah!" Hyerin tried to push him away.

"I love you!" he kissed her cheek again.

Hyerin sighed, she could never win.

"You say it too" Yoongi nudged her.

Hyerin pouted and mumbled, "love you too..."

"What was that?!" Yoongi pretended he couldn't hear."

Hyerin took a deep breath and shouted in his ear, "I LOVE YOU!!"

"Ah!" Yoongi fell back and held his ear in pain.

Hyerin laughed and kneeled in front of him before hugging him tightly, she looked at him for a moment before kissing him, "I really love you."

"Can you two get a room please" Hoseok sighed, depressed he was still single as the day he was born.

"Chill Hoseok" Seokjin, "I'll find you a girl don't worry."

"Yea why don't you let him date that girl you were sooooo friendly with today?" Suji said sarcastically.

"Wah chincha" Jin scoffed, "That poor girl did nothing wrong. You should be grateful she isn't suing you for threatening to kill her."

Suji pouted, "Did she have to be so clingy though?"

"She was helping me choose the ring for you" Jin explained, "Yah at least you got a ring. Poor Soo Ah she didn't even get a ring."

"Poor Soo Ah??" Suji scoffed, "When you have a guy like Namjoon as your boyfriend there is no need to feel sorry for the girl."

"And what about me?" Jin retorted.

"Meh" Suji shrugged.

"Yah this woman!" Jin ruffled his hair in frustration, "This girl will be the end of me!"

Suji laughed and clasped her hands together, "And you have a whoooole life with me to suffer"

Jin squinted his eyes and shook his head, "You're one scary yeoja."

Suji laughed and flung her arms around his neck, "I love you."

Jin nodded, "I love you too...but you're still evil."

----

"AHHH! Namjoon you can put me down now!" Soo Ah laughed as he spun her around.

Namjoon shook his head.

"Namjoon!" Soo Ah hit his arm playfully.

He finally put her back on the ground and traced her cheek with his hand.

Soo Ah furrowed her brows, "...what is it?"

"Thank you" Namjoon whispered before leaning his head on hers.

Soo Ah blinked slightly.

Namjoon smiled warmly at her, "Just thank you...for coming into my life like this."

Soo Ah bit her lip and got on her tip toes to kiss him gently.
