"I hate homework!" Zen shouted all of a sudden, scaring the crap out of the three who were doing their own paperworks.

"Just shut up and finish it." Charles grumbled. "You should enjoy highschool while it lasts. If you're in college. It's hell."

Zen hummed. "So you're saying that highschool is purgatory?"

Charles shrugged. "Whatever you say. You're the one who said it not me."

Zen scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Fine. Answer me that way, I don't care."

"Yeah, you shouldn't care. You should care about your damn homework, Zen." Charles bite out making Zen roll his eyes.

"Wow, someone woke up on the other wrong side of the bed today."

"Just stop bothering me." Charles sighed in exasperation.

But Zen, being the annoying brat that he was, didn't stop from there.

"Stop bothering me." He mocked, making the older one glare at him.

"Zen." Charles warned.

"Zen." The said man said in a sing a song tone, wiggling his eyebrow to completely mock Charles.

"Stop it you two." Owen demanded, feeling a bit annoyed at their bickering. Actually, all of their day didn't start as good as it should be. A day where all of them are pissed and annoyed is something that really occur sometimes.

And it's never a good thing.

"Oh, c'mon Owen. Stop being an old grandpa." Zen snorted and leaned against his chair, crossing his arms to annoy him even further.

"He'll stop after you two stop acting like an old married couple." Xavier strained out, glaring at Zen and Charles.

Charles scoffed. "Who would want to marry him?"

Owen snorted while Xavier shake his head in annoyance.

Zen slammed his hand on the table, creating shock faces among the three. He then glared at the three of them.

"Zenriel!" Xavier warned, glowering over him. "You should watch your manners."

"Well, they should watch their mouths." Zen defended angrily.

"Us?" Charles laughed mockingly. "You started it."

"Now you two... " Owen started but his words weren't heard.

"Oh, so you're gonna play the blame game?" Zen angrily demanded making everyone's blood boil with anger at his tone.

"Play the blame game?" Charles was literally shaking at Zen's attitude. He was being a brat. What the hell. "You literally started it!"

"I literally did not!"

"Shut up!" Owen said but instead of following his order, Charles looked at him and narrowed his eyes.

"Stay away from this!" Was his reply, making Owen shake with anger.

"Don't talk to him like that, Charles!" Xavier slightly raised his voice as Charles and Zen bickered.

"You're not my dad and his not my mom!" Charles said and Zen snorted.

"But he's still-"

"Yeah, Owen? He's what?" Zen asked. "Just shut the fuck up!"

"Fuck!"

The four froze.

Zen's blood just ran cold. His little sweetheart's voice was like a slap back to reality. The monster inside of them was buried again deep inside because their little angel was here and she said the most disgusting word ever.

The 'F' word.

The four immediately looked at where Athena was at and she was just adorably sitting on the wooden floor with her favorite doll in front of her. She giggled and waved the stuffed doll's hand to indicate that it was saying hi.

It was as if there was no bad bone in Athena. She was just honest and pure. Lovable and smart. Beautiful and nothing but pureness.

Someone who's just too good for this cruel world.

"Baby doll, you're not supposed to say that." Owen said, his tone was so soft, nothing like before where his rude mouth was spouting rude words.

Athena tilted her head to the side, her eyes filled with nothing but curiosity.

There were always some days where Athena would just act like a complete child. A girl who's just seven years old and a half. She would act like everything would be alright. That everything would be great and fantastic.

And sometimes, they believe that it is great and fantastic.

"Why not?" She asked. "Zenny said it."

"But you're still too young to say it, love." Xavier explained, giving her a small smile.

"I'm old enough!" She defended, with a small pout that she unconsciously did.

The two just watched her as she glared adorably at them.

Zen stood up and walked towards her, she looked up at him as he smiled down at her.

"It's a bad word, baby girl." Athena, like a toddler, raised both of her hands, making grabby hands at her brother.

Zen chuckled and carried her.

"But Wenny and Xavi say it! You and Charlie too!" Athena explained with a huff as the four listened.

"Between you and me... " Zen leaned closer to her ear. "It's because me and the rest are VIPs."

Athena giggled. "No you're not!"

Zen smirked and thew her up in the air, causing her to shriek and laugh at his action.

"Zenriel!" Owen said worriedly. "Don't throw her up in the air!"

"But s' fun!" Athena pouted as Zen rolled his eyes and placed her back on the safe flat floor.

"C'mere, pumpkin." Charles beckoned and Athena went straight to his awaiting arms. He carried her to his lap and she stared down at his essays and paperworks.

"What're you doing?" She asked curiously as Charles buried his nose under the smell of Athena. She smells good. Like strawberries and vanilla.

It really calms him down.

"Just homework, love." Xavier answered Athena's question for Charles.

She tilted her head the side. "Is this why you guys are fighting?"

Oh.

So she heard them.

They don't like Athena to see how they get mad at each other or at other people. It just feels wrong to let Athena see them in rage. She's this innocent little baby girl and they're the raging beasts. It just doesn't sit well.

"You heard?" Zen asked, even though the answer should be clear enough for all of them.

Athena nodded as she look at the papers, reading them.

"Yup! I came to save you guys!"

Charles cuddled closer to Athena like she's a warm teddy bear and sighed contently. "Good job, pumpkin. Charlie's saved."

"Yeah, kid." Zen cheered, high-fiving Athena. The little girl gladly gave him a high-five.

"Athena, we were fine." Owen said, smiling a little.

Athena smirked. "Were, Wenny. I believe that were is the past tense of are."

"Oh don't be so smart on us, Thea." Xavier said without any anger or annoyance.

Athena shrugged. "I'm being smart on behalf of all of you."

Xavier raised a brow. "Why's that?"

"Because I believe that all of your smart powers have left! You guys were acting stupid and worst of it all was that it all came down to fighting. What's so much worse than what I've just said was that it started because of a homework!"

Now she's acting more of an adult.

Well, more of a mother, really.

Owen sighed, feeling defeated. "Fine. We were fighting a little bit but it's nothing to worry about, Thea."

"Speaking of homework, have you done yours?" Xavier asked, remembering that Athena goes to school and school gives assignments, right?

She smirked at him. "I finished it earlier than the rest of you!"

The little girl then turned to Owen again. "And also, s' my job to worry for Wenny and the others. You said that we look out for each other and I wanna look out for you, Xavi, Charlie and Zenny because family is all about helping and caring and being there for each other! Don't push me away." She then pouted, grumbling a lot of incoherent words from under her breath.

But that answers it.

That simple, childish answer was pure. There were no lies behind every word. It was filled with nothing but honesty and nothing but honesty. It gave their hearts a 'KABOOM' because their hearts just exploded and it's because of Athena.

She filled them up with love and cuteness and it just went overboard that it just couldn't take it so it exploded!

Owen groaned but there was a small smile on his face.

Xavier just stared at her, blinking a few times.

Zen was frozen in place, his beating heart was making his head hurt so freaking bad.

And Charles was trying not cry but he was desperately and hopelessly failing at it.

"You're unbelievable, do you know that?" Xavier blurted out, making Athena look at him in amusement.

"It's a title that I wanna live up for." Athena answered confidently.

"You think so?" Xavier asked in pure amusement.

Athena nodded, the smile on her face was as bright as the sun and the stars in the sky. Her ocean blue eyes sparkled with warmth and enjoyment as she look at each and every one of them. The way she answers them held no room for any lies. She was blunt and smart, courageous and loyal to her family. She treats everybody equally.

"A-Are you sure that you're not an angel sent from the heavens above?" Zen deadpanned and Athena suddenly grinned smugly.

"Did I hear you stutter, Zenriel?" She said and Zen scoffed.

"A devil then!" Zen huffed.

"Well, this calls for a group hug!" Owen stated, standing up at his sit and Xavier surprisingly stood up as well.

Zen chuckled and hugged them as the two eldest did the same. Charlie kissed her forehead lovingly as he hugged her closely to the people she called her family.

"We love you, Athena. Always." Xavier whispered and Athena giggled.

She's their Savior.

She's the only one who can tame them.

She's the only one who can shines brighter than any stars in the vast dark skies and the yellow sun of the day in the blue ocean skies.

She's the only Athena Eleanore Hale that the guards would die to protect.

"I know." She said, hugging them tightly. "Love you too."

But Athena begged to the heavens that her dream won't ever come true.

"So if you guys are the VIP of the that bad word then I'm allowed to say shit?"

Well... Shit.
