-Nick Pov-
I woke up with a start, almost hitting Ellie and abbey and I sat straight up.
"Wake up, wake up, wake uppppp, you have school you need to get ready" Ellie said I sighed irritably
"Ok fine, get out so we can get dressed" I said suppressing my anger enough to where the girls didn't notice it they ran out closing the door and we got out of the beds I made a low growl like noise as I looked for my smoothers
"It's been 14 hours where the hell are my smoothers" I said shuffling through my unpacked ruck, nothing, I looked through the bedside table, nothing, it was no where to be found. I look over at the rest of my team to see them visibly distressed to see me in this state, they're lucky the longest they've seen me off my smoothers and uninjured was 5 hours past the alarm. I growled again
"Will you guys help me find my smoothers, can't you see I'm getting kinda unstable and I don't wanna go to school where I don't know or trust anyone, I may end up KILLING someone, so please help me out" I said with bitterness in my voice instantly they started looking
"I'm not seeing it" Jenna said with her voice slightly shaking
"Neither am I" Kyle said, I signed and walked out of the room walking downstairs
"Hey Lexi have you seen my medication?" I asked
"No but I found a crap ton of injections, why would you have them, we don't allow drugs to be used in our house, you're lucky we even let you come here in the first place" she said and kept rambling as I started to tap my foot angrily
"Listen ma'am, with all do respect, that is my medication-"
"No you listen to me I am NOT giving you the drugs, what are you going to do, get high off of this or what ever is popular with kids your age?!" She said I growled angrily and slammed my fist of the counter
"Ma'am I have an issue that is highly classified but I NEED that medication, it keeps me grounded so I don't go ballistic, right now I'm somewhat level headed so I can talk to you this way, otherwise there might have been a knife to your throat, and Lexi, we are extremely thankful that you took us in, but I'm still in the military mindset, and I have a certain thing that I need my smoothers for, now if you could just give me one, there would be no problem" I said and heard two people behind me. I spin around reaching to where my magnum would be, but it wasn't there so I stood in a fighting stance before I realized who it was then I calmed down seeing Jenna and Kyle hands raised they backed down showing no harm, I sighed
"I'm not that low yet guys, just....paranoid that's all, but I need my smoothers before I actually hurt someone" I said quietly then I felt someone grab me from behind in a hug I tense and start to thrash some and hear a little girl scream, I freeze
"Abbey?" I asked and turned around seeing the little girl on the floor crying then I look at Lexi who had fear in her eyes
"Ok but I have to give them to you" she said
"I can administer it myself" I said
"No I have to physically hand you one and I have to watch you take it" she said and I nodded holding out a hand she placed a small cylindrical syringe with a tiny needle attached to it in my hand, I nodded and put the needle in my thigh and waited for the liquid to empty out completely before I yanked it from my thigh and rubbed at the small pinhole feeling instant relief from the anger I felt a second ago
"Ok what do you want me to do with the empty ones" I asked and she grabbed a Tupperware from a cabinet,
"Safest place i can think of is here, we can properly dispose of them" she said and i nodded
"Kyle can you go get my other one from the bedside table, in the empty box" I said and he nodded running up there coming back with the box
"Thanks Kyle" I said and turned to Lexi putting the two empty syringes in the bowl
"Lexi I need one every 12 hours, I can tell you more after school" I said and walked upstairs to get ready
I grabbed my ruck emptied it out and packed the school supplies I was given and per usual legend team followed suit, eventually we walked downstairs and said our fairwells as we walked out to our bus stop.
When we got there two girl were standing there, we were huge compared to them
"Are we really that tall?" Kyle whispered in my ear and I nodded
"Yes we had that one augmentation" I whispered back as the bus pulled up and the girls got into a line so we followed
We got on only to be stopped by the bus driver
"You the new students on here?" He asked and we nodded ok
"What's your name" he asked
"Nick"
"Ok last name?" I paused for a brief second
"Lennox, Nick Lennox" I said
"Ok you're sitting in seat 15" I nodded and followed the numbers above the seats, I found it and sat down
"Your name?" The bus driver asked
"Jenna Lennox" She said
"You're in seat 12" she did the same
"Your name?" He asked Kyle
"Names Kyle Lennox"
" your in seat 22" the bus driver said and Kyle went to his seat
'Great we're split up' I thought as I looked out of the window we stopped again and someone sat next to me
'And a seat partner? Uhhh this is going to be a long school year' I thought as I absentmindedly stared out of the window.
Eventually we made it to school we all filed off the bus, Jenna waited for me and Kyle to go to the office and pick up our schedule. I asked one of the administrators standing around where the office was,
"up the stairs in the court yard take a right and another right down the math hallway, finally you will see the front door you hang a left" the man said and we walked there
"We're new to this school and we need our schedules" I said to the lady at the front desk
"Alright!" She said cheerfully "what are your last names
"Lennox" I said and she nodded Looking at the computer
"Jenna, Kyle, and Nick?" She said and I nodded
"Here you go, I hope you have a lovely first day of school" she said and handed us our schedule and we walked out into the crowded to have people stare at us.
I gave Jenna and Nick theirs and we looked over schedules,
"No classes together?! Man, this is really going to be a long year" I said
"We're lucky we already know the material. Thanks to Chief Mendez and Lieutenant Ambrose" Jenna said and smiled
"it should be easy" Kyle said and I sighed
"We need to join some sort of sport or activity, they need to be different, and since I'm already in JROTC I call that one" I said
"Damn I was gonna choose that, but I can do track" Kyle said
"I can do weightlifting" Jenna said
"Ok we can talk to the coaches about it" I said and the bell rang
'First class, Algebra 1' I thought, looked at my schedule and looked for the classroom I have to be in
