A few months later.
"Love, wake up" Jisoo softly said to the person laying on the bed
But actually, she was starting to lose her patience, seeing the person on the bed groaned but did nothing. Jisoo lost it, she picked up a pillow and hit the person's body,
"Kim Jennie! Wake up now!" Jisoo shouted
Again, Jennie groaned and shouted:
"I don't wanna!"
Continuously hitting Jennie with the pillow, Jisoo shouted:
"You! Promised! We! Are! Going! To! The! Zoo! Today!"
"That was before you decided we need to do some exercise on the bed last night!" Jennie shouted
Jisoo's face immediately went red, last night's steamy memories came back, she couldn't help it but shouted:
"Shut up!"
Jennie slowly opened her eyes and teasingly looked at Jisoo, seeing the ultra shy Jisoo, Jennie smiled and said:
"Come here"
Jisoo sighed and threw the pillow at Jennie but then she joined her at the bed. Jennie hugged Jisoo from behind and buried her head in Jisoo's back. Jennie them mumbled:
"Hmm I love you"
Jisoo played with Jennie's hair then asked:
"Why are you so easily tired, you know you're younger than me right?"
"Well love, you should have seen yourself on bed" Jennie teasingly said
Jisoo buried her head into her hands and said:
"That's enough, you may shut up now"
Jennie chuckled and said:
"And she's shy now"
Jennie turned Jisoo over and said:
"Good morning love"
Jisoo smiled and looked back at Jennie,
"Good morning" she greeted
Jennie inched forward and placed a light kiss on Jisoo's forehead, then she said:
"Alright, let's go get ready, the animals are all waiting"
"Yay!" Jisoo cheered, which got Jennie smiling even more
After showering and having a simple breakfast, Jennie and Jisoo went to the San Diego Zoo which is one of the best zoos around. They bought their tickets and entered the zoo.
Jisoo started to wander around, she was excited to meet all the animals. Jennie was not even a bit interested in the animals but she wanted to make Jisoo happy, and there she did. Jennie brought a camera and helped Jisoo took pictures with animals and candids of Jisoo. Both of them were pretty much enjoying themselves.
After walking through the zoo, they bought the safari tickets and went on a trip. They boarded the truck and it took off shortly. Jisoo was excited to see all the animals in such a close distance but Jennie wasn't. It wasn't obvious but she was terrified. Seeing all the animals walked right passed her eyes, there were moments that Jennie almost screamed out.
"Look it's a tiger!" Jisoo pointed out
"Hmm? Good, good" Jennie stammered
"Look! Look! It's a hippo! I like hippos! They're so large!" Jisoo exclaimed
"Yeah, good, good" Jennie replied
Her eyes weren't actually opened.
"Look! It's a cheetah! Oh my! Wait, is that a cheetah or a leopard?" Jisoo asked
"It's a cheetah miss" the tour guide replied
Jisoo nodded her head and replied:
"I see"
Just then, Jisoo finally realised how quiet Jennie had been, she turned to see the lady beside her and finally realised she had her eyes closed all the time. Jisoo bursted out laughing and asked:
"Love? Are you scared?"
"Uh no, why did you ask?" Jennie said, still with her eyes close
Jisoo smiled and said:
"Because you're closing your eyes"
Jennie's eyes immediately opened, she then stammered:
"I-I wasn't-"
But Jisoo grabbed her hands and teasingly said:
"It's okay to be afraid, not every one is as brave as me"
Jennie lowered her head and grumbled:
"I'm not afraid"
"Really Jennie? Really?" Jisoo asked
"Shut up" Jennie complained
Jisoo chuckled but pulled Jennie closer, she then pointed to the field and said:
"Look, it's a zebra, you like zebras, remember Marty? From Madagascar, you liked him!"
"Well he looks way better on television" Jennie complained
Jisoo chuckled and said:
"You're unbelievable"
Jisoo kept on enjoying herself, being amazed over animals, she greeted everyone of them, but her hands never let Jennie's hands go, she just held them tight. Jennie grabbed Jisoo's hands back too. Her mind flashed back to when they just decided to move to California.
"Why California? It's too far" Lisa said
"You don't have to go so far, its not necessary" Irene said
"I have to go somewhere where my father has no power there" Jennie lowered her head and said
The three of them fell into silence, their head turned to the living room, where Jisoo, Rosé and Seulgi was happily talking. Looking at Jisoo's happy face, Jennie smiled and said:
"Besides, Jisoo wanted to live somewhere near the beach and the zoo, so I guess California's the best choice"
"Who even wants to live near the zoo?" Irene unbelievably asked
Jennie chuckled and said:
"She wants to, I know it's weird but yeah, you know her"
"And you're following what she wants?" Lisa asked
Jennie nodded her head and replied:
"Pretty much"
Lisa shook her head and said:
"You're weird too"
Jennie shrugged and said:
"Probably but who cares"
"Both of you are unbelievable" Irene commented
And now, looking at Jisoo's face, Jennie knew she did the right choice. They've moved here for like two months now and it's already the third time they visited to zoo, Jennie doubt the animals already know who Jisoo is, since she dashed up to all animals every time they came.
The safari tour ended pretty soon and both of them were already a little tired, they spent almost the whole day at the zoo. After walking all the way back to the entrance, because Jisoo decided that she wanted to say goodbye to every animals, they went to a nearby restaurant for an early dinner.
After the dinner, both of them went to the beach for a walk, the sun was already setting and they got the chance to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Holding hands, walking near the waves, Jennie was looking at Jisoo who was fighting the waves to leave footprints on the sand. Smiling, Jennie asked:
"Do you want me to give you a piggyback ride?"
"Yes!" Jisoo immediately answered
Jennie squatted down a little and Jisoo climbed up her back, her hands circled Jennie's neck and Jisoo happily shouted:
"Let's go!"
Jisoo rested her head at Jennie's shoulders, Jennie slowly walked across the beach. They were just enjoying the wind, the peaceful moment and everything.
After a while, Jisoo softly mumbled:
"Love"
"Hmm" Jennie hummed in response
"Thank you" Jisoo said
"For what?" Jennie asked
"For everything" Jisoo said
Jisoo didn't show but there's a part in her heart that she always felt that she was the reason Jennie had to gave up everything, the fame and fortune, it wasn't easy for someone who grew up in that, but Jennie still gave all of those up, for her, it was like a felony to Jisoo. She felt very guilty before, but Jennie proved to her with her everyday actions that she was fine, that she was happier this way, and Jisoo was very grateful for that.
Jennie smiled and said:
"No, I'm the one who have to say thank you"
"For what?" Jisoo asked
"For existing" Jennie said
Jisoo chuckled and said:
"Jennie Kim and her words, always sweet as sugar"
"Sweet as you" Jennie said
Jisoo hugged Jennie tighter and said:
"Hmm I love you so much"
"Me too" Jennie replied
They walked for some distance until Jisoo said:
"Let's rest here"
"Okay" Jennie replied
Jisoo got off from Jennie's back and the both of them sat on the sand. Leaning against each other, they were enjoying the view in front, the sea and the night sky.
After a long silence, Jisoo sighed and said:
"If only this could last forever"
"Why not?" Jennie asked
"Hmm?" Jisoo asked
"Love, I promise you, for as long as you like, we could always be like this, we could go to the zoo every week and then the beach, we could spent our day doing nothing, just walking around, exploring the city, if this is the life you're looking for, we could make it all come true" Jennie said
Jisoo didn't reply, but she turned to Jennie and looking into Jennie's eyes, she leaned forwards and kissed Jennie's lips. Jennie's eyes widen at first but she immediately closed her eyes and kissed Jisoo back, just when they were about to deepen the kiss, they heard a huge bang. Apparently, someone lit the fireworks from the other side. Both of them stop the kiss and turned to the show and watch it in awed. Jisoo couldn't help but mumbled:
"This is beautiful"
Looking at Jisoo's face, it was showered by the light of the fireworks, Jennie smiled and said:
"This is perfect"
She took Jisoo's hands and said:
"Love"
"Hmm?" Jisoo hummed in response
"Let's get married, officially, right here at this beach, with Lisa, Rosé, Irene and other friends watching, let's vow our love to eternity, shall we?" Jennie said
Turning her head back at Jennie, Jisoo teasingly smiled and asked:
"What if I say no?"
Jennie pouted and groaned:
"Why?"
Jisoo shrugged and said:
"I don't know"
Jennie frowned and buried her head inside Jisoo's embrace,
"Remember the first time I asked you out, you said no too, I had to bribe you with fixing your broken locker only would you accept my invitation" Jennie complained
Jisoo chuckled and said:
"I remember, well you know, you can bribe me again now"
Jennie pouted even more and suggested:
"How bout a kiss?"
She leaned towards Jisoo and pecked Jisoo's lips. A smile crept up Jisoo's face but she shook her head. Jennie leaned nearer and gave Jisoo a peck again, the smile on Jisoo's face got even bigger but she still shook her head.
Jennie repeated her actions a few more times until Jisoo couldn't take it anymore. The mischievous in her eyes had already turned into lust. She inched forward to Jennie's face and planted a kiss on Jennie's lips. It wasn't just a peck, it was a serious kiss which turned out into a make out session.
Finally after a long time, they separated from each others's lips. Jennie laid on Jisoo's lap and Jisoo was softly playing with Jennie's hair. Looking at Jennie's face, Jisoo smiled and softly said:
"Kim Jennie, lets get married, shall we?"
Jennie looked back at Jisoo and replied:
"Okay"
She wanted to act cool and said no, just like Jisoo, but she couldnt even hide her answer for one second.
After a pause, Jennie called out:
"Love"
"Hmm?" Jisoo hummed back
"You're going to be the death of me" Jennie sincerely said
"That's a good thing, right?" Jisoo asked
Looking at Jisoo's face, Jennie smiled and replied:
"That's the sweetest thing that will ever happen in my life"
Jisoo chuckled and suggested:
"Like a sweetest felony?"
Jennie thought for a while then nodded her head, with a smile on her face, Jennie looked at Jisoo then said:
"Yeah"
"Like a sweetest felony."
