RK looked at Madhu in concern who had her hands wrapped around his arm and her head rested on his shoulders, as she had promised him, she didn't cry when she said her bye to her parents. Her mother was not able to control her tears while her father tried to put up a brave front which was truly a futile effort but Madhu had remained strong as she hugged her parents. RK kept his hand on her hand in a reassuring way she immediately looked up at him and smiles. "I am fine." she whispers so Dipali and Sultan who were sitting in the front don't hear them. RK takes her hand to his lips and kisses it. "Are you tensed?" Madhu asked RK. "Very." RK replies. "Everything is going to be fine." Madhu says with a smile. RK nods. Thinking about Baba's reaction he was freaking out, he felt like getting out of the car and running off somewhere, but he wouldn't do that because escapism was not one of his attribute. RK wondered how he was going to tell Baba about his marriage, he knew Baba would be hurt and angry, to say the least. Suddenly he turned to Madhu and in an urgent tone he said "Madhu, I want you to promise me something." Madhu looks at him confused and asks "What?" "I don't know how Baba is going to react to our marriage. But he will be really angry and he would shout at me and he might even slap me. I don't want you butting in between and blasting Baba." Madhu starts frowning "I won't like it if he hurts you." "I know, kitten. But promise me you will not do anything." RK said again. "But you said that Baba has never hurt you both." "Yeah! He has never hurt us, but then I have never got married without his permission before." RK replies. "Okay. I promise." Madhu says making an irritated face. "Thank you." RK says as he kisses her on her cheek.
As they reached the chawl they all got out. RK takes a deep nervous breath as he looked around the familiar surrounding. "Relax RK, everything is going to be fine." Madhu says in a confidently reassuring tone. "How do you know?" he asks getting a little irritated seeing her relaxed expression. "Because you are here." Madhu said as she walked towards the car boot where Sultan was taking out their luggage. RK knew she trusted him blindly but every time it humbles him to no extend whenever she shows her trust and faith in him, and her, this one statement gave him the courage which he himself couldn't gather this whole week. RK noticing Madhu picking up the bags rushes to her immediately and takes the bag from her also the other one too while Sultan picked up the last one. They started walking towards his house and RK was forced to walk slowly as Madhu was walking very slowly as she was really conscious about her saree, having worn it the very first time in her life. She had worn the saree he had gifted her for Karvachaut and he wore the jeans and shirt she had gifted him. Madhu looked so beautiful in the saree that he had forgotten everything for a while as he watched her walk awkwardly lifting the saree a little. Madhu had made him stand nearby and learn how to drape a saree while her mother was helping her wear it, so in the future if she had to wear saree again he could help her then.
RK couldn't help notice people gawking at Madhu and him. Many had come out of their house as they gave them curious look and kept whispering to themselves. Maybe they might be shocked and confused about Madhu, RK thought as he led Madhu, Sultan and Dipali to his house. As he neared his house, he noticed Sikky standing in front of his house and Sikky looked tensed. Madhu was looking around at the people who were staring at her as if she was some alien, she just ignores them as she kept looking at the surrounding and that's when she notices the wooden swing right outside their house. She starts smiling seeing it. As she turned to look at their house she sees Sikky standing right in front of the house. "SIKKY!" she exclaims excitedly as she lifted her saree a little and ran towards him while everyone gaped at her and RK, Sultan and Dipali looked on in shock. As Madhu reached Sikky's side, RK noticed Baba and Trishna coming out of his house in a hurry, and now they stood a little behind Madhu as Baba looked at her, then Sikky and finally looking for him and finding him, resting his angry gaze on RK.
"Sikky, were you waiting to welcome us home?" Madhu asked with an excited smile. Sikky who noticed Baba didn't know what to tell her "Umm Umm" "Did baba and Trishna reach?" Madhu asked in a little lesser voice though very much audible to RK who was standing a little further away from her. Hearing her mention him, Baba turned to look at his daughter-in-law. "Umm" "Ohmigod! Don't tell me even you are tensed like RK. Why do you have to worry? RK, is there right? He will manage everything. And RK has said Baba is a sweetheart." Madhu tried to comfort him confidently. When Sikky kept staring at her, Madhu gives him a curious look "What happened, Sikky? Why is everyone staring at me? Is something wrong with the saree?" she asked as she bend her head and looked at herself, then looking up "This is the first time I am wearing saree right, so it kinda feels awkward. RK had gifted me this saree and he wanted me to wear it today as it is the first time I am going to meet Baba and Trishna. I am looking fine, right?" she asks him. Sikky keeps gaping at her and when he notices her looking at him expectantly, he remembers that she had asked him a question and nods his head. Madhu smiles and confides "RK is really worried about Baba and Trishna meeting me, so I don't want to disappoint them. RK will feel bad if Baba and Trishna doesn't like me and I get upset if RK feels bad." Sikky noticing Baba's amused smile starts relaxing a little ask "You won't feel bad if Baba and Trishna doesn't like you? Only RK will feel bad... huh?" "RK told me that they will love me, and he never lies to me. And I don't have to be worried if they don't like me." Madhu replies. "Why?" Sikky asks frowning. "Because RK will make them like me." Sikky couldn't help chuckling hearing that for Madhu, RK was a hero. Seeing him chuckling, she thought that Sikky didn't believe RK could do that, so Madhu says "My RK can do anything." "Yes." Sikky agrees with a chuckle as he looked at RK standing behind Madhu and looking as if he has lost his tongue listening to Madhu's excited chattering while Baba who had heard what Madhu was saying had raised his eye brow as if asking 'Really?' when Madhu said RK could do anything, the glint in Baba's eyes said without any doubt that he liked his bahu who seemed to be madly in love with her 'super hero' of an husband. Madhu smiles glad that Sikky agreed with her and also because he seems to be relaxing "I am so glad that you are no longer tensed. I tried a lot, but RK is really tensed up about it and you know what?" Madhu asks in an amazed tone, "What?" Sikky asks smiling widely "I am not tensed at all." "I can see that." Sikky agrees "And why should you be tensed when RK is there?" "Yeah." Madhu smiles proudly "But actually you know what? I am so excited." "Excited?" Sikky asks seeing Baba's and Trishna's curious look. "Yeah. Finally I am going to meet Baba and Trishna. RK talks so much about them it's like I know them so well." Suddenly, remembering her husband Madhu turns to look at RK and notices an old man and Trishna standing next to him. "Baba! Trishna!" Madhu smiled excitedly and then turning to RK who was at her side in the blink of an eye. "They were here all this while and you didn't tell me!" Madhu says disappointed. RK squeezes her hand slightly silently asking her to shut up, and then he leaves her hand as he looks at Baba and says in a whisper "Baba, this is my wife, Madhu." Madhu bends down and touches his feet for blessing, Baba says in a low tone "Jeethe raho." Madhu straightens up and then turns to Trishna and moves towards her. "Hey Trishna!" and she hugs her while Trishna looked shocked then she hugs Madhu back having no other option.
"Baba..." RK calls his father to attain his attention and tell him about Madhu and his marriage though he had no idea what he was going to tell his father, but the tension and wait was killing him and he wanted to get it done with as soon as possible. Baba turns to look at RK, "Baba, I..." RK starts and stops immediately when Baba raises his hand indicating him to stop talking. Baba turns to Trishna and nods his head at her. Trishna immediately goes inside the house while everyone watched on curiously. RK holds Madhu's hand and pulls her closer to him. "Baba, I know you are angry with me for eloping like this, and I know what I did was wrong, and I am really sorry for that, I really regret marrying like this, but that time there was nothing else I could do." RK explains earnestly. Madhu hearing what RK had said felt bad, that he regretted marrying like this. She thought he was happy with her, and now?
RK started getting even more worried when Baba remained silent, "Please say something, Baba." RK pleads and that's when Trishna came out carrying many things and bending down twice on her way to keep the things down and RK's eyes popped out when he realized that she was coming with arti. Trishna comes towards them and does their arti while RK kept giving worried glances at Baba who didn't seem to object to anything but just kept staring at the flames. Finishing off the arti Trishna invites Madhu in with a smile by gesturing with her head, Madhu smiles at her a little weakly and walked in. RK looks at Baba and when Baba didn't say anything to that also, he relaxes and turns to Sultan and Dipali and invites them in who were now happily smiling glad that Madhu was accepted into the Kundra family. RK walks in behind Madhu with Sultan, Dipali and Sikky tagging behind him and they all stop when Madhu stops to kick the pot filled with rice before she stepped into their house and later stepping on the tray filled with vermilion powder mixed with milk and leaving behind her red foot prints behind she let Trishna lead her inside.
RK went to his room to keep his luggage all the while trying to figure out Baba and Trishna's reaction. The out burst, anger even the slaps he had expected didn't happen, he wondered what the reason to it was. Suddenly, he heard someone enter the room and turned to see that it is Madhu. One look at her and his heart dropped to the pit of his stomach. She looked upset. He knew that once she sees his house and room, she would be upset and disappointed but then seeing her so sad, upset and heartbroken was killing him. He didn't know what to tell her, he just kept looking at her. Madhu slowly walked in and stood right in front of RK as she stared into his eyes. When neither spoke for a while, being the most impatient one, Madhu broke her silence "I thought you were happy with me." RK looks at her confused and then shocked "What makes you think I am not happy with you?" "You only told Baba that you regret marrying." Madhu said on the verge of tears. "I said I regret marrying like this." RK says exasperated though in a very low voice like Madhu. "Isn't it the same?" "No. I regret marrying you like this Madhu, but I don't regret marrying you and I will never regret marrying you." RK said sincerely. Madhu keeps looking at him confused trying to understand what he had said. Seeing Madhu's confused expression RK says "I regret that we got married without our family's consent and blessing. I regret the way we got married because the moment you became mine is a vague image for me and I don't remember our marriage clearly. I wish that we had married with our family and also while we were in our senses." RK explained. Madhu looks at him for a while then gives an embarrassed smile "Sorry, RK. I don't know what all I was thinking." "Don't ever think that I regret having you in my life. Whenever I am with you, I feel so good about myself, I feel special and" RK shyly smiles "when you look at me, I feel beautiful." Madhu starts giggling "I always tell you that you are beautiful." "I know." RK says with a cheeky smile. Madhu hugs him and kisses him on his cheeks.
Baba kept ignoring RK whenever RK tried to talk to him, while he was cordial with Madhu who having cleared the misunderstanding was back to her jovial mood chatting up with everyone. Madhu's mood had not only avoided the awkwardness of the whole situation but also helped Dipali in getting over the awkwardness she was feeling with Trishna and Sikky, having met them both as RK's girlfriend before and now as his sister-in-law. Watching Madhu feeling so at home with the Kundras Dipali couldn't help smile happily. Madhu was not scared to make friends and she is very friendly with everyone she meets and Dipali guessed that RK might have talked about his family so much that Madhu seemed to know everything about them and was like someone who has been mingling with Baba and Trishna for a long time. A while later, Sultan and Dipali decided to leave RK, Madhu, Trishna and Sikky walks with them to their car. Once they were away from Baba, RK turned to Sikky and asked "Did you tell about my marriage to Baba?" "No." Sikky says. "Then why was he not shocked?" RK asks confused. "Becaue he knew." Trishna informs him while Sultan, Dipali, Madhu stops seeing the discussion and soon they had formed a small circle as they discussed. "How did he know?" RK asks shocked. "In fact everyone here knows." Sikky informed him. "What? How did everyone find out?" RK asks shocked out of his wits. "Usually when you advertise something in the papers, people tend to find out about it." Sikky says. "Paper?" Madhu asks confused. "You didn't know? Your photos from that party are there in today's Page 3." Sikky informs shocked that they didn't know about it. "Our photos? And Baba saw?" RK asks shocked. "Everyone saw." Trishna says. And no wonder everyone was looking at them strangely when they came. "Except for us." Madhu says. Trishna laughs "We were busy in the morning having to come here and all." Madhu explains. "And why didn't Baba call me or anything?" RK asks shocked that Baba knew before they reached itself that he was married. "He was about to call you when Sikky bhaiyya came with your bike." Trishna informs him. "Baba started asking about it, and I told him everything." Sikky said. "Everything as in? What did you tell him?" RK asks wondering what Sikky had told Baba and Trishna. "How after your break up" Sikky says waving his hand in the direction of Dipali and RK who became a little uncomfortable having their past relation brought up, "Madhu and you met and fell in love. And fearing that both your families won't agree for the marriage, you both eloped." RK nods his head; Madhu and he had decided to tell everyone this story if anyone asked about their sudden marriage and had decided that no third person will find out how they had got married no matter what. RK turns to Trishna "What did baba say?" "He was really upset and angry that you eloped and didn't even tell us about what you wanted and if he knew then he wouldn't have stood in the way of your happiness." RK looks away in guilt for having hurt Baba like that Madhu slowly holds his hand to console him knowing that he was upset about hurting Baba. "Baba seems to like Madhu a lot." Sikky says with a smile and hearing that RK starts smiling, even he had noticed how Baba had sweetly smiled at Madhu whenever she talked to him. "That's great. Very soon he will get over his anger towards RK also." Dipali says with a smile. "Yeah bhaiyya, bhabhi is right. Baba can never be angry with us for much long." Trishna says with a smile trying to comfort RK while Madhu went pale, Dipali looks away uncomfortable. "Madhu is your bhabhi, Trishna." RK gently reminded her. Trishna immediately looks contrite realizing her folly. "Oh God! I am so sorry, bhabhi." Trishna immediately apologizes to Madhu "I am sorry. I just was not thinking straight." Madhu smiles "It's okay. You have been used to calling di 'bhabhi' I can understand." "Just be careful in the future." RK gently instructed Trishna, she immediately nods. "I am sorry, bhabhi." Trishna says again. "It's really okay, Trishna." Madhu reassures her with a hug.
"We are getting late." Sultan informed them as he looked at his watch. Dipali nods and turns to Madhu and hugs her tightly. After a while she breaks out of the hug with her eyes filled with tears while Madhu gives a sad smile "Take care. And you should call me everyday." Dipali instructed. Madhu nods then turns to Sultan who hugs her and bids her bye while Dipali hugged RK and later Trishna and saying their byes to Sikky they leave.
Sometime later, as Madhu and Trishna talked in the living cum dining room, RK tried talking to Baba again who had remained silent while RK kept apologizing to him. In the end, RK decided to talk to Baba the next day giving him time to adjust to the news, he was about to go out to meet Sikky or his other friends when some of their neighbors came to meet his bride. RK and Madhu put up with all their questioning and teasing with a smile on their face while Trishna took care of their refreshments and Baba had talked to the guests making it clear to everyone that he has accepted Madhu as his bahu.
After they had a quiet dinner, Sikky had come with their friends to meet RK and Madhu. After introducing Madhu to them, RK had went out with his friends promising Madhu that he would be back in ten minutes. Madhu decided to get changed for bed before RK comes back and goes towards their room. After sometime she comes out looking utterly confused and sees Trishna with Baba. "Trishna, where is the bathroom? I can't seem to find it." "Actually babhi, there is no bathroom in your room." Trishna informs her. "Oh! Then where is the bathroom?" Madhu asks confused. "That is the bathroom." Trishna says pointing to a closed door. "Okay. Thank you." Madhu smiles and starts to walks towards the bathroom. "Or bhabhi if you want you can use my bathroom in my room." Trishna offers. "Whichever is fine with me." Madhu says. Trishna shows her to the bathroom and comes back to give Baba his medicines while Baba stood there with a frown on his face.
By the time Madhu came out of the bathroom, RK was back and waiting for her in their room. RK was very anxious and nervous as he waited for Madhu to say something about his house or their room. But she didn't talk anything regarding that but was consoling him about Baba forgiving him soon, and RK started confiding in her about how Baba's silent treatment was hurting him and he desperately wanted Baba to forgive him. Madhu had reassured him that Baba will forgive him soon and she will also help him in convincing Baba. With Madhu's assurance RK had felt relieved though he didn't know why, and soon he went off into a deep sleep while Madhu tried to get some sleep by ignoring the hot air in the room which was making her sweat profusely. "RK." Madhu shook him. "hmmm" "Where is the fan's switch?" Madhu asked. "Fans on, Madhu." RK informed. "Then why is it so hot?" Madhu asked helplessly. RK came awake "Is it too hot, kitten?" he asked with a lot of concern. Seeing the concern and worry in his face, she regretted waking him up and telling him that. "Not much." Madhu said. "But it is hot." RK says disappointed and then quickly goes out of the room and comes back with a magazine and starts fanning her against Madhu's protest of doing it by herself. RK was feeling miserable, his fears were coming true. Madhu was having problems staying in his house while Madhu's last thought before sleep overtook her was that as long as RK was with her, she didn't have to worry about anything.
