I'm so happy today. Today is definitely gonna be a good day. I mean, imma get my sexy ass cook back. Yesterday, seeing stupid ass Sean give Luna his number ignited something in me. No way were they gonna start keeping in touch. I found myself swallowing my pride, therefore I followed Luna home. Trailing behind her taxi. Trying as much as possible to go unnoticed.
Seeing her yesterday, she was teasing a nigga in those clothes. Damn, she was looking like a treat. She had a cute, small, girly apartment too. This was the first time I had been to her place.
But I'm glad she dropped her attitude and agreed to comeback. But then she's asking for a come back present. Honestly I don't know what to get her. Women like too much stuff this days. A nigga just can't keep up.
Finishing my morning workout, I eat some breakfast I ordered. I still want Luna's cooking. That girl is just so blessed.
As I ate in silence, I reminisce on how I was able to retrieve Sean's number from Luna's purse. I couldn't help but laugh to myself. This nigga thinks he's slick, he don't know the half of it. I got it from her purse and ensued I threw it in my trashcan once I got home. She wouldn't be having anything to do with Sean and vise versa.
I'm about to head into the shower, but before that, I decide to call Tania.
"What? "
"The disrespect you been giving me girl, don't think I won't whoop your ass "
"Whatever. What is is Jamari? " I pause before I respond.
"Uhm, I kinda went over to Luna's yesterday. After seeing her new lame ass job. I might have apologized. But the thing is, she wants a come back gift before she can resume working as my cook" Tania gasped and I knew she was smiling.
"Yes! Oh finally, you got some sense! "
I rolled my eyes at her annoying excitement.
"Lil girl you were the one who was telling on me. But grandma kinda spoke to me. You still have a big mouth tho"
Tania smacked her mouth before scoffing at my statement.
"Whatever boy. I'm glad you did that tho. Did you guys get touchy? "
Why is this girl do excited about my sex life, especially with Luna.
"It ain't none of your business. Focus on your dumb ass boyfriend "
"My man isn't dumb. My brother is" she can't be serious right now.
"Whatever. I need you to come help me get Luna a come back present. You know her better than I do."
"I like the sound of that. Well anything to bring you and Luna together again brother " Tania sang the last words.
"I'd come pick you up by 1pm. Be ready"
"Bring some fries on your way. MacDonald please. " with that said, she hung up. This girl always wants something from me. But what can I do? I'm stuck being her big brother for life.
I has finally arrived at Rameek and Tania's crib. I walked in and met Rameek on his couch having breakfast.
"Sup man. "
"Hey bruh what's good" he got up as we dapped each other.
"Heard you won your woman back"
"I ain't got no woman. O got my personal cook back" he nodded and I felt the sarcasm in his nod.
"Where are my fries? " Tania said as she came down the stairs. She walked towards me and pecked my cheek.
"Its in my car. Come on let's go" I held Tania's upper arm and led her towards the door.
"You better not be touching up on Luna when she cones back! " Rameek yelled to me.
"That's what he needs to be doing babe. Shut up and stay safe. I'd see you soon. " Tania said as she walked back towards Rameek to kiss him.
I watched Rameek drape his arms around Tania's waist as he whispered something in her ears making her giggle like some teenager in love. I admired their love chemistry tho. It was hella funny, confusing, but hella genuine.
Now they were tongue kissing.
"Hell nah, you ain't about to do that while I'm here. Tania get your love struck as here. We got thing to do" I scoffed at them before heading for the door.
"Hater! " I heard Rameek say.
I got into my car and Tania came out soon enough.
"Let's go. Thanks for em fries brother " she said as she stepped into my car, grabbing hold of her fries.
I backed out of Rameek's crib and we were now headed to some designer stores.
"So what's Luna's favorite designer? "
I took a quick glance at Tania, focusing back on the road.
"Luna likes to look cute. She's not really into that, but she definitely loves her some fendi" Tania replied still munching on her fries.
I nodded at her response. Honestly, my mind doesn't sit to well with getting Luna random designer stuff. I was racking my brain.
"Or you could get her some cute Victoria secret underwear" Tania said before bursting into laughter.
"You crazy. I don't want her slapping the hell outta be and then say I'm being disrespectful. I'm not her man, I can't be getting her those"
"Yet" Tania said smiling widely at me.
"Huh? " what did this girl mean by yet now. I'm not ready for her games.
"You're not her man YET. But when you are you'd be doing that"
I simply ignored Tania's remark and kept my attention back on the road, keeping my thoughts to myself.
We arrived at some designer stores and we kept on going through their collection to find something i think Luna would appreciate me for.
"Better make up you damn mind Jamari. I'm getting tired. You don't like anything for her? " I sighed in frustration as I wiped my face with my palms.
"Its honestly not that. I just wanna get her something my guts would agree with. You know, I want her to know I'm thoughtful." I looked at Tania and now she had this devilish smirk on her face.
I arched my brows and starred at her.
"You tryna impress her I see. " I turned away and headed towards some other clothing rack.
"I ain't tryna do shit. I just need Miss Luna cooking my food." I hear Tania smack her lips before coming closer to me.
"Whatever you say bro"
"Jamari? Tania? "
Tania and I turned around to see who called us and this beautiful day, Janice's brat ass came to dim my light. I chose to turn around and give her no attention.
But definitely Tania wasn't gonna ignore Janice.
"What is it? " I heard Tania ask as I kept going through the clothing rack in front of me.
"Nothing really. Came to do a lil shopping you know. Gotta maintain my status in the society " Tania burst out in her contagious laughter. It took everything in me not to laugh. Janice is one crazy bitch.
"Is something funny? " Janice asked. Attitude filled her voice.
"You are the joke girl. Excuse us. We are planning an engagement party" I turned around to look at Janice's facial expression. Tania can get on my nerves, but I loved it when she handled things like this.
Janice was in shock. I was loving this. She's such a pretender.
"Oh really. Jamari wants to tie the knot huh? " Janice asked in a rather venomous tone. I had to step in now.
"Yeah. Have to trap my baby girl for life. Second to the best decision I've ever made." Janice scrunched her face at me before rolling her eyes.
"The first being? "
"Leaving your ass" Tania gave a dramatic spin as she laughed hard. All just to piss Janice off.
"Janice you should run back to daddy. Say hi to him for me" Tania said as we left the store, leaving a traumatized looking Janice.
"I love your crazy ass" I hugged on Tania as we headed to the car.
"You know I'd hold you down Jah"
I was tired of going from store to store. It was now 6:48pm. Nothing yet has been found to my liking.
"Ughh, when are we gonna find something your guts agree with? " I knew Tania had started getting irritated. I was also tired. We drove through New Yorks streets taking in the view. I was lost in thought until I heard Tania scream my name causing me to become conscious of my surroundings.
"Jah! There's a dog! Don't hit it! " thank God I was able to avoid the dog, it made me come to an impromptu halt tho, causing the car to jerk forward.
"Goodness you would have killed the poor thing! " Tania scolded before coming out of the car. I sighed as I followed suit.
"Aww look at him Jah." I watched Tania carry the brown fluffy dog as she walked towards a little group of people who had so e other dogs with them.
"They're for adoption Jah."
"This one just seems to be really ambitious " the lady in the group said, earning a chuckle from me. I starred hard at the dog as Tania conversed with the people. That's it!
"This is it Tania" I said causing her to look at me.
"What? "
"This is the come back present for Luna. My guts tell me it is" Tania's eyes beamed in excitement. She cheered.
"That's super amazing Jah! She's gonna love it"
"She will" I said as I smiled, thinking of what Luna's reaction would be.
"I wanna have it"
"Of course sir. Its $300"
I handed them $1000 instead. I was really happy.
"Alright Jah. Take me back to my boyfriend. I miss him" Tania said pouting once we got settled in the car.

I had gone to quit my job at the coffee shop earlier today. So now, I'm at home. Jobless. Jamari was supposed to come in today. I haven't seen a sign of him yet!
This nigga ain't shit for real. I wanna call Sean up and take up his offer. But I can't find the paper he gave me. I'm sure I pit it in my purse before leaving the coffee shop. This is just so ridiculous. I've searched my entire apartment for it.
I need to make my money and save up for my dads hospital bills. Not to talk about my own bills. This is just too much right now.
In the process of searching, I hear my doorbell ring. I lazily walk towards the door before swinging it open.
Now there stood Jamari's tall annoying ass with a big box in his hands. I straight faced him as he stale faced me.
"Well hello to you Luna" he said before rudely entering my apartment.
"Oh now you wanna show up. I haven't gained shit today. All because of you " I said in annoyance. I don't have the strength to keep up with Jamari's annoying nature some days.
"I was tryna vet you a cone back gift" Jamari said as he put the box on the floor in my living room.
"That better be something nice"
"You better love it" he spat back as he carefully took off the top.
"You did not" I said as I starred at the adorable pair of eyes that met mine.
"You got me a freaking dog" I said in a whisper.
"Yes I did" Jamari said. For some reason he sounded kinda nervous.
"I love it! " I screamed as I got to my knees and got the dog outta the box.
We connected immediately.
"Aww look at you cutie. I'm gonna call you Bentley. Cos I love that car" I interacted with it as I played with it in my arms.
"That's a lame ass name" I heard Jamari scoff. I glared at him which caused him to surrender with his arms up.
"You are so thoughtful Jamari. I love him. He's adorable "
"So you goanna come cook for me? " I giggled at the way he went straight to the point.
"Of course. But only if Bentley comes with me" I asked beaming at him hopefully waiting for a positive response.
"Whatever you want Luna"
"Yayy! " I was really excited. Bentley was cute af.
After clearing and arranging my stuff, I joined Jamari on my couch. I heard his snores. This nigga is asleep, is he for real. I push his head. Big ass head.
He didn't respond. He mugged as he slept.
"This nigga is mean to his sleep" I giggled to myself.
"Jamari. Wake up. Go home. Its past your bedtime." I said loudly, causing his eyes to open. He looked at me and he looked pissed.
"My head hurts" he said in a raspy voice. Now I feel like a jerk for waking him up.
"I'm so sorry. Do you need anything? "
I asked as I sat beside him, placing my hand on his forehead to check if his temperature was okay. It was.
"Nah don't worry. I'd just try and drive back home" he said lowly as he sluggishly got up.
Now I'm battling with my thoughts. I don't wanna be a bad person, but I don't wanna make a fool of myself to Jamari again.
"No. Just stay here. We could leave for your place tomorrow morning. Together " I said giving him a small smile. He turned his face and I could swear I saw this nigga cheesing hard as hell.
'You better not be pretending to have a headache Jamari" I said folding my hands.
"I'm being honest. I'm kinda cold too" he said as he walked towards me.
"Fine. This way" I said, leading him into my room.
He took off his shirt and jeans in front of me, leaving him in his briefs. How could he do that. Now I was blushing like a fool. His print looked so damn big. Goodness I shouldn't be thinking this way.
I watched him get comfy under my covers. Shaking my head, I enter into my bathroom for my night routine. After cleansing my face and putting on my night cream and Pajamas, Bentley and I were ready for bed.
I got on my bed, laying beside Jamari with Bentley in the middle separating us.
I said my prayers and shut my eyes.
"The fuck! "
"What!? " I asked scared as shit to why Jamari yelled jumping off the bed.
"Nah hell no Luna. Benjamin shouldn't be in bed with us. This nigga is licking my ear" I couldn't help but laugh at Jamari. Is he kidding me. He looked so cute as he wiped his ear.
"It ain't that serious Jamari. And stop being rude. His name is Bentley. "
"Whatever. Keep him off the bed" I looked at Jamari like he was crazy.
"Hell no. If you don't wanna lay with Bentley on the bed, you can use the couch" I heard Jamari sigh.
"I'm sick Luna, just be nice please " omg I fell for the sad and stressed look he had on his face right now.
"Alright fine. Bentley would lay on my side." Jamari smirked as I transferred Bentley to my side. Making me to be in the middle.
"Perfect " Jamari said as he got back into bed. It was awkward as we laid facing each other, so I turned to face Bentley.
"Better not try rubbing all that ass on me this night. Imma put in some work" my cheeks were burning red.
"Jamari! Shut up." I was so embarrassed. This nigga has no filter.
He didn't respond, instead I began hearing light snores. He was asleep. I closed my eyes waiting for sleep to take over me as I felt Jamari's arm wrap me and bring me closer to him.
I opened my eyes alarmed. My heart was beating fast. I was kinda tense. But then it felt so damn good.
I finally got comfortable and closed my eyes.
Jamari did make me happy today. I love Bentley. So sweet and thoughtful of him.
I can't wait to get back to working for him. I missed it.
