~Jason's POV~

As Josh, Auggie and I entered the Matthews household Auggie announced, "Family Game Night." He then gestured Josh. "Now with extra family."

"And with my honorary nephew." Josh smiled as he patted my shoulder before closing the door then putting Auggie down.

Upon hearing Josh's name Maya turned around with a smile saying to him, "Well, hello."

"Well, hello." Auggie mimicked her making me chuckle at Maya's annoyed face.

"This is why your my favorite Matthews, Auggie." I side hugged Auggie which got me a hug from him but since we are different height he was hugging my leg.

"Hey, I thought I was you favorite Matthews!" Matthews frowned.

I shook my head before pointing to Auggie who was still hugging my leg, "Nope it's always been Auggie."

Josh chuckled at his brother's pout expression before standing next to Auggie and I, "Auggie didn't want to miss game night and the three of us never made it out the city. Oh, here's your money."

Josh handed his brother a dollar and Matthews looked at it in confusion before saying, "I gave you a hundred."

"With that kind of money you think we're not gonna buy steaks?" Josh asked him.

"Yeah Matthews, we're growing men we need food." I stated before the three of us happily patted our bellies.

"Thank you, Papa." Auggie smiled.

"You know what? My brother!" Matthews opened his arms.

"My brother!" Josh exclaimed before hugging each other.

"Listen, you're here for game night. You're family." Matthews told Josh before turning to me smiling. "And so are you you're in."

He then looked around confused before asking, "We're missing someone. Where's little Vee?"

"Oh, since Shawn is still here for a bit, him and Wolfy went to a taco place she likes to have some father-daughter time." I explained.

The intercome then buzzed and two familiar voices came in.

"Lucas."

"Farkle." Farkle's voice came out flat.

"And also her absence explains Farkle's saddness." I shrugged before going to get a water bottle from the kitchen.

Riley got up from her spot and goes to the intercome saying, "Come on up."

"Topanga it's happening I thought we had a few more years." Matthews whispered-yelled to his wife.

"I'm guessing she didn't tell him." I told Maya as I sat next to her.

"What gave it away." Maya sarcastically answered.

"Calm down." Topanga ordered her husband.

"No calm down." Matthews refused. "It's happening right now. Riley invited her friends to family game night." He then turned to his daughter saying, "Riley, shnookums, um, you're gonna have to prioritize what's more important to you. Your friends or your family? There's only one right answer."

"Why do I-"

"Wrong answer."

"Have to choose between-"

"Wrong answer."

"I love my friends and I want to hang out with my friends." Riley told Matthews with determination.

When the door was knocked Riley went to answer as Maya and I were enjoying the show in front of us. As she opens the door Farkle and Lucas appear.

"Welcome to family game night, friends." Riley welcomed as she invited them in.

"Wrong, wrong, answer." Matthews shook his head.

°°°°°°

"Get rid of them." Matthews told Riley as Maya, Lucas, Farkle, Auggie and I were watching them talk from the counter.

"Why do you have to be you all the time?" Riley questioned her father.

"You think it's easy?" Cory asked before he turned to his wife. "Say goodbye to your daughter, honey. She chose her friends over her family."

"Why can't we just play with her friends?" Topanga asked her husband.

"Because Topanga, she allowed Mr. Howdy and Dr. Turtleneck into our household, our family was compromised by interlopers." Matthews answered.

I was texting Wolfy all of this so when she sent me a new text I read it out loud, "Wolfy said 'Stop being such a big baby and let them play or else'."

"Just let them play." Josh sighed. "You heard VeeVee."

"Maybe we could just come back another time." Lucas shrugged after a little while.

"Oh, yeah, we don't have walls." Matthews just realized we heard everything. "I told you we needed walls, Topanga."

Josh then stood up walked over to Lucas and Farkle shaking Farkle's hand first, "Dr. Turtleneck I presume."

"How can you tell?" Farkle asked confused.

"Oh, because-" Josh cut himself off before smiling, "You just seem like a doctor to me."

"Thank you." Farkle smiled at the compliment.

"Thank you." Josh smiled before turning to Lucas. "And you must be-"

"Howdy." Lucas smiled shaking his hand.

"What are their actual names?" Josh asked me.

"Farkle." I pointed to him then pointed to Lucas. "Lucas."

"Oh, VeeVee has told me about them." Josh nodded before stealing some snacks from the counter.

Matthews grabbed the board game before saying, "See this? The family game. A game for families. Not the friends game, a game for friends. I saw that game. I didn't buy that game. I bought this one." Matthews pointed to the board game. "Because I used to have a family."

"Will you stop?" Topanga asked her lunatic husband.

Matthews then went to stand on the couch saying, " How could she choose her friends over us? I mean did they burp her? Did they change her?"

"We haven't yet, but we'll when she get that old." Farkle added in making Riley look at him weirdly.

"Speak for yourself, honey." Topanga told him as she sat next to her daughter. "I know that I have the absolute love and loyalty of my children who like me fine and always will."

"Everybody's here. Everybody plays." Riley tells her dad.

"Do you really wanna drive your little sweet Riley cake away?" I asked him as Maya and I pinch Riley's cheeks as Matthews looks at us three.

Riley then successfully swatted our hands away before going over to her father saying, "It's like what you were teaching us today."

"I was teaching about the American Revolution, Riley. How is this anything like the American Revolution? How?" Matthews asked his daughter.

"Let's think." Riley said before her and her dad put their fingers on their chins looking out in a distance.

~Vanessa's POV~

"Remind me again why we're the announcers?" Jay questioned leaning over to me.

"Because we didn't want to dress up as them." I responded with a shrug.

"Why?"

"I don't know, Jay. You're the one that talked me out of dressing as them." I reminded him.

"Oh yeah." He nodded. "It's because we are serious actors and we need to keep our gigs seriously."

I looked at him before saying, "Okay, one says the boy who wore a dinosaur blow up outfit to recreate a meme and two what gigs? We have none."

"Cause we need a manager." Jay defended.

"You get us one then I'll agree with you." I compromise with him.

"Bet." He tells me pointing.

"Alright let's start guys." Cory tells us and we nodded.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Jay smiled as he started.

"We give you 'The Revolutionary War'." I smiled as we gestured the classroom door.

Farkle then walked in the room dressed as King George III smirking at everyone, "Subjects." He then turned to me. "My Queen." I smiled at him before he looked back at the rest spreading his arms out, "It's I, King George III, ruler of the British Empire. Now where is that rebellious John Adams? Who dares chooses his American friends over his king?"

Riley runs in the classroom, wearing a John Adams costume, hearing her que and pushes Farkle out of the way making him land in my arms as she says, "Here I am! John Quincy Adams."

As I help Farkle stand up Jay and I corrected her, "John Adams."

"Who's that?" Riley asked her father as she sat next to him on his desk.

"John Adams was the father of John Quincy Adams." Cory explained to his daughter.

"But our school is John Quincy Adams."

"His school was John Adams." I informed her.

"His school was the father of my school?"

"Does that make sense to you?" Cory asked her.

"None of this does."

"I'm also gonna be your teacher next year."

"You're kidding me."

"Now back to our story." Cory smiled pushing his daughter to the middle of the class.

"It is I, John-not Quincy- Adams." Riley smiled as she started before frowing going back to us three. "Wait, why'd they name the school after this guy? I mean he must've done something."

"He did." Jay told her.

"He did something we're gonna get to it." I tell her.

Cory stood up asking, "So, John Adams, where are your rebel friends?"

"With me as always." Riley smiled as Lucas came in the classroom wearing a George Washington costume. "Hark! Here's one now." Lucas saluted to the classroom but it was kind of hilarious so Jay chuckled trying to hide it by hiding his face on my shoulder. Riley then moved to Lucas flirting, "Looking good George Washington."

"John, you're embarrassing me." Lucas flirted back.

Jay tried so hard to contain his laughter in that he pushed his face more in my shoulder.

"Not like you haven't dreamed of that, bubs." I muttered lowly with a smirk but not low enough because I heard Jay laugh a bit knowing I was right.

"Good!" Riley exclaimed. "Now may I introduce he is crazy smart, he's rocking granny glasses, the old kite flyer himself, Benjamin Franklin!" Riley exclaimed as she pointed to the door.

"I'm not doing this." Maya stated outside the classroom.

"Come on. They can't start the revolution without you." Jay and I told her.

"Fine, but no one look at me." Maya whined.

"Okay! Nobody look at Maya!" Riley announced.

As Maya comes in she was wearing a Benjamin Franklin costume but when she did come in a couple of students were laughing and some were snickering. Jay repeated his previous and quickly put his head on my shoulder trying to hide his laughter.

When Farkle was going to say something to Maya she quickly pointed to me saying, "To Vee not me."

Farkle happily walked over to me and a laughing Jay before saying, "Well my queen, can you feel the electricity between us?"

Maya looked at Farkle with a annoyed look knowing how old the pick up line is so she pointed at Farkle asking Cory, "When do we get rid of this guy?"

"Right now!" Riley exclaimed. "King George, the American colonies want their freedom."

"You belong to me and I will never let you go."

°°°°°°
~Jason's POV~

"You belong to me until you're 18 it's the law." Matthews tells his daughter.

"Whatever you say, King George." Riley rolled her eyes at her father making Maya, Josh and I stifle our laughter.

"Stop calling me that!" Matthews frowed.

"What's the matter?" I started off while Maya stood up.

"Pops doesn't like pop's lesson?" Maya finished off standing next to Riley who was standing on the couch like her dad.

"Yeah."

The girls got off the couch as Riley took the board game from her dad and joined us around the table.

"Listen guys, not everything I teach in class applies to our lives." Matthews said as he got off the couch.

I called Vanessa at that moment since she wasn't answering my text, "Hold that for a moment."

When she answered I repeated what Matthews said to her and we waited a second before we heard her say, "Yes it is, Uncle Cor. Everyone knows it." I was about to hang up when we heard, " 'DAD, JUST DROP THE MEAT!' 'IT'S MY MEAT!' 'IT'S STILL FOLLOWING YOU AND IT BROUGHT SOME FRIENDS!' 'AHHH-'"

The line went dead and we all looked at each other before I put the phone away.

After a little while of silence Lucas spoke up, "It does, every time, sir."

Josh shook his head before gesturing the game saying, "Okay, game's all set. We doing this thing or what?"

"No." Matthews pouted.

"Yes." Riley nodded.

"Do you guys even know how to play the family game?" Matthews asked.

"Let me show you." Maya pushed Matthews to sit down back on the couch. "Because I'm always here and you can't get rid of me." She first points at Topanga. "Always wins." She then pointed at Riley. "Always eats too much popcorn and says 'I'm never eating popcorn again.'"

"But it's so delicious." Riley munched on the popcorn with a frown.

"Would you be on my team, Uncle Josh?" Auggie asked Josh sweetly as he grabbed his wrist.

"Try and stop me." Josh smiled at his nephew.

"Okay, I'll try. You're on my team." Maya pulled Josh to her.

"He's my uncle." Auggie argued pulling him back.

"He's my husband." Maya pulled him back.

Auggie let go putting his hands up saying, "Congratulations."

The two then walked over to a free spot on the floor as Farkle grabbed the instructions of the game reading it out loud, "The goal is to get in to one of the four success squares with your teammate."

"And then you win. It makes this sound." Auggie pressed on the button on the game board which made a noise.

"I win!" Topanga exclaimed before she noticed the game hasn't even started yet.

"Oh, it hasn't happened yet."

"What's the big circle in the middle for?" Lucas asked as he pointed to the circle.

"Oh, we don't go there. If even one person goes in there, then you have to play the long game." Riley explained to us.

At this point Farkle looked interested in that challenge, which is better than him sulking that Wolfy wasn't here, and asked, "What's the long game?"

"I don't know." Riley shrugged. "We've never played it."

"Intriguing. Should we find out?" Farkle asked.

"No, it takes forever." Topanga shook her head.

"And you don't get to hear this." Matthews pressed the button.

"I win!" Topanga exclaimed again. "Oh, something's wrong with me." The door bell then rang. "I win! Oh, my goodness."

"Now who could that be?" Matthews asked as his son went to open the which showed Ava.

"Hi, Auggie." Ava waved to the mini Matthews but then saw the game board. "Hey, you playing a game? Can I be on your team?"

The two kids linked arms as Auggie closed the door turning to his uncle saying, "You're on your own. My woman is here."

"Sure, Auggie, bring your woman in. Let's bring in everybody." Matthews says as he starts to freak out standing on the couch once more. "Why don't we put up signs on the telephone poles next to the cats and the dogs. 'Matthews Family game night.' Only not really it's kind of everybody family game night. Isn't it? Huh?! Isn't it?!"

Maya threw her arms in the air as we both smiled at him saying, "There's the freak out. Best show in town." We high fived before looking at Matthews asking, "Do you feel better now, buddy?"

"I do, thank you." Matthews smiled.

"No, thank you." We smiled.

°°°°°°
"Well, well. Looks like everybody's partnered up except for little ol' us." Maya said as she was between the Matthews brother as she saw I was already with the chips and I was very happy.

'Okay Wolfy's right I am like Joey Tribbiani.' I thought as I munched on the chips.

"I could pick you." Maya smiled to Josh before she frowed to Cory. "Or I could pick you." She then smiled at Josh making him shift a bit further away from her. "Or I could pick you." She then frowned at Matthews once more. "Or I could pick you. Yeah, well you see, you represent homework and no fun." She then smiled at Josh. "While you are so handsome it kind of makes my eyes hurt."

"Okay, here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna be the game host is what I'm gonna do. Cause the stand." Josh stood up as Maya mimicked. "And they move." Josh moved away from her and she tried to follow but Cory stopped her.

"Hiya partner." Cory smiled at Maya.

"Oh, boy." Maya frowned.

"Dude be the co-host." Josh told me as he got to my seat.

"Why?" I asked him still eating the chips.

"I'll drive you and VeeVee to auditions whenever I'm in town." He bribed.

I got up from my seat quickly and in a host voice I said, "Let the game begin!"

"To easy." Josh mumbled behind me.

"Want the co-host or not dude." I raised my eyebrow exiting the voice.

"And game show hosts and co-host make sure everyone follows the rules and plays fair." Josh told everyone.

I walked over to Ava and Auggie seeing Ava stealing some of the game money. "Especially this one." I take the money away from her hands and put it back.

"Ava!" Auggie scolded.

"Shh." Ava smirked. "I'm doing this for us, baby."

Josh grabbed the game box before reading the instructions with an announcer voice, "Okay, the object of the game is to create a family, protect it and get safely through a world of obstacles that will test how strong your family is."

"The winner of the short game is the first team to end up in one of the four success squares with a car and a house." I finished off in the same voice as Josh.

"Get me a car and a house." Ava orders Auggie.

"I'm trying." Auggie told her.

"Okay. Um, Maya and I are up first." Matthews said as he held the dice.

"Oh, says who?" Riley asked her dad.

"Says the king of the castle." Matthews tells her as they go back to stand up on the couch between Lucas making me take a picture and laugh.

"Just because you're the king, doesn't mean you get to make all the rules." Riley told her dad.

"Oh, yeah? That's actually the first rule in the king's handbook."

"Well, it's been a lovely evening." Lucas says as he gets up from the floor and crawled off the couch. "And now I need a hug from my mama."

"Mama?" Maya questioned Lucas as we looked at him.

"Yeah." Lucas nodded before looking at Josh asking him, "What do you call your mama?"

"Ma! Try it out." Josh told Lucas.

"Ma!" Lucas mimicked. "Nah she'd put me in the shed."

"You know what, dad? You may be the king, but I am going first." Riley took the dice from her dad before rolling them making Matthews gasp.

°°°°°°
~Vanessa's POV~

Farkle gasped, "You are staging an act of open rebellion against you king."

"You have left the colonies no choice but to break away from you and become independent." Riley tells him.

"Because you're fighting for the sake of your families." Cory said.

"And friends." Riley added in.

"And family is the most important thing in the world." Cory explained.

"And friends."

"Riley, you don't think family should come first?" Cory asked his daughter.

"I can't do this right now, dad. I'm in the middle of a rebellion."

"Oh, yeah." Cory sat on his desk next to Jay and I.

"Oh, yeah." Farkle told Riley. "Let's see how your little rebellion fares against the might of the British Empire." Farkle opens the door revealing a cannon.

"Wait this is why we went cannon shopping?" I asked him.

"Yes, Queen."

"Wait, were did you guys even get a cannon?" Cory asked.

"His/My cannon guy." Farkle and I responded.

Bubs the raised his hand which Cory saw, "Yes, General Washington?"

"You really have to wonder if the king wasn't so stubborn, could something have been worked out so America would be in the British Family?" Bubs asked.

"A nation or a family, can only remain united if it's leaders fairly and address the needs of all its memebers both old and young." Cory told him.

"Well, I'm not gonna. So let's get this party started. Is this thing loaded?" Farkle asked as he crawls inside the cannon.

"Farkle I woul-" I started saying before Jay clamed his hand over my mouth.

"Let's just see where this goes, Wolfy." Jay told me not removing his hand from my mouth.

Behind the cannon Maya showed up with a sparkler in her hand. "It is now." Maya answered Farkle's question. "Happy Fourth of July, everybody."

"Maya, the war hasn't even started yet."

"You're gonna love Boston."

"When am I going to Boston?" Farkle asked from inside the cannon.

"In five-four-three..."

°°°°°°

~Jason's POV~

"Four, five, six and as usual I will choose the fatherhood path." Matthews moves his piece as he lands on a pink square. "And the pink square means..." He picks up a pink slip smiling proudly. "I get a daughter."

"Actually sir, Farkle and I already own that square." Lucas tells him.

"So?"

"So..you're daughter's ours." Lucas explains to him as Riley has a huge smile on her face.

"Excuse me."

"Let him talk." Riley smiled.

"According to the game, we get your daughter." Lucas says as Riley jumped from her seat ready to go over to him but her mom held her back.

"Josh! Jay!"

"She's not Riley Matthews anymore!" I exclaimed with a smile.

Josh stood behind the boys putting and arm over the two saying, "She's now Mrs. Dr. Howdy Turtleneck!"

Matthews glared before handing over the slip and Lucas took the slip but Matthews wasn't letting go.

"Uh, sir, you're holding on a little tight." Lucas said trying to take the slip.

"You really need to let go, sir." Farkle told him.

"You killed my daughter!" Matthews exclaimed when the card ripped in half.

"My turn. I pick six." Ava said as she picked up her piece.

"Uh, Ava, you need to roll the dice." Topanga told the little girl.

"One, two, three, four, five, six." Ava smirked as Topanga looked annoyed.

"Josh, Jason, objection."

Josh looked at me before I nodded and he looked back at Topanga saying, "We're going to allow it."

"Why?" Topanga asked.

"Because she cracks us up." We chuckle as we high five.

"I get a... 'Make Your Own Luck' card. Take over someone's family business. Choose one player to send back to the start'." Ava reads before she starts to think. "I choose... One Topanga, Two Topanga, Three Topanga, Four Topanga, Five Topanga, Six Topanga, Seven Topanga, or..." She then points to Topanga. "Topanga!" Ava grabs Topanga's piece and moves it back to the start. "Wee! Poom!"

"This stinks!" Topanga exclaimed.

"This had to be done, Mommy." Auggie told his mom.

"It's okay, my love bug." Topanga smiled to her son. "Luckily, my team always wins and my teammate has a turn, and I'm sure she's going to use it to help me." Riley took her turn and grabbed a card. "Right, Riley? Sweetheart?"

"Mom, I really hate to do this. But I have a 'Go to Europe With a Friend' card and you're all the way back there. And I've never been to Europe." Riley smiled innocently as if what she did didn't feel like a stab to the heart to her mom.

"I want to go to Europe." Ava told Auggie well more like demanded.

Auggie slammed his fist on the table saying, "Get off my back!"

"Wait, you're leaving me?"

"Mom, it's not personal, I just got this card and-"

"Wait, you're leaving me?" Topanga asked once more still shocked.

"Here it comes." Cory smiled.

"I am your mother. I have your absolute love and loyalty. What do you think you're talking to him?" Topanga pointed to her husband.

"Hey, Farkle, how do you do that again?" Matthews asked.

"Ha!" Farkle does his laugh.

"Ha!" Matthews mimicks him horribly at his wife.

"Now you run, sir." Farkle told him.

"No" Matthews started off saying before going to sit at the end of the couch with his wife. "actually now I go right over here which is exactly where I belong."

"Well this game just got real." Josh announced as I nod in agreement as we held up an invisible microphone.

"Will the daughter go off on her own-" I started off with the announcer voice.

"Or does the mother hold on to her forever?" Josh ended with the same voice.

"I'm sorry mommy." Riley smiled at her mom before she goes to sit next to Maya. "Partners?"

"Forever." Maya smiled as they linked arms.

"Riley?" Topanga frowned.

"Mom, I'm just playing a game." Riley told her as the boys, Maya and me looked at each other knowing it's not to Topanga. "Isn't that what you want me to do? Win?"

"Not without me." Topanga responded sadly.

"Hey, Topanga. You and me." Matthews rubbed his wife's shoulder to comfort her.

Topanga sadly looked at her daughter before putting on a smile turning to her husband saying, "You and me. Let's win this thing."

"You and me. Let's win this thing." Maya told Riley.

"You and me." Farkle told Lucas.

"I just wanna go home." Lucas sighed making Josh and I chuckle.

"You and me, honary nephew?" Josh asked me.

"You and me, honary uncle." I told him as we did a bro hug.

"You and me. It's way past our bedtime." Auggie told Ava before they both yelled out in excitement.

After the five minute break everyone came back to continue the game.

"Break's over. Game on."

°°°°°°
~Vanessa's POV~

"Game over. God bless America." Riley waved the American flag as she had a foot on Farkle's back as he was laying on the ground.

"How could you do this? My kingdom. I have nothing left." Farkle told her very dramatically.

"Well you still have India, Ireland, Australia, Shakespeare, Dickens and the Beatles." I told Farkle as I helped him up.

"Oh, yeah." He smiled at me before smirking to Riley. "Who needs you anyways?"

"You know you do." Riley put an arm around Farkle.

"The Revolutionary War ended in 1783-" Jay started.

"-leaving a rift between England and the United States." I finished off.

"But we love each other now, though, right?" Bubs asked.

"We do but it took some time." Cory told him. "In fact, it wasn't until 1813, when another American helped mend that relationship. His, name Riley was John Quincy Adams."

"Oh, that's what the kid did." Riley smiled.

"That's right." Cory said. "See,it took the next generation to bring everyone together."

"So people that go to war can actually become friends?"

"Revolution is a short moment in time. But if you play the long game correctly, everybody can end up just where they're supposed to be." Cory explained.

°°°°°°

~Jason's POV~

"Somebody has to get a 12. Anything but a 12. Nobody throw a 12." Matthews whined.

"12!"

"Oh, thank goodness. It's over." Lucas sighed.

"No, it's not." Riley shook her head. "I'm not going for the success square. I'm going for the circle in the middle. We are going to play the long game."

"What?" Lucas whined making Josh and I laugh.

"You could win." Topanga informs her daughter.

"Dude, why would you do that?" Josh and I asked her as he put the whisk in front of her.

"Because tonight the family game is not about winning." Riley said. "Tonight, let's find out what happens when you play the long game."

"I'm never gonna see my mama again." Lucas cried.

"I wanted someone to land on the success square. I kind of wanted to hear..." Matthews pressed the button.

"I win!" Topanga excalimed before looking at her husband. "Seriously, help me."

"In the long game, the players all play together to conquer the game itself." Josh explained.

"So we're all on one big team then?" Matthews asked everyone.

"If you'll let us be and dad I promise that nobody is going anywhere." Riley stood on the couch.

Matthews followed her movements before saying, "Well, Riley, you know what? If these are the people you have chosen to leave us for someday, they're welcome to play with us anytime. You've made some wonderful choices."

"You going to buy the friends game?" Riley asked.

"Yeah." Matthews nodded.

"Can we play that one with you guys?" Topanga asked us kids.

"Anytime you want." Maya smiled.

"You're a good king."

"You're a good John Quincy Adams."

"Oh, the kid that brought everyone together." Riley smiled.

"Yeah."

"Told you."

"Who's joining?" Maya asked as she moved a piece.

"We are." Topanga smiled.

Just as we were about to start the game the door slammed opened revealing Wolfy and Shawn in teared clothing.

"What happend?" Matthews asked confused as we were all confused as well.

"Dad wouldn't let go of the taco so the goat chased him to Manhattan and I had to run to get them." Wolfy explained as they sat down.

"It was my taco not his!" Shawn defended.

"Who pets a goat with food in the other hand?!" Vanessa exclaimed.

"Cory!" Shawn exclaimed as he answered.

"Uncle Cor has a small brain!" Vanessa exclaimed as she threw her arms up.

"Hey!" Matthews exclaimed clearly offended.

"She's not wrong." Josh shrugged while Matthews looked even more offended.

"Well can we find out what happened later?" Topanga asked. "We're playing."

"You guys wanna join?" Riley asked.

"Sure." They shrugged but Wolfy started walking to the rooms.

"Riles I'm going to borrow some pjs." Vanessa informed her.

"Okay, god-sissy!" Riley called out.

Shawn then started walking to Matthew's room calling out, "I'm borrowing some of your clothes Cory!"

"Alright, Shawn!"

°°°°°°

It was early in the morning as mostly everyone was half asleep with Wolfy's head on Farkle's lap using it as a pillow and her foot on Shawn's lap.

Josh and I were walking around and he leaned over to Riley and Maya. "Well, the birds are chirping."

"Sounds of a sleepy city coming to life as the sun peeks it's smiling face." I continue as Maya smiles at Josh.

"Yeah, okay." Josh moved to stand next to me. "Upon 10 tired game players and if Auggie Matthews can roll a 2, then we'll finally find out what happens when you win the long game."

"Nobody can roll a 2." Topanga whined tiredly.

"We pick 2." Ava said.

"You know what, Ava, I finally liked you." Topanga told her.

"Okay." Ava shrugged as she moved their piece and pressed the button.

"That's it?" Riley asked as everyone looks at the board game tiredly.

"Wait, hold up." Vanessa says as the game starts to whirl and play music. Then it suddenly lights up and twirls around as we looked at it with astonishing stares.

"And as everyone is joining together, we see that in the long game, friends become family."

"It's not a game at all." Riley realized.

"What is it, mommy?" Auggie asked.

"It's life."

"Life is the long game?"

"Yeah, bubba. Life is the long game." Matthews smiled.

"Maya." Josh called her as he sat next to her on the couch. "You do understand I'm too old for you?"

"I do, Josh. I know that." Maya nods.

"Good." Josh nodded.

"But I'm in it for the long game." Maya smiled making Josh sigh.

"I'm half awake right now, Josh but even I can tell that Maya will be right." Vanessa tells him as she stands up and Maya looks at her in appreciation for believing in her while Josh looks at her in confusion.

"Why?" He asked her but I'm sure there was a double meaning there.

"Because age doesn't matter so much if you know your love is strong enough to conquer. Though it'd be a bit better when you both are in your twenties. Both will be smarter on relationships." Vanessa smiles as Farkle looks as her with full admiration but she didn't notice as she was full blown oblivious about everything. "Also I'm obsess with romance and what room do I have to say any of this I've never been in a relationship." She shrugged with a chuckle as she went into the kitchen making everyone chuckle at her last comment.
