"Stop, please you're hurting me" a familiar and scared voice whimpered and I furrowed my brows as I rounded the corner to see Caleb, one of the little brats that think they're all that because their parents are the warriors, pinning Luca to the wall a hand griping his arm hard that I knew there would be a bruise
"Shut up you little bitch. You don't belong in this pack. The alphas were stupid to take you and your bastard in. You should be dead and not ruining the pack's reputation. You're a filthy and di-"
"I dare you to finish that sentence Caleb" I said cutting the asshole off making him look towards me with wide eyes letting Luca go who nearly fell to the ground but he held himself up, "Go see if Dimitri needs help with Princeton, I'll take it from here" he looked between Caleb and I before practically dashing out of the hallway and towards the backdoor and into the yard where Dimitri was with Princeton and I looked at the little bastard who was cowering across from me where a moment ago he was holding my son.
"You listen here you little bastard" I sneered keeping my distance from him because moon goddess above knows that I'll bash his little face in, "you better keep your distance from Luca and his children or I swear to the gods I will not hesitate to beat the shit out of you do I make myself clear?" He nodded and I gave him one last look before walking away purposely slamming my shoulder against his causing him to hit his hip on the counter. I walked outside and made my way towards Dimitri and Luca before sitting beside them making them look up,
"What took you so long to come out here?" Dimi asked and I smiled
"I was having a little talk with a certain person" I said and he nodded knowing who I was speaking about, "So what are we going to be doing today?"
"We're going to the mall to get last minute things for the baby since she'll be here any day now" he said and I hummed resting my head on his shoulder, he kissed my temple as his hand rested on my bump. Luca was due any time now while I'm still three months away from having my scheduled c-section.
"Sounds like a plan," I mumbled watching Luca with his son. They were so alike yet so different at the same time. They have the same dark blue eyes and black hair, button nose and thin lips but that's where their similarities end. While Luca was lay back and quiet his son was outgoing and loud. Luca was shy and barely had any friends in the pack, the only friends he has made so far from being here have been Dimi's brothers while Princeton has already made a bunch of friends with the other pack pups.
"You ready to go, Luca?" Dimitri called out to the teen as he gently pushed me off his shoulder making the 14 year old nod his head as he led Princeton back over to where we sat making the little boy whine
"You can play with them when we get back from the store" Luca promised and the toddler reluctantly let his father pull him away from his little friends
I looked over at Dimi to see that his eyes had zoned out indicating he was letting his Beta, Jeremy, know we were heading out who nodded his head form across the yard where he was talking with a group of teens.
"Ready?" He asked once he was focused on us an we nodded and so with that, we all made our way to the driveway where his car was parked and unlocked the doors with Luca helping Princeton up —Dimi has a car seat installed after Luca and Prince were brought in—and strapped him into his car seat while I climbed the passenger's seat with Dimitri getting in the drivers seat turning the car on.
"Music" Princeton called from the backseat as soon as the car began moving making us chuckle. Everywhere we went, music had to be playing or else he'll get cranky and start crying. We leaned that the hard way two days after he and Luca came to the pack house with Dimitri and we had gone out to get some clothes for them and he had asked for music but Dimi didn't turn the radio on since we weren't going very far major down the road to a nearby retail store and Princeton wailed the entire time and didn't want to be held by no one and every time Dimi got near him, Prince would kick him and scream bloody murder until Luca finally got him to settle down.
"He likes music to be playing whenever he gets in a car or else he'll get this way, sorry I forgot to mention it to you earlier" Luca had apologized but we had shaken our heads saying that it wasn't his fault and Dimi apologized saying that he should've turned the radio on when Princeton asked for music instead for ignoring him. On the way back home, the first thing Dimitri did after turning the car was to turn the radio on making the little boy beam and say a quiet sorry for kicking him at the mall. It was to cute not too awe when Princeton gave Dimi a kiss and a hug when he helped him into his car seat since Luca had fallen asleep as soon as his behind hit the seat—which wasn't his fault seeing as he was heavily pregnant and he got tired easily—then Dimi climbed the driver's seat before we made our way back to the pack with a bunch of new clothes for both Luca and Princeton.
"Alright, you ready?" I asked once we reached the mall Hal's an hour later with Dimitri parking the car as close to the door for Lucas' sake, "Then what are we waiting for? lets get going"
We walked into the bustling mall and Princeton held his little arms up towards Dimitri demanding to be carried and who was my mate to deny those puppy eyes? He was a goner for Princeton's eyes when he looked up at him with wide baby blue eyes and a pouty lip.
"He's going to be an incredible father when the triplets arrive" Morgan had said one day when we were in the yard and Dimitri was playing with the pack pups including Princeton and Aiden who had taken the smaller boy under this wing and was his very first friend when he and Luca came to the pack house.
"He's good with them" Xander, Dimi's dad,said coming up to stand beside me as we watched the scene before us as my mate played chase with a group of little kids as their parents watched in amusement.
"He really is. He's already working on the nursery" I said as I rubbed my bump making the other men look at me with smiles
"Is that why he asked about your crib when he stopped by the house a few days ago?" Morgan asked
"As well as Rain and his cribs?" Xander added and I chuckled
"Wait he asked you for my crib?" I asked looking at Morgan who nodded with a chuckle
"Yeah he asked if we had anything of yours that was still useable so I gave him your crib, changing table, dresser and I think a box of baby clothes that your parents had gotten for you before and after you were born" he replied and I nodded a small knot forming in my throat at the mention of my parents
"We gave him some toys as well" Xander said and I nodded thanking them for the gifts but Morgan had said that it was only natural that my things were passed down to my kids much like Xander had said in regards of Dimi's and his late daughter's belongings.
A hand waving in front of me made me blink and I looked up to see Dimitri raising a brow in question
"Yeah?" I asked making both he and Luca look at me as if I had grown two heads
"Are you okay? I've been calling your name for the past ten minutes but you were in outer space" Dimitri said and I nodded my head giving them an apologetic smile
"Yeah, sorry I was just thinking, what were you saying?" I said and he liked as if he wanted to push but thought better of it and instead pointed to the store we were standing in front of which was Carter's
"I was saying we should check here first for some baby stuff before we moved on to another store" Dimi said and I nodded and that's how we spent the next server so hours doing, going from store to store getting everything that we could think of for Luca's baby as well as stoping by the food court to get something to eat before finally deciding that we've gotten enough stuff and headed back to the house.
"I'll bring up the heavier things up with Ranger, Sage, Jeremy and Axel but I'll help you carry some bags upstairs as well as Princeton" Dimitri said once we got back got back to the house and we nodded taking a few bags from the trunk while Dimi carried Princeton before we made our way to the elevator that will take us to our apartment.
"Did we get everything you needed?" I asked Luca who hadn't said anything the entire ride back and was now looking at the floor with furrowed brows, "Luca?"
"Huh?" He asked blinking up to look at us, "did you say something?"
"Are you alright? You've been quiet the entire drive back," I said and he bit his lip before sighing shaking his head which had both Dimi and I worried —I looked up and saw him with furrowed brows as he held a now sleeping toddler in his arms—and asked, "what's wrong?"
"I saw the man that got me pregnant at the mall. I didn't want to make a scene since the mall was packed and I didn't want anyone getting hurt" he murmured
"Why didn't you say anything when we were in the car?" Dimitri asked as the doors binged open indicating we had arrived at our floor
"Because I didn't want you to get into a fight with him, I didn't want you to get hurt if that happened" Luca replied making us stop in our tracks in front of our door with me having unlocked the doors after putting in our code
"Was he with anyone else?" I questioned as we walked in and he shook his head
"Not in the building but I knew he had someone in the pack staking the outside" he said
"This isn't the first time that you've seen him has it, Luca?" Dimitri asked after putting Princeton in his crib as well as us placing the shopping bags in the floor
"No, and I doubt it'll be the last," He muttered and before either Dimi or I could say anything a loud howl coming from the open window in the nursery filled the air with Dimi uttering one word that sent chills up my spine
"Rogues"
Then he jumped out of the window shifting in midair landing on all four legs, he looked up and our eyes locked
>Don't leave the apartment no matter what and close the windows< he said through the mate link and I nodded. I watched as he was joined by his father, Jeremy and Riley, who stood with their hackles raised ready for the attack.
>You better not die on me Dimitri or so help me I will bring you back and kill you myself< I threatened through the link and I heard him give a soft chuckle before replying with an i love you too!
And that was the last thing I heard from him before the loud growls of rogues and pack engaging in battle filled the air.
"He'll be okay right?" Luca asked as he stood beside me watching the scene below us, "Mama he'll be okay won't he?"
"They will all be okay" I replied and he nodded beside me. And though the windows were closed and locked you could still hear the deafening sound of snarls,howls, whimpers, growls and whines from below.
Please keep Dimi and the pack safe please I thought in my head as I felt every tear and cut that Dimitri was getting and it hurt like hell but I couldn't let it show, not with Luca needing reassurance that Dimi and the rest of the pack will come out of this alive, Mama and Papa please keep my mate and family safe.
an here's a new update guys sorry for the lack up uploading but I've been having writers block and also I've gotten immersed in reading City of ashes which is past of a series written by Cassandra Clare and its about a groups of teens who fight demons and if you've herd another the show Shadowhunters then you'll know what I'm taking about and if not I highly recommend you to watch it it's worth it you'll love it...so yeah that's what I've been doing while getting my mojo back in writing but alas it's here let me know what you guys think and don't forget to leave a vote/fan.
