You couldn't take it.
You pulled yourself off of Harrison and began running backstage.
"Y-Y/n, wait! Where are you-"
"Go away, Harrison!"
You ran backstage, your whole face red.
You didn't care if the play had been stopped.
That was singlehandedly the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you.
And it happened in front of Max.
You walk to the corner and sit down, bringing your knees up.
"Y/n..?"
Harrison is in front of you again, and he's smiling.
"What do you want?" You say, your head buried in your knees.
"I get that it was..embarrassing, but.."
He bends down to your level.
"..I have to be honest with you."
What?
You look up and see his now blushing face, looking down at you.
"I really, really like you. Ever since we met, I've had this overwhelming crush on you. I'd do anything for you." He takes your hand and lightly squeezes it.
"I love you, Y/n."
What?
Wait, what?
That's-
"U-Umm..gee, Harrison..that's..that's a lot to take in. But-"
Suddenly, someone grabs your arm.
"Max..?" You say, looking down at him.
His grip tightened.
Oww.
"Max, what are you doing?" You try to plead with him as he drags you off stage, but his grip only tightens.
Did I do something wrong..?
By now, you're off-stage, and on the grass. Max is dragging you to the car, and you see Neil and Nikki catching up with you.
"M-Max, you're hurting me.."
He stops.
And he releases your arm.
Putting his hands into his hoodie, he continues to stare forward. He won't even look at you.
"Come on."
And he's walking again.
By now, Nikki and Neil have caught up to you, and Neil runs to the car. Nikki, however, walks up to you.
"What's he mad about?" She says, whispering into your ear.
"I don't know."
"I don't know, Nikki."
Eventually, you make it to the car.
Max still won't look at you.
Neil has the keys - and quickly, he turns the car on. Max, without a word, opens the back door and enters the backseats. Neil follows, and Nikki enters the passengers seat.
You had to be the driver.
But you wanted to know why Max was mad.
