You thought you were right

I sat there
And asked myself
The three double-U questions
As tears rolled down my cheeks.
It tasted like salt
And made my cheeks swell
I had joined the dark clouds
In watering my day.
My tears split over
And flowed down my face
Like a river escaping a dam.
Not even the steady stream of liquid
Trickling down my face
Could cure my sadness.
Sometimes we think everyone around us cares about our safety, happiness and everything about us. But no, they only stay by us for their own benefits.
