We arrive at Devil May Cry Dante helped me off the motorcycle when suddenly everyone came out of the, front door all worried what happened to me,when I saw Lady came up to me to apologize,she told me that she went straight to find help and explain to me how furious Dante was with her.i felt awful for her even though it wasn't her fault but Dante was being overprotective and cared to much.
Everyone went inside i saw Nero was relaxing on one of the couches,Lady had one of Dante's pizzas in her hand but i notice Trish was no where to be seen,so i thought she was on mission Nico came to stand next to me to talk
"So uh how did it go with his brother?" Nico ask while she light her cigarette "Not bad I thought he would take my powers but he actually helped me" I responded back to her she nodded her head "i am surprised that he didn't" so she and went to sit on the couch,I wondered how did my life end up so difficult I thought that's when Dante handed me a beer I raised my eyebrow at him not,wanting to take it "You do know that I don't drink those stuff?" He chuckled and went to sit next to me "how are you feeling?" Dante glance at me but I just sigh and looked down at my hands that,was resting on my lap.
"Different" was my only respond he had a questioning look on his face not understand what I mean by that,I rolled my eyes at him " I don't feel it anymore,my powers-after I found out the truth about myself it went completely gone,maybe i am just overreacting " i felt frustrated but Dante took my hand in his holding it gently "you are to hard on yourself Malia,give it some time" I nodded at him so I rested my head on his shoulder when I suddenly felt like I am going to fall asleep.But Dante notice this and was about to wake me up "Hey do you want me to take you to bed?"
I lift up my head to look at him "no I want to be next to you " Dante couldn't understand why i was so attach to him all of a sudden but he thought it was cute "I will tell you what as soon as everyone leaves we can lie on your bed,and we can talk till you fell asleep?" I nodded my head and thought it will be a good idea.
My life change completely since day one when he step into my life even though I found out the truth about him,but he cares to help other people and saving the human world.that's what I like about him.
Few hours past by Nero,Nico and Lady left the office,it was almost dark soon and so I thought to take a shower while Dante is busy talking on the phone with Morrison the guy who helped me getting job here.
When i was done in the bathroom i unlock the door but "where is Dante?" I thought please don't tell me something happened that's when i saw blood on the floor,i could feel my heart was beating very loudly in my chest,i followed the trace of blood,seeing familiar pare of boots sticking out next to the wooden desk.
That's when i knew who it was i run towards him i dropped into my knees,panicking i could feel the tears was about to come,but i tried very hard to be strong,his chest was covered in his blood my eyes glance towards his sword which was also bloody.i looked around me just to be very careful if something doesn't attack us.
But thankfully nothing happened but who could do this to him and why, "Dante wake up please?" But nothing happened "wake up dammit!" I clench my fits and hit him hard on his chest when that happened a white glowing light was going through my whole body and through Dante as well,i couldn't believe what i was seeing.
Dante suddenly woke up from the glowing light that,went through his body his eyes was shining red for a minute and went gone after everything was over,he looked at me but was still in awe struck looking at my hands but i glance at him who was looking at me,but had a smirk on his face.
I quickly reach out to him landing onto him with a hug "Dante you are alive,i don't know what happened but something did happen but you are okay..you are okay" thats when i was crying while holding him,he hugged me tightly "hey i am fine don't cry,you healed me and that is a thanks to you" he chuckled softly.
I climbed off him,he sat on the wooden floor looking at his sword with a sigh " i am going to get that bastard" he mumbled under his breath,i looked at him "did you say something?" I ask softly he fake a smile and stood up he landed me a hand so i took it and lift me up from the floor.
"Malia there is something i want to tell you,i don't know how to say this" he was trying not to make an eye contact with me,so i just stood there in silence my hands was starting to sweat from how nervous i am getting " for awhile you are not safe with me and.." My eyes went wide i knew what he is going to say but i stopped him "no i am not going anywhere Dante,i am already not safe because those things keep attacking me and i feel safe with you,please don't leave me" i was out of breath from talking to fast but Dante just chuckled "you will be safe with Nero,Lady and Nico you will have to stay with them for awhile until i sort some stuff out"
"What do you mean by that,i am confused what's it have to do with me"
Dante walked towards me and stopped a few feet from me "it's family matters Malia it's not something you can fix" for a moment i was hurt but i understood his decisions so i'll respect it "Dante if it's about your brother again,remember he didn't do any harm to me."
I turned around to make my way to my bedroom and closed the door,what went through Dante's head only he would knew.but i couldn't bare the fact that two brothers can fight with each other,i climbed in my bed that noticing my pajamas is covered in Dante's blood,why on earth can i be so stupid,just as i was about to put something else on there was a knock on the door.
I squeak like a tiny mouse and quickly put some other clothes on "you can come in" with that being said, i climbed in my bed the door open up that's when i saw Lady i was, confused not understand what's going on "Hey uh Dante phoned telling me he has important things to do" said Lady,my heart skipped a beat i quickly climbed out off bed and grabbed my stuff, "wh-what are you doing Malia" Lady rush towards me trying to stop what i was doing,but my mind was on Dante.
"You need to leave me alone Lady,i need to get to him okay"
Lady grabbed my hand and look straight into my eyes which made me feel scared "Dante made it clear that you shouldn't go and look for him,he isn't himself at all right now!" She was shouting at me but i pulled my hand away from her grid "listen i know how you feel about him,but right now he needs to figure some stuff out with Vergil"
Maybe she is right but i am not going to sit here while waiting for him to return,but i hate the fact that they treat me like a kid.She went out of my room when Nero walked in seeing me, standing by the window looking outside i heard foot steps coming my way but i didn't wanted to talk; "Malia when you are ready we can go to my house,Nico said she is going to make some mac and cheese your favourite" i look at Nero for a moment my clothes everything was ready to go.
I nod my head at him,he pick up my bag of clothes to put in Nico's Van they were waiting for me,i stood in front of the front door of Devil May Cry and locked it,Nero kept the Van's door open for me to climb in,i heard the engine start to take off,everyone was quiet for a moment,just as we drove away, Nico stopped the Van with force that me and Lady almost fell of our seats.
"Dammit Nico what the hell was that for!" Shouted Nero she pointed something that was in front of them Lady and i was looking at the direction she was showing, but that's when we both saw a man walking with a, cane in the middle of the road,somehow he wore black leather clothes and he had a weird looking bird with him,Nero stood up from his seat to go outside "Don't come out wait when i get back" said Nero while he stepped outside i quickly went to where Nico was, to see who this person actually is " i wonder what this guy's deal is anyway?" Said Nico while she smoked her cigarette "i don't know,maybe he is lost"
Nero was talking to this stranger until they both walked towards the Van that's when i quickly went to my old seat,Lady was waiting patiently until the door opened and they walked inside my eyes, went to the stranger who also looked at me "for a while he is going to tag along with us,his name is V" Nero went to sit next to Nico again,we both greeted V he didn't know where to sit so i offered to sit next to me so he did so.
"How long will it take for us to get to your house Nico?"
She looked at her rear-view mirror "it won't be that long sweety,are you getting tired of us?" Nico made a joke but i quickly said "n-no not at all,why would i be"
The Van stopped next to a house so this might be their home i thought " alright we can climb out"
I grab my bag to walk into the house when i heard Nero said to Nico that he is going to look for Dante i quickly turned around to face them which he notice me staring i dropped my bag walked towards Nero i felt all angry again "if you are going than i want to go with!" I said angry.
"What!!You can't go you know that it's dangerous go inside now!" Nero argued back at me,that's when he picked me up which i was surprised at this everyone was looking at us like we are arguing like brother and sister,he took me inside and put me down "there you go,now stay here you can't risk your life not like this"
I huff at him and went straight into someone's bedroom and shut the door which only leads me into his bedroom,i didn't care, deep down i went crazy being away,from Dante this is only going to make me feel homesick.
"Women and their tantrums" Nero mumbled under his breath he walked outside that V also went after him instead..
Sorry for the short notices but i might take a bit long for me to write this story any further,my tablet is getting fix at the moment and will have to wait like a week or two to get it,and i am using my tablet to write my story.i can try using my phone but it feels more comfortable using the tablet instead.hope everyone will understand sorry for the short notices.if i made any spelling mistakes sorry about that too :(
