I'm lent over my bed,
Staring at the forest- now upside down, growing from my head,
The rain is tapping at the windows, dancing on the roof
Soon I'm sitting alone in a tub
thinking about people falling in love.
And I wonder why we choose to do just that
Falling down the stairs hurts
Falling in general isn't pleasant- so why become a 'we'
All I know is that I want to be free.
I don't ever want my wings clipped at the hands of some one else
I never want to be the one that melts.
Chemical signals make up all sorts of loves
And I don't want to be addicted, surrounded by doves
I wish to be alone, let my happiness wax, and wane
Even in the pain
Because,if love were visible,
It'd be falling like rain.
But I've brought an umbrella, and I won't be dancing, or spinning a cane.
