Gotham's Cathedral was just as dark and dreary as the rest of the city. It seemed like everywhere you turned, there was dirt and garbage covering the ground.
Sorens raven hair appeared to mix with the black of night as the wind blew it over her shoulders. She stared up at the old church and forced herself to walk up the steps.
As she entered the church, her feet kicked dust up off the floor. She sat down in the confessional and took a deep breath.
"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned."
"Of what sins do you speak, my child." A deep, raspy voice replied.
Soren looked down at the blood on her hands and clothes. "I just killed someone."
