I Crossed the ocean and reached the land,
I drew a picture of my home in the sand;
The picture is a painting of you,
By my side holding my hand,
Things I will never understand.
I lay on the shores and sing a song,
For the home I yearn to,
Yet I will never belong;
Thinking out loud trying to find,
what I did wrong
I fell asleep all through the night,
And that night it lasted long.
I dreamt of you one last time;
Chanting a poem and trying to rhyme;
Walking together in the prospering trees,
I'm looking for a way to redeem
My soul, I'm asking please,
I know thing are not always what they seem,
But I will hold on to this dream...
