-Y/N's POV-
I stood in the kitchen talking with Ira and Takana, who were currently bantering with each other. Although, despite the giggles which filled the room my senses heightened at the sound of the door opening and then closing again.
I assumed Guren and Naomi had finished conversing, and decided to wait a moment before excusing myself.
"Just say you're going to see your man and go." Ira groaned, sarcastically as she saw me make a beeline for the door,
"I'm going to see my man and go." I echoed, without turning back to face her,
"Not like that!" She groaned at her failed attempt of flustering me,
I ignored her and continued as Takana's loud guffaws filled the room, I could tell she felt a sense of victory after Ira's defeat.
I turned the corner and hurried up the staircase before going down the hallway to Guren's room.
I knocked on his door,
"Come in..." I heard his muffled, gruff voice from the other side of the door,
I opened the door, poking my head around the corner, his hand was running through his hair as he turned around to face me, "Not very inviting, is it?" I grinned at him, stepping into the room,
He returned the smile, as he strode towards me and embraced me, "Sorry." he simply apologised,
"Hm? That's very unlike you." I reached up from the hug to teasingly ruffle his hair, which he didn't seem to mind, "What's wrong are you tired?" I asked as he guided me to the bed with his hands around my waist,
"You saw what happened earlier didn't you?" He sat me on his lap, maintaining eye contact,
"Yes, I did." I kept my answer short,
"I see." He was quiet for a while before he flopped down to the bed, pulling me along next to him, "Well I'm tired, don't ask me what happened." He muttered, quickly pecking me on the forehead before shutting his eyes and laying his head on the pillow above my head,
I huffed, "Hmph, whatever." He took no notice of my curt retort, convincing me he was most likely already asleep.
I could only wonder how the army had been treating him since I escaped, not to mention this Naomi situation seemed to have only added more to his plate, the fact that he slept with a soft frown on his face had me wondering what he was thinking about and if he could even sleep in peace anymore?
I sighed, sadly with half-lidded eyes as I caressed his hair which seemed to be a regular occurrence every time he fell asleep while I was awake.
There was a silence for a while and I let Guren rest while waiting for sleep to consume me as well,
But before I could even completely shut my eyes, I heard him mutter something which immediately switched my mood, "Naomi's left."
"What do you mean left, did you kick her out?" I asked with wide eyes,
"I didn't kick her out. She made the decision to leave on her own." He continued,
"Guren what was that conversation you had with her about." I raised an eyebrow,
"Y/N, there's a reason why I said that in this state. I wasn't even supposed to be telling you."
I remained silent for a while, "We'll finish this conversation when you are in the condition for it. Go to sleep." I groaned annoyed,
"Yeah yeah," he snuggled his head into the crook of my neck,
I fought of the smile creeping on my lips, "That won't work on me. You're in trouble when you wake up."
"Aw." He groaned into my neck, lazily, before drifting off into a peaceful sleep. I sighed before sleep took over me, after it did him.

As far as I was aware, I had fell asleep after Guren had; although I was slowly woken up by what felt like light strokes on my stomach.
"Hm?" I moaned as my eyes slowly opened, and I woke up rather confused as to whether I was dreaming or not, even if I was, I couldn't remember what it was about.
I turn my head to face Guren, who had his eyes closed and appeared to be asleep. So I just dismissed it and went back to sleep.
It continued as I tried to ignore it and eventually I put my hand on my stomach to see what it was- only to feel Guren's hand underneath mine.
I sighed, "Ah, seriously?" I turned to face him, glaring at his now smirking face, "So it was you?"
He shrugged, and said nothing maintaining eye contact,
I sighed and met his eyes, turning it into a staring contest; he seemed to clock on to what was happening, as he rolled closer to me, sliding his hand dangerously, further up my top.
I broke eye contact as my eyes shot down to where his wandering hands were, "I win." He mumbled nonchalantly,
"Hmph, oh really?"
"Yeah." He replied, cockily lying onto his back,
"Where's Naomi?" I questioned,
I heard him groan, "Damn."
"You thought I forgot, huh?"
"I know you're not dumb, I hoped you forgot." I could practically hear him rolling his eyes,
"Wow." I drawled, "Anyway, answer the question,"
"I don't know, Y/N. I really don't." He shook his head, looking unsettled.
-Guren's POV-
I shut the door behind Naomi, "Stop." I warned, knowing she was attempting to walk away. I heard her huff and come to a halt as I turned to face her and she did the same.
"I know you don't need reminding on why I've banned you from leaving."
"I don't." She looked up, completely dismissing the act of ignorance now that it was just the two of us,
I ignored her, "I thought you had stopped. I told you to disassociate yourself from the very people who made us meet in the first place."
"Who said I was still associated with them?"
"You're practically sporting the exact same attire you were when you were associated with them." I narrowed my eyes at her,
"What does that have to do with anything?" She appeared somewhat bewildered,
"It means even if you're not associated with the same people, you're still going to the same environment which said people are more likely to be."
She gave me a look, saying nothing,
"So who is it this time?" I continued,
"No one. And I'm being honest when I say that." She muttered, and I could tell she was telling the truth,
"Then why? What's going on?" My tone of voice was less harsh now,
"You think I'm going to tell you?"
"No, but it's worth a try." I sighed,
She shrugged, "Anyway, I'm restricted from not leaving as long as I'm under this house. Right?" I already knew where she was going with this,
"Well I don't have a say otherwise..."
"Fine then. Let me not trouble you any longer. I'll leave." She turned her back and waved,
I closed my eyes and sighed, "By leaving you're doing the very opposite."
"But if I leave not only do I have the freedom to go where I want, wherever it may be; but you also don't hold the burden of having to take any responsibility which may come as a result of me going wherever I please." she stated it as if she had come up with the best business proposal, "The reason you're like this is because of what you had to do for my sake before, isn't it? Is that why I can't catch a break?" She raised an eyebrow suspiciously,
"Of course, you're practically under my roof and I'm putting money in your pocket." I replied in a matter of factly tone, "But of course if you want to leave, I can't force you to stay. You're still an adult even if you act like a rebellious teenage girl." I sighed,
She rolled her eyes, "I'm glad we agree with something then." She seemed to take it, "I'll come and get my stuff later."
"Why? You in a rush? I raised my eyebrow,
"Secret." She acted like she'd unlocked a new kind of achievement, she got more annoying,
I'd never demanded respect from any of the girls, let alone establish much of a sense of authority; it was something they naturally assumed when they came here. Naomi made it very clear she was going to act the way she liked anyway, which I didn't really care about, it wasn't news to me that my presence annoyed her as her's did to me, however no longer being under my 'care' seemed to give her some new found confidence which she appeared to be very excited to exercise; and as petty as it was I still narrowed my eyes at her,
"Right..." I mumbled at her expression challenging me to say anything to her,
"Well then. I'm off." We're her last words before she waved somewhat sarcastically as she turned her back on me.
As I watched her back disappear along the narrow, winding road ahead, I thought to myself that this would definitely not be our last encounter.
