Chapter 5: (Blog post #2)

The news were great and I was excited to hear that me and Rebecca were accepted. Sadly, a few days later I heard of the massive earthquake that hit Japan. I was with Rebecca when we heard the news on the radio, god all those people. May they rest in peace, it was a tragedy. The tournament didn't get delayed however, the location was changed and both me and Rebecca had to go the week after. Rebecca thought it was dumb of the music industry to not delay the tournament but rather just change the location. It felt unfair. However, me and Rebecca didn't have much choice. We boarded the plane the week afterwards and set off to New York, Manhattan. As excited as I was, I wasn't surprised they chose the "city that never sleeps". It was kind of a dream come true to go there so I was excited while also trying to keep the mood up for Rebecca. Things started to get real as soon as we stepped into that hotel.
