Johnny focus
Johnny is in his bathroom after finishing his shower when his phone rings, he has a new message.
A smile comes to his face, knowing it's from Taeyong, his sweet best friend.
But his smile drops when he reads the message.
You have a new message:
From: Sweet Tae🧸
11:42PM:
' I'm sorry for all this Johnny.
You were the most precious person I ever met. I loved u so much.
Thank you for trying to help me. I was so glad to know you.
Don't feel guilty, it's not your fault. It's mine.
It's my time to go. My life ends here,
I love you
I loved you
Tell my parents I loved them too.
See you in heaven.
Goodbye. '
Johnny puts on him the first clothes he finds and rushes in the car. He doesn't even care of the speed limit. He doesn't care at all.
All he wants is to save Tae'. He can't let his best friend do that.
He promised to help him, and he's not going to let Taeyong kill himself.
He would normally take fifteen minutes to arrives at Taeyong's house but after four minutes of crazy driving, he's here.
His hands trembling when he opens the door faster than never before.
He runs upstairs and open the bathroom's door and the vision in front of him almost makes his heart stops.
Red water on the tiles, bathtub overflowing and Taeyong, unconscious, bleeding out.
Johnny rushes to take Taeyong off of the bathtub and lay him down, back on the bathroom's tiles.
With his left hand he tries his best to stop him from bleeding out as he calls an ambulance with his right hand.
«Don't go Tae'...please...help is coming...»
Johnny cries harder than he never did.
He yells to the unconscious body in his arms.
«I FORBID YOU TO LET ME TAE'! STAY WITH ME! Please...»
Johnny raises his head when he hears the ambulance's siren.
«HELP ME PLEASE HELP ME HELP ME!»
Johnny yells at the at the top of his lungs.
Johnny follows the ambulance with the car. His heart hurts so bad.
«Sit down and try to calm yourself, your friend is in our hands now.»
A doctor says before asking Johnny to tell him Taeyong's ID.
«Can you call his parents to warn them?»
The doctor asks to the overwhelm teenager.
Johnny takes out of his pocket the phone of Taeyong, unlock it to call Taeyong's mom. He touches the 'call' option, hoping she'll respond.
«[Hello, Taeyong?]»
«Hello ma'am, I'm Taeyong's best friend, Johnny...»
Johnny manages to tell between his sobs.
«[Yes I see, Taeyong talked about you before. Is everything fine? Why are you crying?]»
Taeyong's mom says, her first happy tone now turning worried.
«I'm at the hospital...Taeyong tried to kill himself...»
Johnny cries harder, saying these words out loud hurting his throat.
«[Oh my god... Is he okay? What happened?]»
Taeyong's mother is now crying too, guilt in her stomach at the thought of her lonely boy trying to take his life away.
«I dunno, he sent me his goodbye by message and i rushed to your house and when I arrived...»
Johnny makes a pause, taking his breath back.
«He was bleeding out in the bathtub, the bloody water was overflowing, and he was unconscious... he's with the doctors now I dunno if he's okay, they can't tell me yet for the moment...»
«[I'm planning a flight to come back; we'll be here tomorrow morning. Could you call me again when the doctors will tell you how he is doing?]»
«Of course, ma'am, I'll call you as soon as I know how he is.»
It's in tears that Johnny hang up Taeyong's phone.
He takes his head between his hands and prays.
He prays for Taeyong to be okay.
Johnny feels so guilty. He knew that Taeyong was not okay, but he could never imagined him trying to take his life away like that, especially so suddenly.
All the thoughts in Johnny's head are fighting.
His emotions are a mess and he swear he could pass away from shock right now.
«Are you the one with Lee Taeyong?»
A doctor asks him.
«Yes!»
Johnny raises his head up and faces the doctor.
«Is he alive?»
Johnny asks almost desperate.
«He lost a lot of blood but yes he's alive, his state is now stable, and we happily could give him a blood transfusion.»
Johnny sighs heavily in relief.
Taeyong is alive.
The doctor continues.
«You could see him when he will be awake. Did you have his parents on the phone?»
«Yes, they're not in Korea but they will be back here tomorrow morning.»
«We will warn you when he'll be awake.»
«Thank you doctor.»
Johnny says before that the doctor walks away.
Taeyong is alive.
Taeyong is alive.
This sentence keeps repeat in Johnny's head.
«Taeyong is alive ma'am!»
Johnny yells to Taeyong's mom as she sighs in relief.
«[Thanks god he's alive. How he's doing?]»
Her voice shaking with emotions.
«He's still sleeping, I didn't see him already, I could see him when he will be awake. The doctor said that he lost a lot of blood but now he's stable and they could give him a blood transfusion to save him.»
«[We'll be here at 10AM tomorrow. You don't know how thankful I am Johnny, without you Taeyong will be dead by now. Thank you so much.]»
She cries, Johnny too, they relief their stress together, talking about Taeyong for almost ten minutes before hang up.
Johnny is now in the hospital's cafeteria, drinking a coffee as he waits to Taeyong to wake up.
Johnny jumps when another teenager sits next to him.
He looks two or three years younger and has cute pale pink hair.
«Hi, my name is Jung Jaemin! Do you want to be my friend?»
The kid asks happily before stretching his hand to Johnny.
Johnny shakes Jaemin's hand with a smile and introduce himself too.
«Hi, Jaemin, my name is Suh Johnny, nice to meet you!»
Johnny laughs a bit at the cute puppy looks on the younger face.
«How old are you Jaemin?»
He asks as he takes a sip of his coffee.
«I'm fourteen, I'm a big boy now!»
He answers cutely.
Then Johnny realizes something.
Pink hair. Name Jung.
«Are you Jaehyun's little brother?»
Johnny suddenly asks, cutting the sentence that Jaemin was about to finish.
«Yes! I am! You know my brother?»
Jaemin says, incredulous.
«He's in my high school.
You have the same hair color it's cute.»
Johnny answers, looking at Jaemin baby pink hair.
«I begged him for almost a year before he finally accepted to have a matching hair color with me.»
«What are you doing here at such an hour kid? You should be sleeping.»
«I'm a long-term patient here. I have a cancer. I don't sleep a lot because of my medicine so I walk around to make friends. I mean another one than Jaehyun.»
Jaemin tells, without dropping his angelic smile.
«Oh, I'm sorry...»
Jaehyun's little brother is sick. It's probably why Jaehyun skips a lot of classes without having to justify himself.
'Jaemin is so adorable.
Poor kid.' Johnny thinks
«Don't be sorry, not your fault, it's just like that, you know, I deal with it.»
Jaemin says, rubbing his hand on Johnny's right shoulder.
«And you, what you are doing here?»
He demands to Johnny, curious.
Johnny sighs.
«My best friend tried to kill himself, I wait for him to wake up for seeing him.»
«What's his name?»
Jaemin asks.
«Lee Taeyong. If you love colored hair, I bet you're going to love his hair. He has black hair with blue streaks.»
Johnny smiles at the thought of Taeyong beautiful hair.
«Oh! I really want to have blue hair too!»
Jaemin hops like a little kid.
Too much absorbed by their talk, they didn't see the doctor approaching them.
They both jump of surprise when he talks.
«Lee Taeyong is awake, you can see him.»
