It felt like they were being torn apart then rebuilt only to be torn apart again. The couple were in a huge amount of pain. Knowing his wife was experiencing the same pain he was, he held her in a protective manner. He wanted to protect her from it, but there was no way he could.

About three minutes of enduring that mind boggling pain it stopped. They appeared in Konaha forest. Not the Konaha forest they knew for that forest had been destroyed a long time ago.

No this forest had a much calmer air. The air wasn't completely peaceful, but it was much better than the war they just came out of, or were they still in the war only in a different time?

As Naruto looked around his surroundings he was shocked to see a forest. He was certain all of the forests were destroyed, not just Konoha's. When he looked to see his wife and he saw her passed out. The adrenaline keeping her from passing out in their time line was completely drained. She just couldn't take the pain any longer and passed out.

"Hinata!" Naruto screamed. He looked at his wife frantic. "I'll get you some help." Naruto tried to pick up Hinata but he couldn't even hold up his own body weight. The adrenaline keeping him going was running out.

Not knowing if this was the best option he screamed for help. "Heeeeeelp! We need help!" He was fairly certain there were no enemies around. If there were then there would most likely not be a forest full of life. There wouldn't be any life for miles. Even if there were enemies he had no other choice. His wife was probably dying and he wasn't that far off either. So he continued to scream out for help. Naruto eventually got light headed from screaming so much and eventually joined his wife.

Minato and his team was heading to the forest to train. Once they got a little bit out they heard someone screaming for help. They all looked at each other and bolted towards the sound.

"Keep your guard up. This could be a trap." Minato warned his team.

"Yes sensei!" They said.

They got close to the yelling, but it stopped suddenly and they weren't sure where to go. Minato, thankfully, was able to pick up their chakra.

"There is two of them, but their chakra is very low. We probably don't have to worry about fighting them, but they could be suppressing their chakra." Minato told them and led them to where Naruto and Hinata were.

When they came across Naruto and Hinata they gasped at the sight. It became real clear that this was not a trap.

The two were in terrible shape. Hinata's hair was all messed up and coated in dirt, dried blood and fresh blood. The only spot that wasn't covered in filth were two streaks under the eyes showing how much she had cried. Naruto was the same. You couldn't even tell what color his hair was. Not even his whisker marks were noticeable under all the blood and dirt.

Their faces didn't match how they looked. They had such a peaceful expression, as if they were finally getting rest that they hadn't got in years. Which was accurate. The only sleep they got would always be interrupted by the enemies attacking.

   "Rin..." Minato said.

"On it." Rin nodded and started to check on who was in worst state and needed her attention at that moment. She started on Hinata.

   "Who are they?" Obito asked.

"They are from Konoha, but I don't recognize them. The girl is a Hyuga so we should bring them back to the village. I'll ask Hiashi once we get back. I don't know about the boy but it's clear they came together." Minato said. When they found them Naruto was still in his protective position.

"They're stable enough to at least bring them back to the village." Rin declared.

"Let's hurry. Hopefully they can answer some questions." Minato ordered.

————

Hinata opened her eyes slowly. She expected to see the the dull gray color of her and Naruto's tent. She expected to smell the usual smell of blood and fallen comrades. So Hinata was shocked to see a white ceiling and a clean smell. Hinata wasn't sure what shocked her more, feeling an actual comfy bed, or seeing uninjured people, especially them being her mother and father along with two other girls she didn't recognize.

"Wh-where am I? What's happening?" Hinata asked frantic. She looked around trying to find her husband, but soon realized he wasn't there. "Naruto! Where's Naruto?" Hinata looked around and cried fearing the worst.

"Your in the hidden leaf village. Your safe now. Is Naruto that boy you were with? If so he's in the next room with my husband." Kushina spoke calmly trying to soothe the crying girl.

"I-I'm in Konoha? H-how? It was destroyed in the beginning of the war. Wait, am I dead? Surely I would know if I were dead." Hinata thought out loud.

"Konoha is safe. It's never been destroyed and no your not dead." Hinata's mother gave her a kind smile.

"Then how..." Hinata looked out the window and saw the Hokage mountain. This one only had three heads. "Sasuke! I never imagined he could..." Hinata gasped. She then remembered Sasuke and what he did for them. She started to cry heavier than before. "I-I-I need to speak with Naruto." Hinata stood up but fell over.

"You shouldn't walk. You'll only hurt yourself more than you already are." Rin warned her and picked her up with Kushina's help.

"I also need to ask you some questions. You're obviously a Hyuga, but I've never seen you before. You also look almost exactly like my wife." Hiashi said.

"I'll answer all of your questions, just please take me to Naruto. I need to see him. Please." Hinata pleaded.

————

"Hinata!" Naruto sat ip with a start looking for his wife. He couldn't find her so he started to panic.

"It's OK. Your safe now. That girl you were with is safe she's in the next room with my wife." Minato explained calmly.

"Oh thank goodness." Naruto sighed in relief he threw himself back. He then realized who had said that and sat back up again. "Am I dead? I can't be dead! What about Hinata and the war?! They need me out there!"

"Your not dead, your safe now. Your in the village hidden in the leaves." Minato said.

"That can't be right. Pain destroyed the village in the beginning of the war." Naruto shook his head.

"What are you talking about? The village was never destroyed. See, look." Obito pointed to the window. Naruto followed his finger and saw that the village was indeed not destroyed. He also saw that the Hokage mountain only had three heads on it.

"Sasuke. How did you... thanks teme." Naruto whispered. He then started to cry thinking about Sasuke. "I imagine you have questions, but first I need to speak with Hinata."

"Naruto!" Hinata exclaimed from the door.

"Hinata!" Naruto ran towards her and hugged her then kissed her.

"Naruto, did you see?" Hinata asked her eyes filling up with happy tears.

"Yeah, Sasuke really out did himself this time." Naruto wiped away a few tears.

"I'm sorry." Hinata put a concerned hand on his cheek.

"I'm OK Hinata. We have a chance to make things right." Naruto kissed her hand. He carried her to his bed. "Rest now. I'll explain everything. It's for the best."

Hinata nodded and everyone looked at Naruto waiting for him to speak.

"How are you able to walk and actually speak? You were barely alive only a few hours ago." Rin asked.

"I'm just a fast healer." Naruto chuckled. Man did that feel good. He could actually laugh!

"Your welcome." Kurama grumbled.

"So how did you end up in the forest." Kushina asked.

"Before I explain anything I want Rin and Obito to leave." Naruto said.

"Why does Kakashi get to stay?!" Obito complained.

"I'm only telling him because I have too. Besides it's best if you don't know." Naruto explained.

"We're in the middle of a war. Whatever it is I'm sure they can handle it." Minato said.

   "Not this." Naruto said darkly.

Minato told Obito and Rin to leave understanding that it was probably for the best like Naruto said. With a sigh Obito followed Rin outside and shut the door.

"Did you tell the Hokage about us?" Naruto asked.

   "Yes." Minato nodded.

"I'm surprised he didn't at least send Shikaku." Hinata said.

"He probably didn't want to freak us out too much." Naruto said. He then sat next to Hinata and held her in his arms knowing they would need each other for this story. "So this is all of you the Hokage sent?"

   "Yes." Hiashi nodded.

"Well I guess we should start out by saying we are from the future." Naruto stated.
