I'm brave!

There are nights
I feel incomplete.
That the monsters
crawl outside of the closet
and seem to accrete
with demons i can not compete.
There are days
when light itself feels like a punishment
to my sore and tired eyes.
There are moments
I feel like a sinner
who shouldn't be walking this street.
But not today,
today i am brave!
Brave enough to live
brave enough to breathe.
