Jimin arrived at the restaurant that the six of them were going to eat at. Tonight was actually prom night as well but they all opted out and decided to go for dinner and spend the night together instead. Jimin waited outside for a couple minutes before seeing Jungkook walking toward him.
"Hey Hyung!" Jungkook smiles.
"Hey kook, you look burnt out," Jimin giggles.
"I had to go see a lot of family, who were constantly pinching my cheeks" the maknae sighs and scrunches his nose.
"Well we won't do that to you," Jimin laughs.
"Heyho," Jin and Namjoon walk up to the pair.
"Hey guys," Jimin answers back.
"Boy I'm starving!" the eldest says.
"My family were constantly trying to shove food down my throat, but I held on for tonight," Seokjin adds.
"They tried doing the same to me!" Namjoon complains.
"Why are you guys all out here?" Tae and Hobi approach the other four.
"Waiting for you," Jungkook responds.
"Great we're all here let's go!" Seokjin runs to the entrance and walks in to the restaurant followed by the others.
"Hello! How many," the lady behind the pedestal asks Seokjin.
"Six."
"Okay right this way!"
They follow her near the back of the restaurant to a rounded booth for all of them. They squeeze in and pass the menus around.
"Can you guys believe schools over?" Namjoon asks.
"I feels like just yesterday we started high school," Jimin adds.
They hear quiet giggling and look over to another booth with parents and their children who were also out to dinner.
"I barely remember being that age," Hoseok laughs.
"I bet you were still cute." Taehyung cooes.
"Jimin that's gonna be you eventually," Seokjin says.
"Yeah, don't remind me," the latter giggles.
"Hello I am Soojee and I'll be your waitress! Can I start you with some drinks?" The girl -not much older than them- asks.
They all order their drinks as she writes it down and walks away.
Hoseok snickers, "She was totally eyeballing Jungkook."
A chorus of 'Ooh's' fill the table as the maknae's face heats up.
"Ewww stop~"
"Still a small maknae at heart," Taehyung cooes and squishes him.
"Guk you've never talked about your interests before," Hoseok raises his eyes brows.
Jungkook's cheeks turn pink, "I'm not interested in anyone."
"Not one?" Jimin questions.
"No..."
"Alright alright," Seokjin sighs.
Shortly after, they receive their drinks and order some food.
"God I'm starving, I could eat a horse!" Seokjin whines as he rests his head on Namjoon's shoulder.
"I hope not!" Hoseok comments making the whole table laugh again.
"Anyways...Namjoon, Jimin how 'bout those scholarships?" Taehyung says.
"What are you guys going into?"
"Well I'm thinking animation," Jimin states proudly.
"I'm going with electronic and such," Joon adds.
"He needs to know how to fix them at the rate he breaks them," Jin giggles with the rest of the table joining in.
"I'm going into photography," Taehyung says with a smile.
"Yes I am very proud of you!" Hoseok cooes at him.
"Jungkook and I are going for a dance major, right?" Jungkook nods his head excitedly at Hoseok.
"So we'll all be apart!" Taehyung whines into Hoseok's chest.
"Pfft we will all still be in the same building!" Jimin reasons.
"Yeah but it's not the same."
"There will be advantages and disadvantages Tae, gotta make sure to look at the bright side," Namjoon utters.
"What's the bright side?"
"You don't know until you find out!"
"Aren't you guys gonna end up rooming together?" Seokjin asks.
"Well...I guess..,"
"See! It's not that bad."
"New chapters, new experiences..."
"Namjoon's gonna start being philosophical again," Taehyung whines.
The whole table erupts with laughter and smiles as Namjoon turns bright red.
"Never mind then," he scratches the back of his head.
"Well," Jin lifts up his drink, "cheers at least? To a new beginning."
Everyone picks up their glass and clinks them together as their food is delivered.
