of course it wasn't true. she loved you more than anything, she just couldn't admit it yet. it would include a whole process of coming out and she wasn't ready for that. she especially didn't want to admit to her liking you on camera.
el saw you dancing with max at the snowball, so she assumed that you liked max, not eleven.
