Riley's room
Elliot was sitting by the bay window waiting for Maya to come. Riley was wrapping a present.
"Come on Riles. She's gonna be here any second now." Elliot told her.
Riley put the bow on top and sat by the bay window.
Maya came through the window.
"Happy 14, Maya!" The twins said in unions.
Riley handed her gift first.
Maya began opening it but it turned out to a bunch of boxes wrapped up in more boxes.
Elliot chuckled as Maya opened box after box and her gift was still not revealed.
"How's 14? Tell me what it's like to be 14, but don't leave anything out." Riley told her.
"So far it's a lot of work." Maya sighed as she opened a box and it turned out to be an even smaller box.
"Because you know El and I will be there soon, and I want to know what I have to look forward to," Riley told her.
"Well, if you're like me, you can look forward to your mother forgetting your birthday." Maya smiled sarcastically.
"What? Seriously?" Elliot asked shocked.
"Oh, no she did not!" Riley said angrily and began to leave but Maya grabbed her from the back.
"Where you goin', honey?" Maya asked.
"Must talk to your mom." Riley struggled in Maya's grip.
"Must not get involved," Maya told her.
"Why do you tell me these things if you don't expect me to fix them?" Riley asked as she sat back down.
"When you're 14, you'll understand," Maya said calmly.
"How could your mother forget your birthday, Maya?" Riley asked.
"I've stopped trying to figure it out. She was already gone when I woke up this morning." Maya told her.
"This doesn't make sense. I know she doesn't show it much but your mom cares about Maya." Elliot told her.
"I know she cares about me. Just not enough to remember my birthday. She probably just took an early shift at the diner." Maya shrugged.
"Rather than be there for your birthday? Ah-uh." Riley shook her head and began to leave but Maya held her from the back.
Maya finally opened the present and saw three friendship rings.
'Riles, a friendship ring." Maya smiled.
"Yeah," Riley said as she struggled in Maya's grip.
"Three of them." Maya smiled.
"Yeah!" Riley said as she struggled.
"In case I lose two." Maya smiled.
"No." Riley sat back down with a frown on her face.
"Well, anybody else would have just gotten me one." Maya shrugged.
"No. " Riley shook her.
"Oh, I get it." Maya smiled.
"Yeah." Riley smiled.
"One for each hand and one is a spare." Maya said in a 'duh' tone.
"No." Riley frowned.
"I'll never take this off until I die," Maya said as she put on one of the rings.
"You'll probably die before me since you're older. Should I tell the people not to take it off your dead corpse body?" Riley asked with a smile.
"Yeah, would you do that for me?" Maya asked.
"And, Maya, the second ring-" Riley held out her finger.
"-is for you." Maya put a ring on Riley's finger.
"Yeah. Oh, no. If you're not there, who's going to tell the people not to take it off my dead corpse body?" Riley asked.
"I'll do it. Now, who's is the third for?" Elliot asked scared of the answer.
Maya and Riley 'innocently' smiled at him.
Elliot's eyes widened as he knew what was coming. He tried to run out of the room in time but Maya and Riley tackled him.
"No!... I'm a guy!... Guys don't wear rings!" Elliot yelled as he struggled against Riley and Maya.
"It's a manly ring!" Riley shouted.
"There is no such thing as a manly ring!" Elliot yelled.
Riley and Maya eventually forced him to wear the ring.
The trio got up.
"If you really want me to wear a ring marry me. I'll wear that ring happily!" Elliot yelled at Maya.
Maya rolled her eyes and they all sat by the bay window again.
"Ok, my turn," Elliot said after a moment and gave Maya her present.
"This isn't like her's right. No box after box?" Maya asked.
"No." Elliot shook his head.
Maya opened the present and her eyes went wide.
"Is this-?" Maya began.
"The art kit you wanted. Yeah." Elliot smiled.
Elliot remembered that whenever the gang would go to the mall together. Maya would stare at this amazing art kit in an art shop. But she couldn't get it because it was too expensive. Elliot was determined to get it for Maya on her birthday.
"How did you get this? It's crazy expensive." Maya smiled.
"I became friends with a guy that works there. He let me use his employee discount. 50%." Elliot smiled.
"Nice deal. Thanks." Maya smiled.
The trio hugged.
"Happy Birthday, Maya." The twins said in unions.
"Thanks for not forgetting," Maya said after they separated.
"Oh, yeah, that reminds me." Riley began leave but Maya grabbed her from the back.

Matthews Apartment
Maya, Riley, and Elliot came back home from eating lunch out.
They walked into the apartment and Shawn was sitting on the couch. Riley and Elliot walked a little ahead than and they all froze when they saw Shawn.
Elliot and Riley turned around.
"You seeing what I'm seeing?" Elliot asked Riley.
Riley nodded with a big smile.
"Are you really here?" Riley asked with a smile.
"Yep, I'm here." Shawn stood up.
"Uncle Shawn!" Riley opened her arms for a hugged.
Shawn hugged her.
Once they separated.
"How ya doin'?" Elliot asked as he opened his arms.
"I'm good." Shawn hugged him.
Once they separated.
"Hey." Shawn awkwardly greeted Maya.
"Hey." Maya awkwardly greeted him back.
Shawn went in for a hug.
"Okay." Maya hugged him.
"It's her birthday. Squeeze her good." Riley told Shawn.
"Oh, Happy Birthday, kiddo." Shawn smiled at Maya.
Maya smiled back.
"You doing something special?" Shawn asked as he hugged her again.
"This is it," Maya said when still hugging him.
"Is that why you're dressed up?" Shawn asked Elliot.
"Dress to impress my girl." Elliot fixed his bow.
Maya rolled her eyes as Shawn chuckled.
Just then Topanga and Cory came in with a big cake but didn't see the other four.
"Honey, hide the cake before Maya gets here," Topanga told Cory.
"I know, but you know what we should do? We should bring this cake to Maya's mother just in case she forgot to get her own kid a cake." Cory told Topanga.
Topanga looked straight ahead and saw Riley, Elliot, Maya, and Shawn staring at the couple.
"Oh, you think that could actually happen?" Topanga asked awkwardly.
"Honey, I grew up with Shawn Hunter. Remember his mother? She forgot where she lived." Cory told her.
Maya looked at Shawn for an explanation and he nodded.
"See, my biggest worry is that forgetting to give your kid a cake is the first step to forgetting where you live," Cory told her.
"Oh, that's not your biggest worry anymore." Topanga nervously laughed.
"Maya's behind me, isn't she? Why is everybody always behind me? Okay, Maya, I'm not going to turn around because I'm all embarrassed, but you know how much I like your mother." Cory smiled embarrassedly.
"I know you do. You always defend her." Maya nodded
"Because at least she's not-" Cory began.
"No, everything's fine! Stop talking!" Topanga tried to stop him.
"Shawn's mother! What a cuckoo. 'Ah, it's Tuesday! I better run away!' You have to laugh, huh, Topanga?" Cory laughed as he mocked Shawn's mother.
Elliot cringed as his dad just made the situation much worse.
Topanga cringed as well.
"Nice face," Cory remarked.
"You want to turn around or you want me to turn you around?" Topanga asked.
Cory bit the inside of his cheek embarrassed.
"How you doin', Shawn?" Cory asked.
'Well, it ain't Tuesday, so pretty good." Shawn replied.
Topanga laughed.
"Shawny!" Cory cheered as he turned around the face, Shawn.
Cory threw the cake in the air and Topanga caught it.
Elliot, Maya, and Riley stepped aside as Cory and Shawn hugged.
"How you doin', buddy?" Cory asked as the sat down on the couch.
"Just here doing a photo essay 'Weekends in New York for under $100.' It's impossible. Can I stay here?" Shawn asked.
"We found him on the couch. Can we keep him?" Riley asked with a smile.
"Yeah, we'll take full responsibility for feeding and playing with him." Elliot joked.
"Wait a minute. Who let you in?" Topanga asked.
"I have a key." Shawn shrugged.
"You gave him a key?" Topanga asked Cory shocked.
"Fine, I'll give you a key," Cory told her.
"You love me!" Topanga smiled.
"I do love you. You have the key to my heart." Cory smiled at Topanga.
The couple held hands and walked towards the kitchen with Maya's cake.
"So who has the key to your heart?" Riley asked as sat next to Shawn
"Yeah, you ever been in love or what?" Maya asked she sat next to Shawn, on the other side.
"This should be interesting," Elliot smirked as he sat next to Maya.
"Angela time?" Shawn asked Cory and Topanga.
"Seems unavoidable," Topanga told him.
"Angela spill it," Riley told Shawn.
"Yeah, was she all tortured poet-wanderer-female-you type?" Maya asked.
"Was she hot?" Elliot asked.
"Elliot!" The Matthews family scolded him.
Maya rolled her eyes.
"Very." Shawn chuckled.
"Nice." Elliot held out his fist and Shawn bumped fist with him.
"You guys want to know how they fell in love?" Cory asked.
"He went through her purse," Topanga told them.
"What?" Riley asked shocked.
"Not cool man." Elliot shook his head.
"I can explain that," Shawn said awkwardly.
"Kids, trust us, it was very romantic in high school," Topanga told them.
"So basically he fell in love with a concept?" Riley asked.
"It was doomed from the start," Maya added.
"Never let me do that," Riley told Maya.
"I would kill it immediately. That's what best friends are supposed to do." Maya told her.
"Ring power!" Riley cheered.
"Ring power!" Maya cheered.
Riley and Maya connected fingers above Shawn's head.
Maya and Riley looked towards Elliot.
"I'm wearing it. I'm not doing anything more." Elliot told them.
The girls rolled their eyes.
"Thunder!" Riley cheered.
"Lightning!" Maya cheered.
Shawn dragged their fingers down and they disconnected them, awkwardly.
"So where's Angela now?" Riley asked.
"I don't know. I tried to make it work." Shawn told her.
"But you couldn't commit?" Maya asked.
"No, You know, people have it all wrong about me. I-I was all in. She's the one who left. I got left." Shawn told Maya.
"Yeah, I-I get a lot of that too. Who's on your list?" Maya asked.
"Mother, father, girlfriend." Shawn listed.
"Wow. What is it with us?" Maya asked as she chuckled.
"What is it with us?" Shawn chuckled.
An idea came into Riley's head.
"Window! Window right now!" Riley got up and smiled.
Maya and Elliot got up.
"Not you," Riley told Maya.
"But it's my birthday," Maya said hurt.
"Yeah, I know." Riley smiled.
"You." Riley pointed to Topanga.
"Really?" Topanga asked, excitedly as she stood up.
"And you!" Riley pointed to Cory.
"Oh, boy!" Cory smiled as he stood up.
"Come on El," Riley said as she, Cory and Topanga began going to the bay window.
"Um, I guess...you guys can have a good chat..." Elliot said awkwardly as he began to leave.
"El!" Maya called.
Elliot turned around.
"What is she doing?" Maya asked.
"I don't know." Elliot shook his head and went to Riley's room.

Elliot, Riley, Cory, and Topanga were sitting in the bay window.
"Okay, I have heard all of the stories. But tell me the truth, mom. When you guys were my age, was dad really that good at schemes?" Riley asked.
"Schemes?" Topanga asked confused.
"You know, rackets, scams, pulling stuff on people, changing their lives," Riley explained.
"Cory Matthews was the best there ever was," Topanga told her.
"Why?" Riley asked.
"Well, because when he believes in something, his will is stronger than anybody's." Topanga smiled.
"I'm retired," Cory said in a tired voice.
"But what if I believed in something?" Riley asked.
"What do you believe in?" Elliot asked confused.
"I'll tell it in a minute. I need to make sure he's on board." Riley pointed to Cory.
"Your move." Topanga turned to Cory.
"Riley, you want to pull me back in the game, then this has to be monumental. A scheme of schemes. Schemetata de schemetata." Cory said as stood up and began to move around the room.
"What's that mean?" Elliot asked.
"He's making it up," Topanga explained.
"A scheme that makes the angels sing. Otherwise, I'm out forever. You hear me?!" Cory yelled.
Riley's eyes widened.
"Now you've got one minute, Riley. Wow me." Cory said as he sat back down.
"I want Shawn to be Maya's dad," Riley revealed.
The family became speechless. Cory could only say one thing:
"Wow."

"Riley, you can't just want Shawn to be Maya's father. Your dad can't possibly make that happen. Can you?" Topanga asked Cory.
"Tough one. It's the stuff legends are made of. But if we can pull it off, it would make the angels sing." Cory smiled.

"I want to do this with you, dad. Teach me. I want to do it for Maya." Riley told him.
Riley Matthews: The Apprentice
"This is a great idea. And I know, deep, down I know. You can pull this off. I believe in you, Riles 100%." Elliot told her.
Elliot Matthews: The Believer
"Riley. I don't want you to get your hopes up. But if there is anyone in the world who can help you pull this off, it's him." Topanga smiled as she looked at Cory.

"Well, the best master plan involves how well we know our two subjects," Cory told everyone.

Maya Hart: The Apprentice's Best Friend
"We got rings." Riley showed off her friendship ring.
Elliot rolled his eyes and showed the ring.
"So do we." Cory smiled.
Topanga showed off her wedding ring.
"Shawn gave me mine when I was 25 years old. Your mother won't let me wear it." Cory said, very upset.
Topanga rolled her eyes as she put her hand, with her wedding ring on down.
"Okay, so the next step in our plan is we need a cutting-edge tech guy," Cory told everyone.
"Ladies and Elliot!" Farkle greeted them through the window.
"Farkle!" They all greeted him.
"Want to see my new computer watch? Sure, it looks like an old calculator watch, but I updated the hard drive and added an interesting new feature." Farkle pressed a button.
"Riley is within five feet of you." Farkle's watch said in Riley's voice.
"Hey, that's my voice." Riley smiled, impressed.
"Yeah, I've been recording it for years. But don't worry, I would never take advantage of it." Farkle said as he pressed another button.
"I love you, Farkle." The watch said

Riley was shocked.
"Never take advantage huh?" Elliot raised an eyebrow.
"Well, I guess we found our tech guy." Cory smiled.
Farkle Minkus: The Wonk
"So the team's complete?" Riley asked.
"Not quite yet, Riley. See, the best master plan usually involves a distraction. And usually, it comes in the form of a pretty face." Cory told her.
They all looked towards Topanga and Elliot.
"Oh, you guys." Topanga blushed.
"Please, they're obviously talking about me," Elliot smirked.
"Hi, everybody." Lucas greeted them through the window and sat outside.
Topanga grabbed Lucas's face and examined. It.
"Yeah, okay." Topanga nodded after a moment.
"Fine." Elliot sighed.

"A lot of the time, yeah." Riley smiled.

Shawn and Maya were talking.
"I never knew what happened between my mom and dad. She just tells me not to be upset with him and never wants to go into details." Maya told Shawn.
"Why not?" Shawn asked.
"Because she did something to make him leave. You and I are the ones that get left, not like her. That's why we understand each other, right?" Maya asked.
Just then Elliot, Riley, Topanga, Cory, Lucas, and Farkle came into the living room.
"Where have you been? It's my birthday. And when did you guys show up? You've all been in there talking for the past hour?" Maya asked upset as she walked up to them.
"Actually, we said what we needed to say in 10 minutes. Looks like you two have been talking for the past hour, though." Riley smiled.
"Yeah, well, you wouldn't let us in your room, so it's like you trapped us out here," Maya said awkwardly.
Elliot chuckled.
"Uh-huh." Riley nodded.
"So of course we've been talking for the past hour," Maya explained.
"Actually, according to my watch, it's only been-" Farkle pressed a button.
"Maya is within five feet of you." Farkle's watch said in Maya's voice.
"What the-" Maya asked shocked.
Maya began to angrily make her way towards Farkle.
"Danger, danger!" Came Maya's voice from the watch.
Maya ripped the watch from Farkle's wrist and crushed it with her left foot.
Farkle casually pulled out another watch.
"I love you, Farkle." Came Maya's voice from the watch.
"Yeah, okay," Farkle smirked.
"Riley, Elliot, I thought we were doing something for my birthday," Maya said upset.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure something's going to happen." Riley smiled.
"Don't be upset sweetheart. We're only trying to look out for you." Elliot said as he put his arm around Maya's shoulder.
"How are you looking out for me by locking me out?" Maya asked.
Elliot just smirked.
Shawn went to talk to Cory and Topanga.
"Hey, Cor. Do you know Maya's mother missed her birthday?" Shawn asked.
"I do. I do know. That's why I bought Maya a cake." Cory told him.
"What, that's it? That's all you did?" Shawn asked.
"Well, you know me, Shawn. I don't like to meddle." Cory told him as he shook his head.
Topanga shook her head as well.
"What?! What's become of you?" Shawn asked shocked.
"I'm retired. I'm out." Cory told him.
"What? You two, window!" Shawn ordered as he pointed to the living window.
"Us?" Topanga asked shocked.
"Whatever for?" Cory asked shocked.
"You four." Maya pointed to her friends.
"Us?" Riley, Farkle, and Lucas asked shocked.
"Window now," Maya ordered.
"Whatever for?" Elliot asked shocked.
The kids went to Riley's room.
Shawn, Cory, and Topanga sat by the living room window.
"The Cory Matthews I knew would have immediately taken this little girl under his wing and become kind of a father figure to her." Shawn began lecturing the two.
"I'm old." Cory defended himself.
"He's tired." Topanga defended her husband.
"You're pathetic!" Shawn told Cory off.
"I'm tired." Cory defended himself.
"He's old!" Topanga defended her husband.
"Come on, man! We were Kings! This could be the return of Cory and Shawn." Shawn told him as he got up and went to Cory's side.
"Hmm." Cory began thinking.
"Come on! Let's you and me fix things between Maya and her mother." Shawn smiled.
"Hmm. You don't think we're too old for such high jinks and shenanigans?" Cory asked.
"Is Maya not worth it to you?" Shawn asked.
"Is she worth it to you?" Topanga asked Shawn.
"Yeah. I like her very much. Doesn't she remind you of someone?" Shawn smirked.
Cory and Topanga gave Shawn a 'really' look.
"Yeah, what can I say? I like people that remind me of me." Shawn told them.
"Do I remind you of you?" Cory asked with a smile.
"No." Shawn shook his head.
Cory sighed.
"You know, if this were the old days, I probably might consider visiting Katy-" Cory began.
"-her mother's name is Katy," Topanga explained.
"-in the diner where she works." Cory finished.
"The Nighthawk Diner over on 17th street," Topanga explained.
"But again, I'm too old," Cory added.
"He needs his sleep," Topanga explained.
Cory put his head on Topanga's shoulder and closed his eyes.
"Well, I don't. And I'm disgusted with you." Shawn said as he got up.
"He just needs a little nappy before bed." Topanga stroked Cory's chin.
Shawn rolled his eyes and left.
"Good job," Topanga smirked.
Cory began snoring, he actually fell asleep.
"Seriously?" Topanga asked shocked.
"Yip yip yip yip yip yip," Cory said in his sleep.
Topanga chuckled.

Riley's room
Farkle, Riley, Elliot, and Maya were sitting by the bay window while Lucas was setting up his rope.
"You want to see a rope trick?" Lucas asked Maya.
Maya looked at him weirdly.
"Maya, it's important that you know that what we're about to do to you is for your own good," Riley told Maya, calmly.
Farkle pressed a button on his watch.
"Maya, it's important that you know that what we're about to do to you is for your own good." The recording played.
"Farkle," Maya said annoyed.
"I'm the wonk!" Farkle smiled.
'Okay, I get it. Now, what is so important?" Maya asked.
"You want to see a rope trick?" Lucas asked as he swung the rope in a circular motion.
"Will you stop distracting me with that? It's not like I actually believed you're a real cowboy." Maya said annoyed.
"Yeah, 'cause if I was, then I could do this." Lucas swung the rope around Maya, went to her and tied her up. He tied the other end to Riley's bed.
"Why did you tie me up?" Maya asked angrily.
"Oh, Shawn's going to meet your mother," Riley said casually as he played with her nails.
Maya growled.
"Did I ever tell I you look beautiful when you growl?" Elliot smiled.
"When then I must look pretty stunning right now?" Maya glared at Elliot.
"You do." Elliot nodded with a smirk on his face.
"Why would you want him to meet my mother? My mother drives men away. This will end up just like my father, Shawn will run for the hills!" Maya told then upset.
"Run for the hills? Who says run for the hills?" Riley chuckled.
Maya growled at Riley again.
"Run for the hills!" Riley shouted.
Lucas and Fakle ran out the window and Elliot and Riley ran out the door, leaving Maya alone in Riley's room, tied up.

Shawn walked in a saw a waitress with blonde hair and the name tag 'Katy' cleaning the counter.
"Katy?" Shawn asked as he walked up to her.
"That's what it says right here. Yeah?" Katy smiled.
"Hi." Shawn smiled.
"Hi. What'll it be?" Katy asked.
Elliot, Riley and Cory were in a booth in the back hiding behind menues and watching the scene unfold.

"Oh, me? I'll have some birthday cake." Shawn said as he sat on stood by the counter.
"What?" Katy asked confused.
"What kind of mom are you, Katy?" Shawn asked.
'What? Hey, unless your business with me is tuna melt, meatloaf or pie. You can walk your nosy little butt right out of here, mister!" Katy yelled at him.
Elliot, Riley and Cory shared a worried glance.

"Who are you, buddy?" Katy asked with attitude.
"My name's Shawn Hunter." Shawn introduced himself.
"Whoa," Katy said shocked.
"What do you mean, 'whoa'?" Shawn asked.
"You're the guy Maya doesn't stop talking about, the Matthews' friend. You guys all went on a family weekend together. She had a really good time and I appreciate it. Thank you very much." Katy thanked him politely.
"You're welcome," Shawn replied.
"And if you ever question my motherhood again, I will smash a plate over your head." Katy threatened Shawn.
"You know what, lady? You already don't like me, so I'm just going to keep talking, okay? Today is Maya's birthday. What are you doing here since first thing this morning?" Shawn asked?
"You're right," Katy said softly.
Shawn nodded.
"I don't like you at all!" Katy yelled.
Shawn just smiled.
"Show's over," Riley said.
"Ugly ending," Elliot said.
"Let's move," Cory said.
The three of them quietly left while hiding behind menues.

Riley's room
Elliot and Riley came in to see Riley's room a mess the bed mattress was out of the bed case and upside down. Chairs were upside down as well. This entire mess was because Maya tried to escape but failed.
Elliot let out a low whistle
"Whoa," Riley said shocked.
Maya glared at the twins.
They came to the bay window and sat on the left and right side of Maya.
"Maya, we tried. It didn't work." Riley told her.
"I told you two, some things can't be fixed. She does this. She makes men leave. Shawn's probably in Mexico by now. Why did you two do this?" Maya asked upset.
"Hey, things might not have worked out between your mom and Uncle Shawn but he cares about you. He won't leave." Elliot told Maya.
"Whatever." Maya rolled her eyes.
"You're angry at us," Riley stated, shocked.
"I am." Maya nodded.
A minute passed.
"How about now?" Riley asked with a smile.
"Right now I'm kind of, like, furious," Maya told her.
"You look cute when you're furious." Elliot smiled.
Maya glared at him.
"Should I untie you then?" Riley asked.
"I wouldn't." Maya shook her head.
Elliot untied Maya. Maya got out of the rope and quietly sat down.
"If you want to give me back the friendship ring, I'll understand," Riley told her.
"I am never giving this friendship ring back as long as I live!" Maya said angrily as she held onto the ring.
"Wow, you said kind of a nice thing in a really mean voice." Riley smiled.
"Riley, people only get upset with each other when what they're talking about is important to them," Maya explained.
"Huh. Then maybe there's still hope." Riley told her.
"Let's hope so because if any deserves this it's you, Maya," Elliot told Maya.
"Thank you for untying me." Maya thanked Elliot.
"Are you still angry at us?" Riley asked.
"I'll think about it," Maya told her.
A moment passed.
"Yes!" Maya tackled the twin and they fell on the mattress.

"Do you think I would walk in here and talk to you like this if I wasn't so fond of your daughter?" Shawn asked.
"Oh, you're fond of my daughter. Why don't you tell me about your vast experience of raising a child?" Katy asked.
"I don't have any! But I know you don't work an extra shift at a diner and miss your daughter's birthday." Shawn told her off.
"Mm-hmm. And you know this because you know so much about relationships?" Katy asked.
"I'm terrible at relationships," Shawn told her.
"I'm worse," Katy added.
"I don't want to be," Shawn told her.
"Neither do I." Katy agreed.
"Well, then we've got something in common," Shawn told her.
"Look, my daughter likes having you around. But how can you stick around when every weekend she told me you go somewhere else?" Katy asked.
"I write about places. That's my job." Shawn told her.
"I can't let Maya get close to somebody else who just leaves," Katy told him.
'Okay, first of all, I'm not a leaver. All right? I'm a stayer. I'm the one who gets left." Shawn told her.
There was a moment of silence.
"Well, we got that in common too," Katy said sadly.
Shawn became confused.
"What do you mean? Maya thinks that you chased away-" Shawn began.
"I know what she thinks. It's her father. A girl should think well of her father." Katy cut Shawm off.
Just then a woman with curly brown hair came in with a small necklace box.
"Hi, Katy. So I finished it and it's just like you wanted it." She showed Katy the locket.
"It's beautiful, Camille. She'll love it. But I'm still $50 short and it'll take an extra shift to pay for it." Katy sighed.
"It's a nice locket. Family photo going in there?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah. Her and me." Katy smiled.
"Here you go." Shawn pulled out $50 and gave it to Camille.
"Really?" Katy asked shocked.
'Today is her birthday. But you knew that." Shawn said softly.
"He's cute," Camille told Katy and left with the money.
"I'll pay you back," Katy told Shawn.
"You will. You'll let me take the photo." Shawn told Katy.

Matthews Apartment
Maya, Elliot, Riley, Cory, and Topanga were in the living room
"We just wanted to give you a birthday you'd never forget, Maya," Topanga told her.
"I appreciate it. I do. Some things are just impossible." Maya told her.
"I used to not believe that," Cory spoke up.
"I still don't." Riley linked arms with Maya.
You know I believe?" Elliot asked.
Everyone looked at him.
"I think everything takes a little time and effort. All we have to do is give Maya's mom and Uncle Shawn a bit of time to bond." Elliot told them.
"El." Maya grabbed his hand, softly.
"Yeah?" Elliot asked.
"I love that you believe in this. But even time can't fix things." Maya told him.
Elliot knew that no matter what he said Maya wouldn't believe him. And he couldn't blame her. She had been through a lot of disappointment in life. So he just softly kissed her forehead. Maya closed her eyes as he did this.
"Happy Birthday Maya." Elliot wished her softly.
Maya softly smiled at him.
Just then Shawn and Katy came in and everyone stood up.
"Happy Birthday. Everything you think is wrong." Shawn told Maya.
"I asked you not to tell her. Why would you do this?" Katy asked upset.
"Because she deserves to love the parent who stayed," Shawn told her.
"What?" Maya asked confused.
'Your mother had nothing to do with your father leaving, Maya. All right? All this time she's just been protecting him for you." Shawn revealed the secret to Maya.
"Mom? You got left?" Maya asked shocked.
"I'm sorry," Katy said sadly.
"She's one of us," Shawn told Maya.
"Come here." Shawn motioned Katy to come to Maya.
Katy did as told.
"I couldn't afford to get you what you wanted without working a couple of extra shifts, but I got it, honey and Shawn helped me," Katy told Maya.
"A locket?" Maya asked with a smile.
"Yeah." Katy nodded.
"Where is it?" Maya asked.
"It's in my purse." Katy smiled.
"I'll get it." Shawn began going to Katy's purse.
"You can't go through my purse," Katy told him.
Shawn awkwardly stayed still.
The trio's eyes widened.
"Let him!" They said in unions.
Shawn got the locket out of Katy's purse. He gave it to Katy who put around Maya's neck.
Shawn grabbed his camera and took a photo of the mother-daughter duo.

Maya and her mom were in the kitchen talking and Topanga was getting the cake ready.
Shawn walked over to Cory.
"Did you see what I did there, Cor? I got Maya and her mother together." Shawn smiled.
"Yeah. You did great, Shawn." Cory smiled.
"Well, I'd be happy to include you in my next scheme," Shawn suggested.
"Sorry, buddy. I got me, new partners, now." Cory said as Riley and Elliot and came to his sides.
"So you're with them now, huh?" Shawn asked.
"Me and them. You're on your own." Cory told him.
"Come on! What fun is pulling off schemes by yourself?" Shawn asked as he made his towards Maya.
Katy was preparing the cake with Topanga now.
"Oh, it's you and me now?" Maya asked.
"Well, hey, I'm in the market for a new partner in crime," Shawn said as he sat next to Maya.
"Yeah, all right, I'll try you out and see how you do," Maya told him.
Shawn chuckled.
Topanga and Katy cams from the kitchen.
Topanga stood in the back with her family. Katy brought the cake with 14 candles on top.
"Cake time." Topanga smiled.
"Happy Birthday, baby girl." Katy smiled.
Shawn stood next to Katy.
"Make a wish," Elliot told Maya.
Maya smiled at her mom and Shawn, then blew out her candles.

Maya had the Matthews twins tied up.
"Wow. You're right. I can hardly move. I see why you were kind of furious at me and El...Uh-huh... Uh-huh. And I can see why you wanted to tie us up too, so we could share your experience. I understand that you want us to share every experience because we're friends, with friendship rings!" Riley smiled.
Maya just showed her friendship ring.
"Maya, could you at least say one word to us?" Riley asked.
"Goodnight." Maya smiled and left.
"My nose itches," Riley said as she put her head out the window.
Maya scratched Riley's nose.
"Thank you." Riley smiled.
"Happy Birthday my love!" Elliot shouted.

Chapter 18: The Master Plan: Was It Really A Fail?
My Girl's birthday just past. On her birthday The Sunshine decided that she wanted My Godfather to be her new dad. That would mean The Actress and My Godfather had to get together.
With all our help The Sunshine came up with The Master Plan. But I think the problem was we all gave up too quickly. The minute we saw My Godfather and The Actress fighting we gave up. What we failed to realize at that moment is that: People only get upset with each other when what they are talking about is important to them.
My Girl was important to them. She was one thing they had in common. There were also a number of other things. And because of that in the end, they came together to give My Girl the best birthday she ever had.
I personally think that if we give the two some time to bond and fall in love. Something magical might happen. And maybe that magic will give My Girl the hope she needs to believe in love. Even if it doesn't I just want her to be happy.
So what do you guys think Was The Master Plan really a fail?
