I hear a thunk and feel sticky wetness seep through my fingers. I feel my heart racing and I hear the breath leave Joseph as I stare into his hallow eyes. He's now one of those empty, pale husks stained in the crimson of war. I feel a giggle bubble in my throat. As soon as I do, I lunge at the next thing that moves. Instantaneously, my air is cut off and I'm pinned against the ground. All I can do is laugh at the irony of how I just killed the enemy and now my friends turned on me thinking I'm the enemy. If only they knew.
Slowly my vision fades and my laugh fades.
I feel myself go limp.
I fall into oblivion.
