IN REAL LIFE.
two and a half hours later and lexi has finally decided what she was going to wear. she had picked out a black dress which had sparkles all around it and she paired it up with her favourite pair of black high heels. in front of her was a worried kenzie, pacing back and forth.
"what if he doesn't show up? is she gonna hate me if he does? is anybody even gonna show up at my party?" kenzie mumbled to herself as she walked back and forth.
lexi stood up and held kenzie's shoulders. "i don't know what's wrong with you but everything's going to be okay trust me" lexi said as she gave her best friend a reassuring smile. kenzie smiled and gave lexi a hug.
"i'm sorry, it's just been a while since i held a party and i'm kinda nervous. about everything" kenzie said, emphasising the word 'everything'. lexi held kenzie's hand and pulled her away from her room. "come on let's take some photos before johnny and the crowd arrives" lexi said with excitement. kenzie smiled at her over enthusiastic best friend and followed her to the backyard.

IN REAL LIFE.
after an hour, the crowd started flowing in and the party began. the speakers were playing and everybody was dancing and jamming along to the greatest tunes. you can see people making left and right. kenzie and johnny being one of the few people. lexi was dancing with emily and eden, two of her closest friends.
"hey guys, i'm going to get a drink. do you guys want some?" lexi asked her friends. the pair of girls shook their heads and continued dancing. lexi laughed and shook her head before making her way to the kitchen. after shoving her way through the crowd, she finally found her way to the kitchen, not before cursing under her breath multiple times at the amount of sweaty teenagers she had to bump into.
she took a plastic red solo cup from a small table which kenzie had set up and began to pour herself a glass of fruit punch. she didn't like drinking alcohol, especially when there's a crowd. while lexi was pouring the punch into her cup, she felt a pair of eyes staring at her. she cleared her throat and turned around to face this particular pair of eyes.
"joey?!"
