Chapter Fourteen

"Come on man, it's been years since she left and here you are in her room still crying" Ryan spoke to me from the doorway of my twin sister's room. I wiped a stray tear away from my cheek and looked at a picture of my sister, the last one she was in. It was a picture of her and me when we were five. Kaily was on my back with her arms wrapped around my neck, we both had huge grins on our faces.
Although it's been four years since Kaily left, it hasn't been easy. I miss her more than anything and wish I could tell her how sorry I was for the way we treated her. I miss her rare smile, laughs, and the way she bit her nails whenever she saw something she didn't like. I miss everything about her. If there was a way to travel back in time, I would do anything to change the way I treated her, protected her like a brother should have.
I mean I'm her twin brother. We've been together since birth, we have always been together. From the first breath. How could I treat like that knowing she is my twin my other half? The worst part of her leaving us was not knowing if she was alive or not. I just wish she would send us a letter or any kind of sign that showed us that she was alive, but to be honest, I don't expect her to.
A lot changed after she left. After about a month or two after her leaving we got a new Luna... Shelly. Although she's a bitch we can't say anything about it, knowing Leo would get pissed at whoever said anything against her.
Ever, since Kaily left Leo has been a mess. He was quieter, only when his father pressured him into getting a Luna for the pack to make us stronger did he mark Shelly, as a last resort. I can't believe the moon goddess picked him as our sister's mate. She deserves someone better than him. Someone that will cherish her forever.
He seemed hollow, depressed even after his mating with Shelly, which was odd considering a wolf usually got stronger even if they didn't mark their true mate.
"Her name is Kaily" I back snap at Ryan, coming out of a daze "How many times have I told you to call her by her name!"
"Look, dude I get it that she is your sister, but I wasn't the only one that slapped her around it was all of us so get off your high horse and admit it. It was your fault that she left too. We weren't the only ones that put her down, you were a part of it" He growled back at me.
I couldn't deny that so I stayed quite. I knew I was a part of the reason she left, hell it was everyone here. Even though I said all those bad things to her she's still my twin and I love her. I still remember the day she left.
~Flashback~
It was the night of Leo birthday party, we hadn't seen her anywhere, and which wasn't a surprise seeing as Leo's parents had told her to stay away from us. I had been feeling off for a while then. So I started to drink; even then I couldn't shake the bad feeling off. So I grabbed a slut, and headed up to my room. I opened my door while still kissing the bleach blond then suddenly Kaily popped into my head. I pushed the slut away from me.
"Baby what's wrong" she asked in a fake concerned voice. My face hardened.
"Get out of my room" I say in a deadly tone that made that blond look like she was going to piss in her non-existent skirt. She ran out of the room. I sighed and flipped off the light switch and flopped onto my bed.
I woke up early the next morning, only to find that Aaron and Adam were up. Which was surprising since me and Celeste were the only early birds in our family. We looked at each other as if we were one of mind we made our way to her room. I wonder what it looks like I never actually been inside her room before.
We headed downstairs shocked to find that it was a cell room. We looked at each other shocked, is this where Kaily slept at night? I worriedly started to walk around the cells only finding one cell that looked lived in. Adam got impatient and worried and kicked the cell door open. When we looked in the room I was instantly pale, was my sister, my twin sister actually living in this cell?
It was no bigger than a shoe closet and only had a mattress on the floor, a mirror on the wall, a desk where I noticed the packs homework laid, and a couple of empty first-aid kits on the floor. Then I noticed there weren't any clothes in the room and the window was open. I sniffed the air and my suspicion was confirmed.
"Do you guys think she........?" I whispered silently breaking apart inside. I clutched the necklace she gave me in my fist, she is my twin my other half I can't live without her she's always been there, when I needed someone to talk to she was always there
Aaron was pale and he looked so shocked at angry at himself, he started yelling looking like he was dying. He was the one who caused her the most pain out of the three of us, but he really cared about her. He was overprotective of her; he never let a guy around her if they had any intention of..... Raping her. That was the only thing we protected her from.
I felt Adam slide down the wall next to me. "I-I can't believe she left"
"Open your eyes Adam! Look at all of those first-aid kits on the floor, do you think Kaily would need so much medical help if she was okay!?" I yell at him. My eyes turning pitch-black. "And the funny thing is, is that we helped cause our baby sister pain!"
He looked down silent tears slid down his face from his guilt filled eyes, in defeat.
I sat with my legs out stretched before me. "We have to go after her" whispered Aaron determinedly. Adam and I nodded our heads in agreement. "Adam you go ahead and start on the search, while me and Axle go tell Leo" I stood up in anger.
"NO! She is MY Twin sister I will go look for her" I growled at Aaron. My wolf on edge from Kaily leaving, our wolves are really close since we are twins, our bond was like a mating bond, but it is more of a familial bond. MUST GET BACK REYA, Reya is Kaily's wolfs name.
"NO! You're coming with me and that's that" Aaron ordered in his firm, sad laced beta tone, you could feel the sorrow rolling off him in waves. I nodded my head reluctantly to emotional empty to fight. I followed Aaron up while Adam slipped out of the front door following her scent. Adam was the best tracker in our pack if he couldn't find her, no one could.
We rushed up the stairs and started to pound on Leo's door.
"What is it" he groaned out from the other side of the door. I scowled at his tone of voice; here we are wasting our time when we could be searching for Kaily!
"It's Kaily, Alpha......." Aaron began taking a deep breath that shook his whole body "She....she...missing" he said. The door flew open with such force that the door was pulled from its hinges.
"She's what" Leo growled out, eyes turn a dangerous pitch black.
"She ran away" I hoarsely said not even pretending to look unconcerned anymore, the grief was too hard to hold back.
"Go find her! NOW!!!" Leo growled out looking at Aaron. Aaron headed out, Leo followed behind close, but I pulled him back "What are you doing? Stop holding me back we need to find and get Kaily back here now!" Leo snarled at me sadness, regret, and sorrow deeply shown in his eyes.
"Why do you care so much?" I asked suspiciously. He stopped his eyes turning back to a light grey.
"I don't" He spat threw gritted teeth.
"Please tell me she's my twin sister, please!'' I begged. He stopped, his shoulders tensed.
"She's my mate" He told me. Aaron abruptly stopped in place; he turned around and glared at Leo his eyes turning black.
"Tell me you didn't" he growled at him. Growling with him my canines flashing. He didn't flinch, his eyes glazed over in pain and regret. Aaron launched himself at Leo snarling at him, pinning him against the wall.
"I will kill you if anything happened to her! And when we get her back you will never go near her again!" Aaron menacingly growled at Leo. Leo's eyes turned darker with anger.
"You will not keep MY MATE way from me!!" ordered Leo his wolf evident in his voice. His face contorted in pain, anger, and contempt from the thought of someone keeping his mate away from him.
"I will, you were the one that rejected her and I'll be damned to let you near her again! Mark my words Alexander" I snarled at him, and with that I and Kyle walked off in search of our little sister.
~Flashback Over~
We never found her that night Leo in a fit of rage took Shelly up to his room and had sex with her. When I find my sister I will never, never allow him near my sister. And with that thought I headed downstairs.
Our pack has fallen into a deep sleep like state. After Kaily left everything just fell apart. I had no idea how much she did for us until I saw the first set of bills that came after she left. As it seems, Kaily had been the one to financially hold us up, creating allowance's for all of the teenagers and grown-ups.
I now know why she got more stressed when one of us bought a new sports car. She would have to find money somewhere to pay everything off that went to the payment of the car.
I remember now why we bought all of those cars in the first place.
"So we don't seem weak"
That excuse sounds so pathetic to me now I can't believe that I actually thought spending money like drinking water would make us seem strong when really it destroyed us.
We're finally getting financially better thanks to Leo, he's been working really hard to get the pack to where it stood before when Kaily was here. I think he hopes that if Kaily sees how much time and sweat he put into the pack she will come running into his arms. Seeing how much he worked for the pack and for her, in her absence.
And me and my brothers just hope that she comes back. If she ever does we're never letting her go.
