Three weeks later
Two weeks before the battle
"Amy come here for a second." Grandma Heather says.
"Yes."
"There's something I have to tell you. I um don't know how to but here it goes, the witch is planning to come back and fight you."
"The witch, THE WITCH, you mean the witch that put that dumb ass spell on my family."
"Yes and watch your mouth. There's not telling when but I know that she planning soon faster than expected. So we need you to practice your powers all week. And all day today. So cancel any plans you have."
"Ok I didn't know being a witch would mess up my social life." I said
"Oh don't worry you're killing the first witch on our side. Which means if you kill the witch than all power will die on this family and we won't be witches anymore. All this magic problems and curses will be gone. You can live a happy life with Luis, that's why its so important that you do this."
"But if I do this will my parents go back?"
"I'm afraid so."
"No I'm not risking their lives again."
"But they were already dead. And you won't be alone you'll have Michael any other good powerful witches and maybe even a few friends."
"Well I don't have friends anymore. Turns out I gotta get them drunk for them to tell me the truth."
"Well you're gonna need some support."
"I know you're all I need. You, Michael mom, dad, and Aunt Carol. And Luis. But that's it."
"Well I didn't mean to put this stress on you right before you go to school."
"Wait, I'm still going to school?!"
"School is a plan you can't cancel."
"And so is this battle!"
"Good point but you're still going." She says with a smile.
"UUGHHHGGGGHH!" I shout as I leave the house. Then I shut up because I saw Luis!
"Need a ride?" He says with a smirk.
I just smile and hop onto his car. Then he kisses me. "Ok so first thing first. I have to cancel everything this week."
"What?! Even our date we're having?" He asked
"I know, I know don't remind me. But there's something I gotta do."
"You have to do something more important than going to a five star restaurant."
"Yes."
"Well what is it?" He asked me.
"Do you really wanna know?"
"Yes."
"Ok. So the witch that cursed us is coming back and us planning this battle with my family and so I need to practice my powers and magic before she gets here."
He just sits there driving in silence. Then he finally says, "So this witch thing doesn't creep you put cause it creeps me out a lot."
"Don't worry once I defeat her then all magic will be gone the witches magic and powers will be free. And I will be the girl you met at the party near the punch bowl again."
"Amy, you still are that girl."
"Aww! Thanks, but I don't wanna die before the battle so keep your eyes on the road."
At school.
"Amy!" Tanya and Zoey both shout but I ignore them. And walk fast.
"So you're finally ignoring the two most annoying people in this school. So does this mean you have no where to sit again other than with your bf." Melony says.
"Yes... it does. You know what I should be enjoying high school right?"
"Totally."
"I should be going to parties making parties hell I should be the party. But then you gotta think oh wait that's the girl that lost both here parents."
"Wait you lost both of them?"
"Yea but it's ok cause they came back. But anyway you want me to sit at your table?" I said leaving her kind of confused.
"Yes please because when you rejected me that really hurt my heart."
"Then it's done I'll sit with you and your posey."
"Really?!" She sqeals.
"Yea and this time I won't back out."
"Your amazeballs. But if your gonna sit at my table you gotta get a makeover. Then we went to the bathroom. Out everyone get out its time for makeover."
All of her possy came into the bathroom and started doing my makeup. They put light and dark blue eyeshadow on my eyes and light red blush on my cheek bone. They also put mascara and eyeliner on my eyes. Then Melony came with the curling wand.
"Oh no I don't curl my hair." I try says but then she starts to curl it. I wasn't too curly it was just a wavy look. Then I looked in the mirror and saw how I looked. "Oh.. My ... God. I look like a totally different person."
"In a good way right?" Melony says.
LIn the best way! Thank you so much!" I said than I huged her. It was a spare of the moment hug. Then we walked out the bathroom. Again, everyone was staring at me like I was a new girl. But I feel like I am. I was in the front with Melony and we were just sucking up all the stares and compliments. And then I passed Zoey and Tanya. They're mouths wide open as their eyes stare.
"I feel famous". I whisper to Melony.
"Yea well get use to it. I mean only of you wanna be a permanent "it" girl."
"I would love to but in like three weeks I have some stuff I need to take care of in three weeks so I need three weeks off. Not counting today."
"Yea sure. You know I never thought that we would even be talking to each other. Soon you'll be sitting with us. That's crazy. We're like..... friends."
"Yea well what can I say." Then the bell rung and we all spit up to go to our classes.
Teacher Mrs. Amber: "Ok I have one question for yall what is with these teens and their mini shirts and mini skirts and saggy pants that show your whole butt?"
Student, Anna: it's sexy and attractive.
Mrs. Amber: Yea it can look sexy and attractive but it leaves that slutty image. Do you girls wanna be known as sluts?
Student, Michelle: No we wanna be known as the girl who can get the "D" is they wanted.
After that I blocked out everything because all I felt was Luis's hand on rubbing against my thigh. So I look at him. And the he give me a wink and smile. We were having a conversion with our eyes. I was saying stop and be was saying stop what and I was saying you know what I'm talking about and he was saying Nope not a clue. Then I would say get your hand away from my thigh. And then he would just give me that look that says no thanks and winks again. Then our convo was interrupted by Mrs.Amber.
Mrs. Amber: Amy!
"Yes Mrs. Amber?"
"Is your eye convo more important than my lesson?"
"Let me not answer that."
"Excuse me?"
Then I give her my innocent smile and say, "No it's not." I accidentally said with sarcasm.
"Oh that is it. Your butt is in the principals office. Take everything with you." Then all the instagaters say "oooooo."
At principal office.
"So why is one of my best students in the principals office? I hope it's for like a pencil." The principal Rodrigues says.
"I'm afraid it's not, the bitchy teacher who thinks she knows it all sent me here."
"Ok. Um can you tell me a name?"
"Mrs. Amber. She sent me here because my eyes were being too loud."
"What?"
"Yea, I was having an eye convo with my boyfriend and she got mad and sent me here. That's basically what happened."
"Um ok. Well then just sit here for 5 minutes." He instructs.
"Ok. I'm fine with that."
Five minutes later.
Back in class.
Mrs.Amber: why are you back so fast.
"I only had to stay for five minutes."
"Well then sit and don't speak." She spats.
"Do I look like a dog to you?"
"No but you're acting like one now go to your seat and don't disrupt this class again.!"
"See you got this tone in your voice and I don't understand it."
"That is it! Your ass is suspended!"After she said that I froze the whole room. Than I unfroze Luis.
"What the hell?" Luis says as he's starts freaking out.
"I froze the room. With my powers she was getting on my goddamn nerves."
"Ok now unfreeze her!"
"Not just yet, this teacher deserves a whooping. So I'm gonna slap her a couple of times to make sure she gets the pain." And I start slapping her. Each one gets harder and harder.
"Ok you can stop now." He says after the 100th slap.
"Fine." I said than I went back to where I was and he went back to where he was. Then I unfroze the room.
"Owe. Why does my face hurt like hell."
Student: It's turning red.
"Owe. Shit."
"Foul language. I wander what the principal and school district will think of that." I said as I shook my head.
"Look I have no time for your shit. I think I need to go to the hospital." Mrs. Ambers cries.
"You do that." I said then I went to my seat. Then I kissed Luis. We basically madeout in front of everyone. Then the principal walked in.
"Ok so shes going to the hospital. And so I'm gonna teach. What does she teach exactly?"
"How to better ourselves." Anne says.
"Oh ok none of that, how about this be your free period." Then everyone says Yea!! But me and Luis are still making out. And then he comes up to us and taps us on the shoulder.
"Um you guys this is school so do that another time."
"Sure. Principal Rodrigues have you ever had that feeling when you just have to kiss this person." Luis asked
"Yea."
"That's what we're feeling. So can we continue?"
"No."
"Ok." Luis replies and I giggle.
After school.
Michael comes up to me.
"Amy, Me and you gotta go straight home. Grandma's orders!"
"Damn it!" I said.
"What is that on your face. And your hair?"
"What?"
"The blue and the red and the black and the curlyness."
"Oh it's just a makeover. Melony did it."
" Ok. So now your friends with Melony." He said.
"Well not friends more like aquantences but I'm gonna be sitting with the popular for now on. Well in three weeks."
"Oh so now you're one of them."
"Can you drive faster? Please." I said trying to shut him up. Then finally we were at home.
"Amy Michael no time for any school work we have to practice hold my hand." she tells us.
"Where are we going?" I asked her.
To the underworld.
"What!" I said put we had already disappeared into the underworld.
"Now what we are gonna do is fight of the lower level demons. But as your powers grow so will the levels." Grandma says, then she turns to look at a demon and says, "Hey! You!?! Yea you demon. You looking for a fight?"
Demon: Good witches. He says in disgust.
"Amy explode him!" Grandma says.
"What?!"
"Just do it!" After she said that her threw a red fire ball at me I put my hand up to block it but I accidentally used my powers to explode him while I was screaming.
"Good job Amy." Michael and grandma shouted.
"But I don't know how I did it."
"Doesnt matter. What matters it that you got him. Michael this demon is for you. His name is Zorra."
"Hello Zorra are you ready to die?" Michael says.
Demon: what?
"Michael now!" We both shouted. Then he exploded him up too.
"I was terrified!" He yells. Then 49 more demons come up.
"Amy, Michael get ready for this semi battle with demons." Grandma says than we look as we saw them.
"Holy shit." Michael says. And I just look at him with shock. Then they started fighting. I just stood there in shock watch my grandmother and my brother kick ass. Michael kneed one demon in the nuts then ripped him arm off. Then he grabbed the other demons arm and ripped it off and then hit them both in the head with it and the got knocked out. Then I saw my grandma kicking ass. As she was using her powers to hang them around and pick them up without touching them and then moving them with her eyes. But for some reason seeing them fighting made me mad. It was a feeling I haven't felt before it was like anger and madness.started burning up inside of me and then I burst out screaming "STOP!" and it echoed throughout the whole underworld and up it even started a little earthquake as I said it. And the demons obeyed. They even bowed down to me. I just looked at them weirdly. Then I said, "you will not fight. You will go away ashamed and kill yourselves and if you disobey me you will have to pay."
After I said that they all did exactly as told. I was so freaked out and so was my brother and My grandma.
"But it can't be." Grandma says.
"What can't be because I really don't understand any of this. Am I evil? Is that why I could control them?"
"You're not evil and you're not good. You are the present equalizer."
"I'm a what now?" This whole this has my brain scrambled.
"Equalizer. It's when evil and good is tied up in one. But that's not it. Your the most power witch in history. We had one once. And that's the witch that cast the spell on this family." Oh and now she's coming back soon it'll be the same level of power against each other. But with Me and Michael we might be able to defeat her once and for all.
"Is it natural to be very nervous that you might have a heart attack. I don't think I can do this. I mean I had no time to prepare for this part of my life. I use to be that girl that was sweet and innocent and didn't wanna hurt anyone. Got good grades was respectful to everyone and wasn't thinking about love and sex and love. And I had friends. But that all changed. My life is crazy because of this and to be honest I don't wanna do this. But I know I have to. For the sake of love and my childrens futures and for so many more reasons. But it all comes down to me."
"Don't stress it honey. It's all gonna be fine. Everything that needs to happen will happen."
"Yea and even if we don't defeat her I'll still love you. Even if you're dead."Michael said.
"Thanks but You're not helping."
"Well let's get outta here because if we stay we might die." Grandma says.
At home.
"So Michael you have the power of strength and energy. Amy you just git the power. You have all power you are the source if power and control. That's mind control self control any type of control. But be careful the power can suck you up with it."
One week later.
"Amy, Michael is time to get up." Grandma says. I groan because I didn't wanna get up.
"Come on it's time to go demon hunting." Grandma says.
"No we did it all last week." I said tiredly
"Yep and we're not gonna stop until the witch comes. But yall powers have gotten very powerful. You're ready for the high class demons." As she says the ground started shaking. The clouds grew grey and wind started blowing extra wild.
"She's here."
