The sun was rising by the time we landed in Tucson. The air was hummed as the smell of rain filled the air. The roads were wet from their recent rainfall. That worried me. What if the hunters left and took Dimitri with them? Did we wait too long to get here? So many questions ran through my head as we got into the black SUV that had gone to pick us up.
"Alpha Logan and beta Lane have already left to the wear house," the driver said as he drove down the road, "He said to bring you there as soon as you land"
"How far are we from the wear house?" Xander asked form the passenger's seat since Sage and Gabriel were in the back with me
"About 20 minutes give or take" the driver, who's name I still didn't know, said as he made a left turn getting on the highway before driving down a dirt path and before we knew it, he was stopping several feet away from a tall building and getting out. We soon followed his lead and got out of the car and filled him towards the woods to the right where we were met with who I assume was Alpha Logan.
"Hello, Alpha Bennet?" He asked as he reached his hand for me to shake and I nodded, "I'm Logan. I spoke with you a few hours ago in regards of my tracker finding the hunters hideout"
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Alpha Logan. This is the former Alpha, Xander King and his two youngest sons Sage and Gabriel. Have you got any news in regards to the hunters?" I asked introducing Dimitri's father and brothers
"My brother, Lane and beta Brett are at the entrance of the warehouse and said that the house is currently empty," Alpha Logan said and we nodded before going over to a tent that had been set up. There was a table in the middle that had the blueprints of the building.
"What's this area you had marked with an X?" Xander asked
"We believe that's a room where they're keeping a hostage though we don't know who it may be. It could be another wolf or Alpha Dimitri" a woman said, she looked like the alpha standing beside me, "My name is Rachel by the way, I'm Alpha Logan's sister. I have a few of the guys scattered around the perimeter of the land and they'll be getting back to us when they see a hunter return"
"How many hunters have been spotted?" Montana asked as she walked up to us with the rest of the pack. My friends, Chris, Brett, and Morgan had all joined us when word got out that I was going to be coming to Tucson to get Dimitri back. They had all refused to stay back down saying that Dimitri was now a friend and that they needed to help get him back.
"As of now Jonah, one do the trackers, said that there are roughly 50 hunters around the area but he's only seen 20 inside the building but he said that they're getting ready to go out"
"Then what are we waiting for? We have enough wolves here to kill those hunters and rescue Dimitri" I said but the Alpha shook his head
"Even if we do, there's a high chance that they have set traps that can be deadly to us," Alpha Logan said and I watched as Dimitri's father and brothers paced at his words, "We need to think of a strategy before we go in their head-on"
"Then what do you suggest we do? Sit around and do nothing when my son could be dead?" Xander asked as he looked at the man in front of us, and I felt my heart sink at his words as Bailey whimpered in my head
>We need to go in there regardless< Bailey said as he paced in my head
>even so, Bailey. Alpha Logan is right< i said and he groaned, >I know you want to go in and get Dimitri back but we have to listen to what Alpha Logan says. Hunters are men that are always prepared for anything and who knows what they may have set up in these types of situations< he huffed but nodded in understanding and I looked at the man that has given me hope that my mate was alive by giving us the news of spotting hunters out here.
"What do you suggest we do now?" I asked and they looked at me, "I understand that there may be traps set out but how long are we supposed to wait until we hear back from one of your trackers about the place being safe for us to go in and search for my mate?"
He zoned out for a moment before he blinked his eyes shaking his head, "My beta just contacted me stating that the house is vacant but he's going to do a walkthrough to see if there are any traps inside before we go in" he replied and I nodded
>We spotted three hunters in the south side of the lands hunting< Brett said through the link and I gave him a mental nod
"My brother said that he, his group and his guide spotted three hunters in the south end of the land," I said and Logan nodded
"Brett just mind linked me saying that house is clear of traps," Rachel said refocusing in on the group and I had to remember that the Beta's name was also Brett like my brother.
"So what's the plan now?" Sage asked as he looked at the group
"We go on, search the house and get whoever is inside out before the hunters arrive," Logan said but before we could think of going to the house Logan cursed
"What?" I asked as we looked at him
"Brett just mind linked me saying that three hunters just entered the house looking for another hunter that must've staid back with the prisoner" he replied and I ran my fingers through my hair
"That doesn't matter. Three hunters won't stop us" Gabriel said and I agreed with him this time. We were so close on finding Dimitri that this won't change anything
"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked and I nodded
"I'm this close in getting my mate back, I'm not going to wait until they leave again to get him. Who knows that if we wait any more that they could kill him" I said and he nodded
"Very well" Logan replied before his eyes zoned out meaning he was in contact with his pack that was surrounding the perimeter, "my pack will keep an eye out on the hunters on their side of the perimeter and will contact me if they see them leaving"
We made our way towards the building and hid so we couldn't be detected by the hunters that were inside.
"BOBBY!" I could hear a hunter yelling and sneered, "BOBBY!"
The hunters behind him looked at each other in confusion as they couldn't understand why their friend wasn't responding to his name being called.
The smell of blood lingered in the air and made my heart race in my chest at the thought that it could be Dimitri's. I could hear more voices asking what was with all the yelling before they were running downstairs.
>Don't think that way Benny< Montana's voice said and I looked to my side to see her and Jeremy standing behind me >Dimitri wouldn't have gone down without a fight and you know that< I nodded my ear in agreement before we barged into the house. Hunters screamed as we Vance dubbed door open before we were being shot at.
"what are you idiots waiting for? Shoot him!" I heard from downstairs from the same man from before.
"WE ARE NOT LEAVING THIS PLACE WITHOUT MY MATE SO SEARCH EVERY SINGLE ROOM IN THIS BUILDING UNTIL HE'S FOUND!" I yelled
"YES ALPHA!" The pack yelled as gunfire and screams filled the air followed by doors banging open and shutting
"Boss?"
"Shut up!" Rick yelled making his men jump at his outburst
Montana and Jeremy followed me as I went downstairs and we searched every room until we rounded the corner and saw a door open with three hunters standing outside
"Fucking bastard" hunter 1 snarled making the man inside at his words and the closer we got, the more Dimitri's scent began to fill my nose and I could feel Bailey in my head pushing to take over so I let him as we heard, "I'm going to kill you if it's the last thing I do"
BAILEY'S POV
"I would love to see you try, human," I said as I stood behind the hunter with Montana and Jeremy at my sides, "You took the wrong wolf's mate, human and for that, you're going to pay" I punched a hole through his chest and watched him fall to the ground in a pool of blood with his heart in my hand.
"No one messes with my mate and gets away with it" I snarled, once Montana and Jeremy had killed the other hunters, I ran towards Dimitri, Fuck I thought I'd never see you again"
I never thought I'd ever feel his arms around me like this. It's been too long. I felt my eyes sting as he held me closer.
"And I thought I'd never see you again" he whispered, his voice cracking
"I hate to break your reunion but we need to get going. Riley just mind linked saying that there are more hunters approaching" Jeremy said and we pulled away nodding
"Okay".
We made it upstairs before we left the building missing the hunters by seconds. We met up with Logan and his pack along with the rest of our pack including his brothers and father who all circled him and hugged him saying how much they missed him.
They didn't hurt you did they?" Xander asked as we drove towards Logan's packhouse so that his doctor could check Dimitri over before we flew back home.
"No" he replied but something told me that he was hiding something. The way his jaw and fists clenched at his father's question. The way he has quickly pulled away from him and his brothers told me that something had happened to him while he was captive.
>give me back control Bailey< Bennett said and I clenched my jaw but nonetheless gave him control of his body back to him.

I linked my fingers with Dimitri's and he looked down and I gave him a small smile that he returned as he leaned over kissing the top of my head before his arm was pulling me closer to him.
"How far are we from your house, Alpha Logan?" Dimitri questioned
"Not far, we're about ten minutes away" he replied and we nodded. The driver that had taken Sage, Gabriel, Xander and I to the warehouse had taken Lane, Brett, and Rachel who had gone with Logan. He had offered to take us back to the house with Xander in the passenger' a sear leaving Dimitri and me in the backseat.
Just as Logan had said that we were exiting the main road and entering a long winding dirt road before he was stopping in front of a beautiful home. Standing outside was a young man with two small boys at his sides and a baby in his arms.
We got out and Logan quickly walked over to the make taking one of the small boys into his arms making the child beam and call him Papa.
"Babe I want you to meet Alpha Dimitri and Bennett and with them are the former Alpha, Mr. Xander," Logan said to the male who gave us a strange look before he smiled when I saw something in his eyes click, "and alphas this is my mate Hunter and our three kids. Twins Kyler and Kenny and daughter Sierra"
"It's nice to meet you" the male, Hunter, said with a smile as he held out his hand for us to shake and I watched Dimitri clench his jaw before slowly lifting his hand to shake his before he was lowering it again then Xander and I shook his hand
"Though we hope it could have been under different circumstances," Dimitri said and the couple exchanged looks before leading us inside and towards the infirmary.
