So I was babysitting and I took the kid shopping with me (he's almost 3) and I found a Captain America stuffed toy, he found an iron Man one. He chose iron man over Captain America and I was shookth (BUT I LOVE IRON MAN BUT COME ON CAP IS OBVIOUSLY MY FAVORITE BECAUSE I WRITE A DAUGHTER SERIES FFS) and I totally didn't buy the cap one for myself...totally
"But I'm not a kid!" I argued with my dad, they were about to leave to get Ultron.
"You're like nine." Tony butted in.
"Excuse me! I'm fourteen and technically old enough to be your grandmother!" I yelled. "Respect your elders." I crossed my arms.
"Enough." Dad stopped me. "You're a kid, you have no training and you pass out when you use your newfound powers...it's not safe."
"But-"
"No means no, now stay here with Bruce." He put his shield on his back and walked out the quinjet.
"It's okay kid, wanna play uno?" Bruce pulled out the cards.
"Typical."

Bruce places down a yellow and I pulled out a reverse card. "Ha uno." I had one card left. He put down a color card and picked blue.
"That was the worst choice ever." I put down the blue card I had. "I win!"
Some commotion was heard over the coms in the speakers. "What's going on?"
We both walked over. "Guys, is this a Code Green?" Bruce asked.
"Or a code Elsa?" I joked. Bruce just looked at me.
"I'm kidding."
"Thor! Status?" Dad asked.
"The girl tried to warp my mind. Take special care, I doubt a human could keep her at bay. Fortunately, I am mighty." He replied and went silent.
"Hazel, there's someone out there." Bruce was looking out.
"I'll handle it, no need for a code green."
"Don't use your powers, you'll pass out."
"I have super strength you know." I rolled my eyes and walked out.
"Hey red queen, what's the stitch?" I stood at the entrance to the quinjet.
"I don't have time for kiddish jokes." She didn't stop walking towards me. She had a strong accent.
"Well I don't have time for you so can fuck right off." I gripped the hand gun that Natasha gave to me in emergencies.
"No." She raised her and and red started circling around my head.
I shut my eyes and reopened them. I wasn't in Wakanda anymore.
I was in my old room. My old old room that was more like a cage.
I took a breath. The window was still open from when I escaped that night.
"Hazel Black." I heard a menacing voice.
"I'm not her anymore." I replied.
"But you are, And will always be." Phillip came out from the shadows.
"You don't have power over me." I gulped and backed up. "I'm stronger now..and you're not real."
He touched my cheek gently. "Then how can I touch you?"
I slapped his hand off and swung my fist.
He caught it. "You have balls now." He laughed and pushed me against the wall. "Young you lacked that."
I shut my eyes. "You're not real."
"Are you afraid of yourself?" The voice changed. Phillip wasn't holding me against the wall now. It was my mother. Julienne.
"You're dead." I pushed her off. "He killed you."
"You didn't you?" She grabbed my hair and forcefully moved my head to the side.
The room changed and I was in the hydra base, where I went under.
I saw myself shoot Julienne in the head.
"It's inevitable Hazel." She spoke in my ear. "You cannot escape what's meant to happen."
"Get off!" I kicked her. She turned into dust and I was alone in a dark room.
"Hazel."
That's my voice, and she looks just like me.
"I'm not listening to you." I replied.
"You're weak."
Nope, not listening to the lies.
"Phil would have lived if you were good enough."
"Stop!" I covered my ears.
"Peggy would still be with you if you could've fought back."
I screamed as loud as I could.
"They all would be alive if you didn't fail."
The bodies of everyone were around me.
"I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right... yet to fail, nonetheless."
I couldn't see the source of the voice.
"It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. I ask you, to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say... I AM."
"Get AWAY FROM ME!" I screamed and around me everything was exploding into cold Ice.
My feet were swept out from under me, my back hit cold water.
I was submerged, there's was no surface.
I screamed under water, hoping for some air or warmth.
My back hit the ground. I curled into a ball.
"Don't hurt me anymore!" I sobbed.
Gentle arms engulfed me. "Darling." A soft voice spoke. I know that voice. "The horror that you've seen is not who you are."
I opened my eyes. Peggy was holding me.
"Shh. It's okay." She stroked my hair.
I sobbed, harder then I every had. Into her shirt.
"I want to go home, please." I hugged her tighter.
"Hazel." Her voice sounded disoriented.
"Peggy?"
"Hazel." My eyes snapped back. I was on the quinjet, Dad was holding me.
I blinked and hugged him tighter. "You promised."
"Hazel what did you see?" He shook my shoulders. The avengers were all on board. They all looked haunted by something.
They saw things too.
"Hazel what you saw wasn't real." He held me.
I shook my head and just sobbed into his uniform.
All my worst fears came true in that vision.

I sat in my seat with a blanket around me. The witch girl got to Bruce and he messed up some city.
Clint and Tony didn't get horrifying visions. How lucky.
I didn't feel like talking it out. I want to TAKE it out on something.
I'm going to kill Ultron.

Third Person POV
Hazel was curled into a ball, outside the quinjet.
"Don't hurt me anymore!" She sobbed.
Everyone was walking back. Steve her small form cowering.
"Hazel?!" He ran quick, his heart was pounding.
Steve scooped her up, she cried into his shirt. "Shh, it's okay." He carried her into the quinjet. The others came running but saw that she wasn't harmed.
"Cap, The enhanced female got to her." Tony kneeled down, handing Steve a blanket.
"I want to go home, please!"
Steve's heart ached, he failed to protect her and he has no idea what she's seeing.
Steve knows her fears and her past. "Hazel." He said softly. His eyes were almost brought to tears. No father wants to see their child like this.
"Peggy?" She started coming back to reality.
"Hazel."
That's all he could say.
His daughter was hurt.
He broke his promise of protection.
