He enters the dim room and stops
I shut my eyes close, pretending to be deep in sleep
I can feel him removing his armour and putting down his swords as the metals clink
I hear his sighs, his groans and his hurried pace around the room as he unwinds

Ivar's POV
These metals around my body makes my biceps sore
I pull out a stool and sit on it while I remove my muddy boots
"Fuck..." is what I keep saying to myself
The rain has stopped and the moon has appeared
Damn I hate the English weather the same way I hate the English people.
I see her body in the moonlight, perfectly sculpted by her sculptor
"Oww!" I say as my eyebrow bleeds but it's last of my concern
"Should have buried him alive there, piece of shit" I mutter to my self
I look at her again as I remove my mud ridden clothes , how flawlessly she is pretending to be asleep.

He groans a little and all I want to do is ask him what is hurting him?
But I don't, as I squeeze my eyes shut
Scared to even breathe
He climbs in the bed and says something in norse language and lies down
Him and I, only inches away from each other on the bed
But miles away emotionally...

My eyebrow hurts
My jaw hurts

My heart hurts
I turn a little towards her as I see her
Her body rises and falls with every breath that she takes
Her brown locks falling so perfectly on the bed and that dress
Damn that black lace dress, makes me want to tear it apart with my teeth.

Nova's POV
My heart races a little faster when he shifts his body towards me
But then he lies there quietly
All I want to do is turn around and talk to him
But I feel it's a bad Idea right now, Nothing he says can ever fix what he has already broken
He puts his right hand on my waist and pulls me closer
"Oh Good Lord" I think to myself
"Nova?" He asks sweetly
"Don't pretend to sleep, you are a really bad actor" Ivar says as he buries his face in my hair to smell them
"I don't wish to speak" I says as I move my body away, with my eyes still closed
"You have to" Ivar says and pulls me back again
"No!" I protest as I finally open my eyes to see him
His eyebrow bleeds as I see bruises in his jaw
"Ivar!! What happened?" I shriek as I get up on the bed
"Shhh" He says, "It's nothing"
"Your eye.." I say as I touch his face gently and he closes his eyes, smiling
"What happened?" I ask as I cusp his face in my hands
He takes my hands and kisses it but doesn't answer
"Ivar?" I ask
"Just a dog attack" He smiles as he falls back on his pillow and looks up
"A dog attacked you?" I ask as I get up and drench a washcloth in the water
"Yes, a pale bastard of a dog" He laughs
"Ivar, oh you are bleeding so much" I say as I sit on his side and dab his blood soaked eyebrows with a washcloth
"You are overreacting" He says
"Do shut up" I say as I analyse his wounds
"I won't" He says as he teases
After cleaning the wound I get up and clean the cloth, I see his bleeding has stopped but in the morning he may need some stitches
"Come here" He says as he gestures me to come near him
I ignore his gesture and crawl back in my side of bed to sleep
"If you are trying to sleep , then I am sorry to inform you that I won't let you" He says as he moves closer to me and wraps his arm around my waist
"Sex?" He asks and I turn around a give him the strongest push I have ever given someone, but he doesn't even move an inch
"Whaat?" He asks animatedly
"I know everything' I say as I warn him
"I know that you know everything" He says
"How do you know that I know everything?" I ask, confused
"Because what you think I don't know is what I know, and it's funny that I know what you think I don't know" Ivar winks
"SHUT UP!!" I scream
"Take me Nova, I am all yours" Ivar spanks me and giggles
I am done, I get up to leave but he holds me by the arm
"That mad, huh? My Lioness?" He says and roars like a lion while he laughs
"Ivar.. it's not funny" I say as I try to loosen his grip on me
"Kill me with words Nova, but don't kill me with silence" He begs with his expressions suddenly changing to seriousness
"Oh so you want to hear my words?" I say as he places me on himself as he lies down on the bed and keeps his hand at the back on his head
"You are a liar and a cheater" I say
He looks at me with those piercing blue eyes
"And a master manipulator, astute king, ruthless devil and everything that I hate" I say angrily
His expression doesn't change
"I know all about Freydis and I will kill you Ivar, I don't care how much I love you" I say, "I will kill you"
"Hmmm" He says
"Look at you! You don't have once ounce of regret!" I say as I try to get off him but his holds me with his arms
"I have an explanation, that you may or may not like. But it's worth knowing" He says calmly
"First let go of my arms" I command and he immediately releases me from his grip
I rub my arm to soothe the pain and crawl to the other side of the bed as he rises, pours himself a drink and stands shirtless in front of me.
"Now" I say
"I will hear your explanation, but It won't change how much I despise you or hate you for doing this to me and ruining everything" I say as I sit with my knees folded
"Very well" He raises his glass
"But" He smirks
"But what?" I ask
"I will taste you first" He says
"RIDICULOUS!" I exclaim
"Ummm remind me again? You are my wife?" He says animatedly
"Ivar, trust me" I say as I rise with my heart beating a million times faster, "You don't want to do this right now"
"Oh I sure have to do it because I know what you and Alfred did" He says as he bangs his mug on the table
"Ah! Have you been spying on me?!" I scream
"NOVA! HOW COULD YOU TOUCH HIM WHEN YOU BELONG TO ME!" He bellows like a beast
"I DON'T BELONG TO ANY MAN, YOU ARE MISTAKEN IF YOU THINK THAT!" I scream
He takes few deep breaths in and sits, him mood changing almost instantly
I sit down too, taking a few deep breaths in.
"We are going in a war" He says calmly, "I may or may not see you ever again" He says
"Don't say that" I say as my voice cracks
"Let me touch you Nova" He says as he moves closer to me, "If tonight's the last time we will be together, let me make it the best one for you" He says
"Ivar" I say but he moves towards me an shushes me as he looks me in the eye
"Let me please" He says, "And after that we will talk about anything and everything"
"Just tonight" He begs
I take a deep breath in and look at him, the epitome of handsomeness as I nod at him
He smiles as he presses his lips onto mine and takes me in his arm
As he takes me down on the bed..
Here we are again, fighting, making love, falling apart and making love again
