The culture I swim in,
overlay of personal expression,
bubbles up to the surface
to create an impression.
It distracts the population
from ongoing oppression,
writhing and rumbling beneath,
power struggle for supremacy
and 'one world' domination,
jagged jaw and crooked teeth.
This convincing circus
– act upon act upon act –
redirects our attention,
pretending contention,
hides a most salient fact:
steeped in terror's intent,
humans have lost their bearings
as responsible participants
in the Universe's conscious
and continuous unfurling.
