~Vanessa's POV~

The girls and I were walking in the halls at school when suddenly Riley pulled on our arms.

"Look what's happening, look what's coming!" Riley tells us with a smile.

"What's coming crazy?" We ask her.

"Invitations...to the seventh grade parties. It's begun. We could be party girls. I'm going need a party-girl walk." Riley told us starting to walk funny while Maya and I looked at her funny.

"Yeah..." I started to say.

"That's not it." Maya and I say in unison.

"You know, there is going to be boys at these parties but not just any boys. No, opposite sex boys. They're the best kind." Riley tells us with a still smile.

"Yeah, you sound ready for this." Maya tells her sarcastically.

"Oh, I am and I may just be the first girl who crosses over from our side of the room to the..." Riley trails off.

"Yeah that's going to be us." Maya and I say in unison.

"Yeah that's going to be you guys." Riley said it the same time we said.

"You know what pretty-boy hipster is handing out invitations to...don't you?" Riley said nudging us.

"A party." I say as Maya and I nudge her back.

"Membership cards to the popular club." Riley tells us.

"Why can't you just let it be a party?" I ask her as Maya nods.

"Because this is it, right here. This is where you guys go one way and I go the other way. You guys get invited to the party, Maya you marry pretty-hipster and Vee you are going to marry Farkle, and I end up marrying Anthony Delvecchio and we buy bulk. You guys are going to be popular. I'm not. Good for you. Good girls. Bye-bye, girls, bye-bye. " Riley cried hugging us.

'Pretty hipster boy' then comes by and hands Riley an invitation. Riley pushes it back to him but he gives it back to her. She finally takes the invitation and smiles at it as hipster boy leaves.

"Yay! For me." Riley says with a huge smile but then looks at us. "Guys, I know you didn't get one, but is it okay if I'm really happy?"

"You go get them, tiger." Maya tells her as a I nod with a smile.

Riley squeals and walks away doing her weird dance.

"We love you, but...you are a lot of work." Maya says looking at the direction Riley went.

When she looked at me she noticed I still had a huge smile on my face so she pulled out a face of confusion.

"Why are you so smiley?" She asked me.

"Oh nothing just that... I was the party planner for that party. And it was one of my most successful clients." I told her as my smile turned into a smirk.

It took her a minute but she got what I meant.

"Oh this is going to be so fun." Maya said chuckling.

"It really is." I said chuckling.

"Well let's go." We said and we locked our arms.

We walked out doing Riley's weird dance.

°°°°°

At the moment the girls and I were entering the classroom. Instead of going to her seat Riley wen to her father's desk and slammed her invention on his table.

"Boom!" She exclaimed making her dad look at her.

"You got invited to something?" Cory asked his daughter.

"So much for genetics, baby." Riley tells her father.

"Ooh, seventh grade party. Yup, I didn't get invited to a whole lot of those." Cory admitted to us.

"Really?" I asked "I have already gotten invited to 25 parties."

Cory looks at me with a shock expression making me shrug.

"Good for you." Cory told his daughter trying to ignore me making me chuckle. "I'm proud of you. Boy-girl party?"

"Yep." Riley nods.

"You can't go!" Cory and Riley said in unison since Cory was so predictable.

"May we approach?" Maya asked for the both of us.

"Hurry please." They tell us in unison looking at us.

We go up front with them wrapping our arms around Riley.

"I'll keep your young'un out of trouble sir." Maya tells him.

"Hart you are trouble. Why would I want my young'un anywhere near the same party you're gonna be?" Cory asked her.

"You wouldn't. Say it. You know you want to say it." Maya told him.

"You can't go if Maya's invited!" Cory and I said in unison.

"Ooh that was fun." I said high fiving Maya.

We then pointed to Riley who said "Maya's not invited."

"Then you can go." Maya tells her.

"Thank you Daddy." Riley said.

"All right, good day, everybody." Maya says turning to the class then looked at me wanting me to continue.

I go up next to her looking at the class.

"Class is dismissed." I tell the class which they smile at starting to get up from their seats.

"Sit down!" Cory says and everyone goes back to sitting.

"Sit down!" The girls mimicked then they go to their seats while I go to sit on Cory's seat since he always lets me.

"So there's this guy Damocles who really really wants to be king. One day, he gets an invitation to come sit on the throne and actually hang with royalty." Cory tells class starting the lesson.

"No!" Riley said pointing to her dad.

"Sup Riles?" I said from where I was sitting.

"Pop's lesson hitting a little close to home?" Maya asked her.

"Nope, what he says has nothing to do with me. Yes, I've been invited to hang out with middle school royalty, but nothing bad could happen." Riley says with a smile.

"I'm sure you're right." Cory tells Riley. "Farkle, Little Vee. . ."

"When Damocles sat on the throne he noticed a sword hanging over it, held up by a single tiny thread." We said in unison, smiling at each other and Cory nod in approval.

"Maya." Cory called her out.

"Be careful what you wish for." She said.

"Why?" Cory asked her.

"Being what other people want you to be is just a sword hanging over your head." She says as we look at Riley before looking back at Cory.

"Good." He smiled at her and then looked at his daughter. "Riley?"

"Nothing to do with me." Riley said holding her hands in defense.

°°°°°

~Cory's POV~

Riley, Maya and I had just entered the apartment where the party was being held and we finshed talking well Maya was speaking saying things that confused me.

I was going to ask more when I saw Vanessa leaning on a wall next a door.

"Vee where did you come from?" I asked her.

"Well I was originality born here in New York but when I was young I move to Texas. I then moved back to New York when I was older." She told me sarcastically.

'She is really Shawn's and Melissa's daughter' I thought.

"What I mean is why are you here?" I asked my god-daughter with a chuckle.

"Oh, I was the party planner for this party." She said with a smirk which Maya mimicked confusing me even more.

"Smile and watch." They both said in unison turning to the door when it opened showing Farkle.

"Greetings, fellow partygoer." Farkle greeted us.

"Farkle?" My daughter asked confused but I just understood why the girls were smirking making smile very big.

"Announcing the arrival of party guest number six, female number one." Farkle said leading Riley inside.

"Um hello I'm a female Farkle." Isadora said waving her hands around.

"Hi Isa." Vanessa said waving at her with a smile.

"Hello Vanessa." Isadora said waving at Vanessa with a smile.

"You getting this yet sir." Maya asked me.

"But Pretty Boy... pretty boy is still here." Riley said pointing to an unusual tall boy.

"Wait for it." Vanessa said with a smirk.

Once she said that the one boy turned into two geeks.

"That's the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life." I said with a huge grin on my face as the girls laugh.

We then heard a phone ring which it was Vanessa's. She saw it was text.

"Well I have to go home." Vanessa told us still laughing a bit then turned to the people inside the room. "Have fun everyone and remember to call me when you need a party planner."

"Thanks and we will." Everyone said.

"Good night my love." Farkle said waving at her.

"Good night." She said waving at him as well.

~Vanessa's POV~

'Well I can tell something is going wrong tomorrow'

°°°°°

The next day I came in the classroom stomping pass Maya since she called me telling me Riley wasn't there in the morning and I think I may know.

I saw Farkle and went to grab a fist full of his shirt.

"Where is she Farkle? Where is our best friend?!" I asked him.

"My my, what did I do to get this display of affection?" Farkle asked me making Maya and I look at him in confusion.

"This looks like affection to you?" Maya asked him.

"I takes it however I gets it." He told us.

"She wasn't there when I tried to pick her up this morning and we couldn't find her in the halls." Maya told him.

"And she hasn't been answering our calls. She always answers our calls." I told him still having a grip on his shirt.

"What'd you do with our girl?!" Maya and I demanded in unison.

"Vane, release the Farkle." I heard Riley say.

I let go of Farkle and Maya and I turn around to see Riley enter the classroom in a Harajuku outfit.

"Farkle didn't do anything except open my eyes to what the world really thinks I am." Riley tells us.

"A Harajuku girl?" I asked my god-sister with widen eyes.

"Yes, because I figured if what I am is nerdy geeky, I'm going to set the nerdy geeky world on fire." Riley tells us with a huge smile.

"You take it." Maya tells Cory while I look at our best friend with wide eyes.

"Nope, beyond me. All yours." Cory tells us making Maya sigh but making me throw him a glare which made him jump scared.

"Why should I struggle to be popular when I can be these people's empress fairy queen?" Riley asked really not looking for an answer.

She then did this honking sound which the other two geeks copied.

"No, please the one guy was two guys. The sword fell. This is the way you're going to go." Maya told Riley. "You're going to embrace this?"

"Deal with it. I've gone over to the dork side." She told us still smiling.

"This isn't you." Maya tells her since I'm still shocked about all this.

"This is her." Farkle says making look at him shaking my head.

"They love this me." Riley said.

"Do you love yourself like this?" I asked her wanting to know if she did.

She didn't answer and went to look inside her book giving me the answer I knew was right.

"We're not changing you back." Maya told her as we went to go sit down, I went to go sit in Lucas's seat since he was still in Texas.

"Oh, yes you are. My daughter's going through this week's crazy... you get in there." Cory told us.

"Father, may we continue with the lesson? I seek knowledge." Riley told her father with a smile.

"Never mind, leave her alone." Cory told us making me glare at him again.

"Look at her!" Maya tells him.

When we turn to her she had her head resting on her textbook, dragging her finger across the page while she was reading.

Her dad then excitedly goes walking to Nathaniel and Kamran.

"Alright, what do you guys know about girls?" He asked them.

"Mostly we're terrified of them, sir." Kamran told him.

"So we try to keep our distance." Nathaniel adds in.

"Well, then I choose empress fairy nut job." Cory says.

When I turn to look at them I see them doing weird movements which Cory joins in, they then start yodeling. We then turn to Riley who had her arm high up in the sky with a proud smile.

°°°°°°

Later that day I went to go to my house when I felt someone beside me and saw it was Farkle.

"I'm in no mood to talk Farkle." I told him trying to walk faster.

"Wait Nessa! What did I do?" He asked me catching up with me.

I stop my tracks and look at him.

"What you did? Farkle you changed my best friend." I told him.

"No I didn't I just brought her out to who she really is." Farkle said still not getting what he did.

"No you didn't Farkle." I told him shaking my head. "The Riley we all know and love is geeky but her own way. That person who was in the classroom today wasn't my god-sister, it was someone you made think they were the queen of geeks."

"But I brought out the best of her." Farkle exclaimed.

I walked up closer to him and asked him "Would you do that to me? Would you try and change me to 'bring out the best of me'?"

"No...no I wouldn't." Farkle responded looking down.

"Why wouldn't you?" I asked him.

"Because it'd change you from being you." He tells me looking at me.

"Yeah and that's what you did to Riley." I tell him.

"I'm sorry Nessa." He tells me.

"It's okay Farkle but it's not me who you should apologies to." I tell him. "Now if you'll excuse me I have to get home."

"Alright." He says. "Bye Nessa."

"Bye Farkle." I tell him walking away.

Ten minutes I got to my house and I enter to see my mom and my auntie who was dressed weirdly making me look at her with wide eyes.

"What is wrong with the Matthew women?!" I exclaimed shaking my head going into my room.

°°°°°°

"Riena wake up you have school." I heard my mom say as she gets in my room.

I groaned into my pillow not feeling well.

"Are you okay riena?" My mom asked me with worry in her voice.

"My head." I cried out having the blanket over my head.

"It hurts again?" She asked me and I nod. "Do you think you can go to school?"

"I have to go to school either ways." I said trying to stand up but got a major head ache so I had to sit down again.

"Yeah, I don't think so." My mom told me.

"But-"

"I'll call Cory to tell him your not going to school and to don't worry I'll ask him to bring your homework." She tells me and I sigh.

"Alright, as long as I get my homework." I tell her.

"I know riena. I'll go and bring you some asprin and some waffles." She said walking out my room.

Two hours I was getting really bored so I grabbed my laptop so I could facetime uncle Shawn.

'Uncle Shawn? Papa Shawn? My dad?' I questioned myself 'How am I suppose to address him now?'

I shake away my thought and clicked the button to face time him. A few seconds later he anwsered the request.

"Hey my little star! " He greeted me using his nickname for me.

"Hey Papa Shawn!" I greeted him knowing that what I said had a new meaning now.

"How are you? Haven't heard from you in a while." He told me still smiling.

"Yeah sorry about that. It's been getting really crazy here." I told him smiling.

He chuckled saying "With the Matthews and your mom there I don't doubt that."

"Well good you shouldn't." I tell him chuckling as well.

"Anyways why aren't you in school right now?" He asked me.

"Oh, I woke up with a huge head ache and I could barely stand up so mama said I had to stay in today." I told him shrugging.

"And I'm guessing you're bored out of your mind." He tells me with a smirk.

"Yes! How'd you know?" I asked him.

"I used to be bored out of my mind when I was at home too. Your mom and Cory were both at school so I had nothing to do." He tells me.

'Huh daughter like father' I think with a smile.

"So what else is going on? I can tell there's something else is going around your mind." He tells me knowing me fully well.

"Well Riley got invited to this party that Maya and me didn't get invited to and she was so happy to be invited." I started saying.

"She said an invitation is-" I said but then somehow he said the same thing I was going to say.

"Invitation to popularity?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes!" I looked at him with a shocked expression. "How'd you know?"

"That's the same thing Cory said when we were you guys age." He tells me with a sigh.

"Wow daughter like father." I said voicing my thoughts from earlier and he nods his head. "Anyways when they got there to the party Riley finally noticed it was a..."

"Geek party." We said in unison.

"Yup Cory and Cory jr. are really similar." He said making me agree.

"Yeah and yesterday when she got to class she dressed as if she was a Harajuku girl." I tell him.

"Wow." Was all he could think to say.

"Mhm. I get that we are going to change along the way but she's pretending to be someone she's not." I tell him.

"Hey don't worry little star it'll get back to normal soon." He assures me.

"I know it's just ahh." I tell him making him smile. "Also are we really normal?"

"Touche." He agreed as we both laugh.

"Anyways, where are you today?" I asked him knowing he's taking photos for his job.

"Well I'm somewhere around Utah but quite honestly don't remember where." He told me and we laughed.

For the rest of the day we talked and it made me feel a lot more better.

°°°°°°

It was the next day and Maya told me she had a plan to get our best friend back. We headed over to the spelling bee as Maya handed me the card.

"Your first word is-" Cory started to say but I cut him off by putting the card in his hand. "Vee you can't just-"

"Look at the word Uncle Cor." I tell him and he does.

"Vee, Maya what are you doing?" Riley asked.

"Hey Farkle isn't the only one with a master plan." Maya tell Riley.

"Miss Matthews, your word is harajuku." Cory tells her.

"Excuse me?" Riley asked surprised not know what to do.

"Harajuku." Cory repeated again.

"Uh, may I have the meaning of the word?" Riley asked.

"Oh, you don't know? Let me tell you. It's a real neighborhood in Japan, where authentic Japanese girls have created an authentic look and life for themselves that is unique for them." Cory explains to his daughter.

"Country of origin?" Riley asked.

"Are you kidding me?" Cory asked his daughter looking at her with wide eyes.

"Can I hear it in a sentence?" She asked once again.

"Yeah." Maya said.

"Stop pretending to be a Harajuku girl because you're not, you're Riley." We tell her her.

"R-i-l-e-y." I spelled out.

"Five seconds, Miss Matthews or you are elimminated." Cory tells her.

"What do you mean 'elimmimated'?" Riley asked her father.

Farkle then stands up saying "It means you can't be part of our group anymore."

"Harajuku, something I'm n-o-t." Riley spells out. "I'm sorry Farkle. It was a lovely party and your friends are pretty cool."

"We are?" Kamran asked and Riley and I nod.

"We've never been called that before." Nathaniel said with a smile.

"Thank you Riley we feel the same way about you." Farkle said with a smile making me smile.

Riley comes over to us and the three of us sat down.

"Well I guess we're back to where being popular is gonna be kind of hard, huh?" Riley asked us.

"I wouldn't know." I tell her.

"And let's not try to hard to find out." Maya added in.

We then side hug each other and everyone smiles at us before I get up and go stand up to go where Riley was standing. Everyone looked at me in confusion not knowing why I went there.

"Harajuku, H-a-r-a-j-u-k-u, Harajuku." I said with a smile knowing I was right.

"Correct but your-" Cory tried saying but I cut him off.

"I'm a stand in meaning if they ever need an extra person I can get in anytime." I told him. "Got a problem."

"Point to Farkle's team!" Cory said quickly as I smirk knowing he was scared.

I then picked up Riley's glasses and put them on and looked at everyone.

"And that's how it's done." I said bowing and everyone claps.

I then turn to the boys saying "Now win this you amazing people."

Nathaniel and Kamran then asked in unison "We're amazing?!"

"Yes." I say chuckling. "Anyone as smart and kind as you guys are amazing."

"Thank you." They say in unison again.

"Don't thank me for something that is obivious but your welcome." I smile to them before going back to the girls not noticing that Farkle was looking at me with a smile that reached his eyes.
