Nova's POV
He traces my skin with his sturdy fingers as I giggle
I feel like a little girl again
The girl who runs in the field like magic, or the one who falls in love with stories which her dad tells her
My heartbeat goes slow and fast at the same time
As his skin syncopates on my skin while he nibbles my ear...
"I hate to go" I whisper as he glides his hands down my waist
"Then stay" He says mesmerisingly
And I blush...
The feelings come back to me, the way they were before. This times a gazillion times stronger.
As I drown in his love knowing that we fell apart, to fall back into each other's arm together
I feel weightless in his arms and magical on his lips
Gravity and senses mean nothing to me now.

"After the war is over" He says as he sucks my lip, "I want you to be with me, only me" He says
"I will be with you" I say as I take his hand and put it on my heart
"Promise me Ivar, that you will never lie to me, never deceive or manipulate me. Promise that the past is the past" I say as my lips shiver
"I have never done so Nova, trust me" Ivar says as his hand gets warm on the skin on my chest

'And I will never let you down" He says as his eyes gets a little wet
I take his hand a kiss it as he kisses my forehead...
"I love you" He says as his voice cracks
"I love you too Ivar, with all my heart and soul" I say as feeling of love takes over my body
"OKAY LOVEBIRDS, TIME TO LEAVE" Hvitserk screams from outside as we smile
I grab my sword and cloak as Ivar holds my hand and escort me to the horse
"You can trouble your mommy, not a lot. Just a little" Ivar winks at Alfie who hugs him as I mount my horse
Torvi hands Alfie over to me as he places himself with me on Ella
"We will come and see you in three day's time" I say while breaking my heart, yearning to be with him
"And I will wait" He says with loved up eyes and assuring words
"Haa!" I gallop out of the camp as Ella neighs

I see Alfred patiently waiting for me by the castle door, and with him stands Judith and Jezebel
"I was really worried about you!" Jezebel says as she surveys my face for answers
While Alfred stands quietly
And Judith surprisingly, way too quietly
"I sent the letter, informing about my delay" I say as I take off my cloak, "Kitty, take Alfie to the chamber" I say as I kiss Alfie while Kitty ushers him away
"Can I have a word with you King Alfred?" I say as Alfred nods
"Alone" I look at Judith and Jezebel, who understand and leave quickly
As soon as they leave Alfred hurries towards me and kisses me on my lips
"I have been thinking about you lately, when you left, this castle fell so empty" He says as he holds my hand
"Alfred, I have to talk to you about something" I say hesitantly
What happened between Ivar and I was magic and in a million years I won't give that up for anyone or anything. The morning today, it felt like we have renewed our wedding vows. It felt like we have renewed everything and there's nothing more in the world that I want to do than to be with Ivar, my husband and the father of my child.
"What is it, love?" Alfred takes my chin and asks
"I thought it was all over between Ivar and I" I speak, "But when he touched me I knew I wanted to be with him" I say as I look into Alfred's green eyes, "I love him and he loves me too" I says as I break Alfred's heart
"He is the sound to my music, the words to my story" I say as I smile to myself absentmindedly
"I have never felt this way before and I never will" I say as I jump excitedly
"It's MADNESS" I say as Alfred's expression turns serious
His eyes gives me the look of concern rather than betrayal
He sighs and looks at me with jaded eyes, then he looks up and sighs again
"I am sorry Alfred but I know you will find someone that you feel this way about" I touch his shoulder, "For me, My heart is engraved with Ivar's name" I say
Alfred says nothing as his skin becomes reddish pink
He takes my hand in haste, "Come with me" he says as he takes me with him
"To where?" I says in bafflement as he grips my hand a little tighter and guides me in the corridor as everyone bows through the whole way
"Just come" He says while he keeps walking while I try to keep up with his swift pace.
We enter the guest hall as Alfred swings my arm and a pulls me inside
"Alfred!" I say as I jerk off his hand
After shifting my eyes from Alfred, I see two people standing by the window lost in some sort of serious conversation
Alfred stretches out his hand and gestures me to walk towards them
They both turn around and I immediately recognise them
It's Lagertha, who killed Ivar's mother Aslaug and who was the first wife of Ivar's father Ragnar Lothbrok
And
Bjorn Ironside, Ivar's half brother and son of Lagertha
They turn around and look at me as I look at them in absolute shock
The breath gets knocked out of my lungs.
