SIBERIA'S POV**
"well Siberia, could you please get back onto the table for me?" Donatello asked politely, smiling at me. His eyes didn't break contact with mine, as I used my one good arm to pull myself back onto the table behind me. I let my legs dangle free, acting like I was comfortable, but I knew better than to trust anyone. Unfortunately, the turtle saw right through my disguise.
"You don't trust me at all, do you?" He asked, catching me off guard. I gave him a shifty look, resulting in a look of amusement from Donatello. "You can think what you want of me, to be honest, but I haven't finished my full genetic examination of you." He said smugly. I huffed loudly, watching as Donatello pulled out a swab, and began to walk over to me.
"You want me to open mouth?" I almost sneared laughing at his reaction. Clearly he wasn't comfortable with me making innuendos. I looked up, as he gently placed a hand on my bottom jaw. Innocently, I peered up at him, and he avoided looking into my eyes,
"This will only take a moment." Donatello said slowly, pulling back my upper lip to reveal my jaw full of large pointed teeth. The swab rubbed lightly against my gum, before the turtle stood up abruptly and hurried over to a large machine behind me. Clearly a DNA analysis machine.. but it was made from scrap metal.
"Did you make a DNA sequencer.. From garbage?" I asked, unable to hide the excitement in my voice. The turtle turned, a sort of smile on his smooth face,
"Wh-why yes, yes I did. How did you know what it is?" He asked, equally astounded. I sat forward, inspecting his 'laboratory' from where I was sat.
"I'm smart. But this," I gestured to his machinery. "To create this from the rubbish you have found is truly amazing.." I sighed. Donatello blushed, and rubbed his neck awkwardly,
"You're pre-pretty amazing yourself actually," he stuttered, again avoiding my eyes. "I-I mean, you're the first mammalian mutant I've seen excluding my sensai." He pushed his glasses up his snout. "And you're a wolf! Your senses are naturally 24 times much better than mine so you're definitely at a major advantage when it comes to being genetically mutated into some sort of.."
"Super predator?" I interupted his rant, my voice solemn. If he knew what I was really bred for, he wouldn't have said that with such confidence. He nodded quickly, before rushing over to yet another homemade machine.
My eyes began to wander around the room. I was sat in was a small rectangular room which faced into a large dome like structure, with a balcony running all around the circumference. On the left side of the room was a large staircase, and a lot of circular tunnels ran out from the edge of the dome, obviously running out into other rooms in the establishment.
"So.. You're obviously from Russia. But why are you here? And.." Donatello was interupted by the machine making a noise. "Wait, you were born a human?" He sounded surprised, turning to look at me. I frowned.
"I was human and raised in Russia, yes." My voice changed pitch slightly, as I frowned across at Donatello. "Were you not born human?" I asked. The turtle's reaction was that of shock, as he stared at me with wide eyes.
"Rough childhood?" He remarked, trying to lighten the tense mood I'd just created. I shrugged, as he continued to talk. "And no, I wasn't born a human. I was and always have been a turtle. Me and my brothers are the products of genetically modif-" my mind began to wander. Next thing I knew, Donatello was stood in front of me, frowning sympathetically,
"Ar-are you okay?" He said softly. I looked up from my feet, and I felt myself smiling sort of. I hadn't genuinely smiled in quite some time, and it was a weird feeling.
"Yes, I'm fine, Donatello." I smiled, attempting to get to my feet again, but accidentally caught my wrist in the process. I let out a sharp whine, causing Donatello to instantly support me on my feet, whilst checking my arm.
"Please, call me Donnie." He insisted, as he let me stand on my own. I nodded,
"Thank you.. Donnie. You call me Si, if you would prefer." It sounded weird giving myself a nickname.. only my Professor had called me Si. I looked up at the turtle, his hazel eyes smilng at me softly.
"S-so, tell me more about yourself?" He stammered, almost blushing. I coughed lightly, rubbing my arm.
"There is a lot to tell.. but I will give you short version." I smiled hesitantly. "I've been trained to expert level stealth and assassination. Hense guns, which I see you unloaded." I raised an eyebrow at the turtle, resulting in him shrugging in my direction. "I was also taught to highest of intellectual standards. My parents were killed when I was young, and I was experimented on with their own findings in an attempt to create a new breed of solider. As a result, I have been in solitary confinement since 14 years of age. I escaped, obviously, and now I'm being hunted by my captures or 'creators' as they call themselves, the Russian mafia. Specifically Gorbonov division, who specialise in genetic science." I looked up to me met with the sight of Donatello open mouthed in shock.
"That's the short version?" He whispered, he was stood so close to me, I was beginning to blush. Luckily, my fur hid it well. I shuffled away slightly,
"I don't know why I tell you this.. You're stranger.. I-" I started, folding back my ears and looking down at the floor. Donatello huffed in agreement, before placing a hand on my shoulder.
"It's fine, sometimes it's just nice to get things off your chest. Besides, I won't tell anyone, promise," he smiled.
DONATELLO'S POV**
This wolf in front of me was truly facinating, her eyes especially. With a vague idea of her background, I knew it was going to be hard to win her trust, but it was all mutants together in this city, she couldn't risk going out in her state now. An awkward moment passed, before there was a loud noise behind me. I sighed as I saw Raphael launch Mikey onto the sofa shouting at full volume, followed by Leo charging after them.
"Guys.. we have company.. g-guys please," I tried to stop them, stepping forward in an attempt to get their attention. However, it was in vain, as the three of them simply ignored me,
"Why I oughtta," Raph shouted, hurtling empty pizza box after pizza box at Mikey, who then finally ducked, sending the the last box flying in our direction. Naturally, I moved out the way, however Siberia didn't see the box in time, and ended up with a slice of greasy pizza stuck to the right side of her face.
I had never heard the room fall so quiet so quickly. But she herself remained calm. I watched as Siberia peeled the Pizza from her face, and stared blankly across the room at Raphael.
"I-er.. I'm so sorry, I.. I dint mean ta hit ya, miss." Raph held up his hands in surrender. I almost heard his thoughts click in realisation of who he was looking at "So it is true.. there's another mutant in the sewers." He chuckled to himself. Siberia looked across at me, and to my surprise, she began to walk towards Raph and Mikey. Mikey was practically drooling over her, urgh. Even Raph looked her up and down. He went to say something, but without warning, Siberia swung her good fist hit Raph square in the jaw, knocking him to the floor.
"Seems I have better aim than you," She teased, almost snarling with her Russian accent. Leo looked at her and then at me with raised brows, and his arms folded across his chest and then burst out into fits of laughter,
"Siberia, these are my brothers." I sighed, rolling my eyes. I thought I'd embarrassed myself enough, but no.. they could still embarrass me further. I rubbed my left temple,
"Well at least we know her other arm's okay," Leo laughed, watching as Raph picked himself up, rubbing his bruising jaw. "Now for more a formal introduction" Leo continued, and held out his hand to Siberia, "I'm Leonardo, but you can call me Leo. You've already met Donatello obviously," I felt myself blush as Siberia turned to look at me, a slight smile on her lips. "This hot-head that you K.O'd is Raphael." gesturing to my older brother, who still had a frown plastered to his face.
"Nice to meetcha." Raphael said calmly, trying to hide his frustration.
"And I'm Michelangelo!" Mickey appeared in front of Siberia, making her jump out of her skin. I'll admit, I did chuckle to myself at that. Siberia obviously heard me laugh, I could tell by the look on her face, causing me to hold my breath. I coughed nervously in an attempt to shift the awkward weight that had settled on my shoulders,
"Si's from Russia so.. er.. be nice please. She'll probably have to stay here for a while," I continued. All four of the other mutants turned to look at me.
"She will?!" They chorused, some sounding more pleased than others. I shook my head slowly, chuckling heartily at Siberia's reaction.
"But my presence will endanger you I can't-" Siberia started, until I raised my hand in protest.
"You're in no fit state to leave the sewers, Si. So unfortunately you're stuck with us." I insisted. Siberia rolled her eyes, before looking in my direction.
"Fine, but first," she ran a paw down her tomato pizza stained fur, "I'm going to need a shower.. you do have this facility, correct?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. I panicked slightly, I doubt that anyone had cleaned the bathroom since I did it last.
"Please, let me check how clean it is first!" Leo stood straight, looking as terrified as me. I nodded before then deciding I had to create a makeshift bedroom for her. I realised that very quickly, I had to somehow transform this house that was usually full of males, into a place suitable for a young woman.
These next few weeks were going to be quite entertaining to say the least.
