As long as I keep my eyes closed,
my head towards the heavens I'm o.k.
When they open, the pressure is back behind them,
reminding me of the limits of heaven
and the ceiling I'm underneath.
Gaze too long at my heaven
and the pressure becomes too much,
Unlike sanity, light's reach, limitless
with no such reminder that the stars
are merely bulbs.
