I want the morning to stay.
The morning, where I wouldn't be afraid of the hands that reach out to me,
When my legs are uncovered from the safety of my blankets,
Or the fear of sleep,
When no one knows whether their eyes will flick again to see the next day.
I prefer the morning,
Where there are people who would hear me,
I want the morning to stay
Because I'm scared of the dark
