"Bro stop fucking touching me, damn, I'm fine." Lei stressed as she swatted hands away from her face as Nala and Gina almost smacked her.
"Well excuse the fuck outta us." Gina said as they turned about to walk out. "No wait I'm sorry, I'm so nervous, what if he gets cold feet and then he leaves or he dies from how beautiful I am- oh my gosh!" She exclaimed to herself ultimately stressing herself more.
"Bitch shut up, you look stunning." Aaliyah said thumping her in the back of the head. "When he see's you his bitch ass is gonna cry so suck that bay bay crying shit up and dust that pretty ass dress off, apply a little more highlighter, and get ready to go out there because he just did." She prepared her friend for the ceremony.
"What! it was supposed to start at 5:30!" She exclaimed. "And it's 5:38 fool, let's go." She said causing Lei's feeling of stress and panic to increase. "Awh fuck, shit shit shit." She said to herself as Nala straight slapped her.
"Get your shit together you're going to go out there and be the center of attention and you're marrying the man whose head over heels for you, so suck it, bitch!" She yelled causing Lei to nod and calm down. "Okay okay," she sighed feeling a little relief.
"Thank you guys- I'm really getting married." She mumbled the last part to herself before a broad smile etched over her face. "Awh shit I'm getting married to Brandon, ahh shit." She smiled and the girls high fived her before the three linked arms with each other and got in position to go out.
As soon as they did the orchestra began to play as Lei got herself in position with her bouquet of pansies like the ones she frequently received from Brandon causing her to love them more than she did before she knew him.
As she stepped in his line of vision instantly he began to cry at how beautiful she was. She mouthed a 'are you okay, you look beautiful' to him as he nodded wiping his light tears away. 'you're stunning, love' he mouthed back causing her to become flushed and strike a tear of her own which she let run its course because all of her makeup was basically everything resistant.
She quickened her pace down the isle to her place in front of him causing the crowd to awe and laugh at the couple as did Brandon at his soon to be wife. "Aren't they just adorable." The priest said when they joined hands causing the guests, and the wife and grooms add-ons to laugh.
As the wedding went on there were moments the two got emotional as well as the bridesmaids, especially the bridesmaids. "She's really getting married." Nala whispered back to Gina, as Nala was the matron of honor, seeing as she had married Edwin a few months prior and was carrying their first child.
"They're so fucking cute, man damn, Zion better catch the fuck up." Gina said already emotional from one of her best friends getting married but she was hiding the fact that she could've been pregnant. She didn't want anyone to know unless she was sure of it.
"They really- they really doin that bro." Aaliyah said trying her best not to cry but she couldn't. She began to quietly weep to herself before laying on Gina's shoulder and she patted her on her head.
On the guys side all four boys were lined up proud as hell of the man they stood behind. Edwin was his best man seeing as Nala was the matron and they had to match. Since Ansley wasn't in the wedding due to the past Austin had to walk alone, so to make him feel apart the boys decided to do a frat dance down the isle looking smooth as hell.
As much as they wanted the day to be special, the couple couldn't leave out a crucial part of their group; they refused to. He felt loved, ultimately and although he felt like an outcast most of the time this made him really feel like he fit in.
Once it was vow time the two's emotions threw themselves for a loop and the chemistry between them was undeniable. "And now we will hear the vows, groom then bride?" He asked as Brandon nodded.
"Okay, the groom will state his vows." The priest announced as Brandon looked down preparing himself as he felt the tears well up in his eyes. "Lei, I love you. I've always loved you, ever since that day at the poetry slam I've been nothing but attached and infatuated with you."
"You're everything I needed and more, you're more than I expected for myself and you accept me and let me be who I am." He said as his voice waver. "You didn't leave when you seen how I was around that time of year, you didn't beat me up that night when you thought I didn't like you, and you've continuously defended me against people who didn't know me for me but knew me for something that they wanted." He said as he began to cry again and she squeezed his hands beginning to cry herself. "It's okay baby, I promise." She said trying to restrain herself from hugging him before she couldn't anymore.
She engulfed him into a hug as he squeezed her and put his head on her shoulder for a second. "I love you so much." He said before kissing her neck and composing himself as they went back to holding hands.
"I'd do anything and everything for you, just like you do for me and you mean the world to me. I don't know where I would've been if you hadn't stuck around for me. Thank you baby, you have my heart forever." He said as he rapped up his speech.
Lei was beyond emotional as it was now her turn. She let out a small sniff as she squeezed his hand. "Baby you mean the absolute world to me. You're more than material things, and your voice, or you status. You have my heart and my soul and you didn't take advantage with it in the wrong way. You've supported me with my art and you gave me someone I could relate with." She said as she placed one of her hands under her nose and placed her tongue on the roof of her mouth to hold back tears.
"You loved me and appreciated me when I didn't love and appreciate myself. Just by you being there and not giving up on us because of my attitude, and I'll always love you for that." She said as he nodded. "I deserved it." He spoke to her causing the people closer to them to laugh.
"I love you." The both said at the same time. "Well they're just the most adorable people I've ever married." The priest joked causing the two to blush and got a mixed reactions of awe's and chuckles.
The rings were then brought out for the two by one of each of their baby cousins. Since Brandon went first in vows he went first to put on the ring. "With this ring, I give to you, I vow to love and cherish you, through sickness and health, 'til death do us part." He repeated as he slid the ring on her finger and he smiled down at her making her almost begin to cry again.
She repeated the same sentence and bestowed him with his ring. "With this ring, I give to you, I vow to love and cherish you, through sickness and health, 'til death do us part." Once the two had their rings it was time to rap it up.
"And now I pronounce you as husband and wife you-" before the priest could finish Brandon took her by her cheek and joined their lips together as he dipped her back. The crowd immediately erupted into cheers as the priest laughed. "Yeah that."
For the reception, it was like a big party. While Lei went to change out of her dress Gina grabbed Nala and Aaliyah and went to the women's bathroom locking the door behind them. "What's wrong, should I go get Zion?" Aaliyah said as she turned but Gina yelled in disapproval.
"No no- don't I have to tell you guys something." She fiddled with her fingers.
"What is it?" Nala asked concerned. "I think I'm pregnant." Immediately Aaliyah's eyes widened in surprise. "Woah woah woah!" She exclaimed.
"Did you take a test- do you need one we can go get you some." Nala said as Aaliyah made sure she had her phone and her keys in her back pocket since she had changed as well.
"No I have two." She sighed. "Bro we should go get Lei-" She also disapproved that. "No it's her day, if I'm not pregnant then it would cause an unnecessary scene just like if I was." She told.
"You're right, but hurry up go take them." So she did and not long after she got her results. As she walked out of the stall she looked relieved. "So- is it a no!" Aaliyah asked.
Gina then nodded as she held back her flood of tears. "Uh-huh." She said as she shook her head no. "What?" Nala said as Gina began to cry. "I'm pregnant." She cried as Aaliyah and Nala brought her into a hug. She cried for a little while before she got herself together and fixed herself up. "Okay okay I think I'm ready."
As they went out and down the corridor she sighed with the girls. "Thank you, but please don't tell anyone I'm pregnant yet-" As the three turned the corner they were met with the whole group shocked at the news.
"You're pregnant!" Zion and Lei said in unison. Gina was left stunned. "I'm sorry I just found out like three or four minutes ago and I didn't wanna tell you because it's your day you know- I'd feel selfish."
"You could never be selfish Gi- oh my gosh congratulations." She said as she brought her into a hug. "So was that you crying?" Edwin asked as he held the bathroom key to the women's room which they all came to unlock and comfort the crying person. Lei then felt a nod on her shoulder and she knew.
They stayed that way with everyone congratulating her before the only people left were Gina and Zion. "You didn't wanna tell me?" He asked. "I'm sorry, I was scared baby." She said.
He engulfed her into a not too tight hug fearing he'd squish the fetus that wasn't even fetal yet. "Baby I will always want you, and our kids, because we're gonna have more and more and more. I love you so stop fucking playing. I'm about to have a cute ass baby with a cute ass lady and I could not be more excited." He smiled causing her to smile before he ducked down and kissed on her cheek.
"I love you babe." He said to her. "I love you, papi." She leaned up and kissed him before the joined the rest of the reception. By the end of the night everyone was tired out and sleepy but Lei and Brandon weren't even close.
"Okay everyone get out, we're leaving, remember Edwin! Bring my cake to my house and LEAVE IT ALONE!" Lei said into the microphone, causing all the remaining guests to laugh. As the two readied themselves they said bye and thank you to everyone who had come. "Thank you so much, I love you all, goodnight goodnight." Lei said as the two hurried outside and into their car.
"All the luggage is in the car right?" Lei asked Brandon who nodded.
"Got the tickets and the passport?" He asked and she nodded. "Okay let's go to Italy, baby." He smiled as she reached over the console and kissed him before he drove off to the airport.
