Clarke: We got kayaks 💛💛

Bellamy: Kayaks?
Jasper: One for each of us. I rented them and figured we could go out to one of the little islands offshore

Murphy: I haven't seen Clarke use this many hearts since I got her that Gilmore Girls T-shirt for her birthday 3 years ago

Clarke: 😤
Clarke: Nope. Not gonna start. Not here. Not now.
Clarke: Calm Clarke. Calma. Respira.
Lincoln: Is she- Is she okay?
Murphy: She will be.
Bellamy: Just.
Jasper: Don't.
Murphy: Bring.
Octavia: Up.
Bellamy: Josie.
Jasper: Ever.
Murphy: Again.
Octavia: NEVEEEER.
Lincoln: (did you guys rehearse that or something)
Octavia: DONT.
Lincoln: Point taken.
Clarke: CAN WE JUST GO KAYAKING ALREADY?!
Jasper: *cowers in fear* Yes ma'am
Clarke: Okay 🙂
IN REAL LIFE
Clarke ran down to the creaky docks behind Jasper's mother's house. Twelve colorful kayaks were scattered around the area. Everyone else was already down. She and Octavia were the last to arrive.
"Choose a boat," Jasper shouted, gesturing to the small vessels around him. "But choose wisely. For this choice will determine your fate for the night."
"Jas," Raven interrupted.
The tall boy sighed aggressively. "Just everyone get some paddles and meet me on the water."
"I call the turquoise one!" Octavia shouted running towards a blue-green kayak.
"Ooh I call Green!" Monty yelled. "Pun fully intended!"
"What are you, seven?" Raven laughed as Anya rushed past her.
"All of us are children mentally. Even me. And I'm the oldest one here. Embrace it," she called back.
Raven broke into a smile. "In that case, I call red!"
Clarke smiled to herself. There was a warmth in her heart that was so full it lit up everything inside her. She loved her people. Speaking of her people, one of them was missing.
"Has anyone seen Lexa?" she called out.
Everyone began looking around, but the small brunette was nowhere in sight.
"I'll go find her," Lincoln volunteered.
"Thank you," Clarke acknowledged.
A few minutes later Lincoln returned with a blank expression. "I, I, I—" he stuttered. "I don't know wha— I was too scared to question it."
"Question what?"
Just then, Lexa emerged from around the corner with her kayak...........................................................................that was covered entirely in chihuahua print duct tape.
"What the hell?" Bellamy asked.
"Let's go motherfuckers," Lexa commanded.
"Is no one else bothered by that at all?" Bellamy questioned into the void.
" 'Whatever the hell we want,' right?" Lexa smiled smugly, elbowing Bellamy in the ribs on her way down to the shore.
"Using my own words against me."
Lexa shot one final wink in the Blake's direction before hopping in her doggo-covered boat.
The delinquent team rowed their way through the marshes led by Jasper. He was the only one somewhat familiar with the landscape. Finally, they made it to an opening where the saltwater lanes of the marsh met the ocean.
"We're here," Jasper announced.
"Whoa," Echo breathed. Her eyes scanned the horizon, full of awe and wonder.
"There it is: The Atlantic Ocean," Jasper continued. "Miles and miles of endless, uncharted waters; a natural wonder; a life source."
"It's huge!" Monty marveled.
"Yeah. It has a way of making me feel pretty damn small," Bellamy thought out loud.
Clarke sighed, letting go of her worries as she took in everything around her. She agreed with Bellamy. The ocean showed her just how big the world was in comparison to herself. She couldn't take her eyes off the waves ahead.
"You okay Princess?" Bellamy asked her.
She smiled, "Yeah."
"Guys," Lincoln piped up, "I know I haven't known you all for very long, but this has been the best year of my life. I'm so happy to know all of you."
"Aw Lincoln," Raven gushed, "You're going to make me cry!"
"As much as I may not act like it, I love you shitheads too," Murphy half-mumbled.
"You what?" Octavia asked.
"Hm?" Murphy responded.
"Did you just say you loved us?"
"What? Why would I ever—"
"You just said you loved us."
"Okay but Tav—Octavia I'm never going to—just don't—"
"JOHN MURPHY SAID HE LOVES US!" Octavia shouted with full third-circle energy for all the world to hear.
"Shut up!"
"I think we can all say this has been the best time of our life," Lexa said.
"Together," Bellamy and Clarke spoke in unison.
"We've made so many memories," Miller added.
"I'm glad I met all of you," Anya admitted.
"I love us," Jasper finished.
This was followed by a chorus of "Aww"s and "I love you"s. The entire group began reminiscing over memories of their time together.
"Remember that time Clarke was drunk behind Club TonDC and we met Anya?" Monty asked.
"Or when the Blakes were all precious when Bellamy found out Octavia was dating Lincoln?" Miller added.
"Then there was the fall carnival," Echo laughed.
"Remember when we went to the waterfalls and shared our favorite memories of Finn?" Raven chimed in.
"And don't forget about the time we saw Lexa at the summit," Bellamy began. "That was one hell of a day."
By the end, the entire group was all smiling.
"Thanks for being my people," Clarke voiced.
"Aw Princess are you crying?"
"I love you all so much."
Bellamy reached out a hand to hold his crying girlfriend's. Fingers locked, the two of them sat surrounded by the people they loved and the people who loved them. Their family.
