Chapter 27:
She falls asleep.
She looks peaceful.
Something she never is.
Her mother comes in.
Her eyes aren’t happy.
Not like they were before.
She says I’m trying to kill her daughter.
She yells at me.
She yanks my arm.
She tells me to stand up.
She says she’ll hurt me if I come back.
I don’t say anything.
I just leave.
