I was woke to the sound of music blasting.
I opened my eyes and Sunny was piled on me.
I looked at my phone.
"3:45 in the morning." I groaned.
Sunny was drooling all over my shirt.
"Sunny!" I said shaking him.
"Mhm." He groaned.
"Wake up!" I said.
"What is it?" He asked.
"We're going somewhere." I said getting up.
"Where?" He asked.
"Somewhere we can sleep in peace!" I said slipping on my shoes.
"Sounds great! Let's go!" He said getting up with me.
We walked downstairs and the house was still filled with people.
"Ayy where you goin??" Grayson asked.
He was out of there.
"Somewhere! Are you okay?" I asked him.
"Yea! Why wouldn't I be!!??" He said.
"Nevermind. Tell Joey me and Sunny are gonna be gone." I said walking away.
I bumped into a lot of people trying to find my way to the front door.
Once I stepped outside, Sunny wasn't with me.
"Dammit." I said to myself.
I went back in the house to look for Sunny.
He was in the floor curled up in a ball.
"Sunny What are you doing? You were supposed to be following me!" I said.
"It's so scary!!" He said.
I rolled my eyes and put my hand out.
He grabbed it and I pulled him out the house.
"Ready?" I asked him.
"How far is it?" He asked.
"Not too far. I just have to ask them first." I said.
"You haven't asked?" He said.
"Nope! But I know they'll say yes." I smirked.

Me: is Grace there??
Zach 🖤: no she's on a trip with her family. Why??
Me: I want to talk to you.

Me: can I stay over too??

Me: I'll be over in like 15 minutes!
"Told you He'd day yes." I said putting the car in reverse.
"Is it that dude from the store?" He asked.
"I'm about to tell you something that no one knows but Melissa, Joey, and your brother." I said.
"Spill it!" He shrugged.
"As you should know, I have a boyfriend named Jesse. But that dude from the store is my ex boyfriend Zach. Jesse is away in college. I still did have feelings for Zach. So I cheated on Jesse. But I didn't realize it until I did it!" I said.
"Wow. You're a player!" He said smirking.
"No I am not!" I said slapping his arm.
"Whatever you say PLAYER!" He said.
I rolled my eyes and continued to drive to Zach's apartment.
When we got there I knocked on the door.
When he opened it a smirk formed across his face until he saw Sunny.
"Who's the kid?" He asked looking at Sunny.
"NOT a kid. I'm turning seventeen in January!" Sunny said crossing his arms.
"Don't talk sunny." I said.
"Got it." He said looking down.
"The party was still going on and we couldn't sleep So is it okay?" I asked him.
"Ya come on in!" He said letting us in.
We walked in and Sunny layed on the couch.
"Can I sleep here?" He asked.
"Do Whatever you want dude." Zach said.
I looked at Sunny and smiled.
"Can we talk?" I asked Zach.
He smiled and he led me to his room.
Once we got in there he closed the door.
"So does talking really mean talking?" He asked.
"Yes! I need to talk to you." I said sitting on the bed.
"Okay. Talk!" He said.
"I realized that you will never be out of my life. You will always be my ex. You will always be the guy I cheated on Jesse with. So therefore, I want to be friends and nothing more than friends." I said.
"Okay." He said.
"Really?" I said.
"Ya. I totally understand that you don't want to make it awkward. We obviously are gonna bump into each other sometimes. Mind as well put the past in the past." He shrugged.
"Exactly." I said quietly smiling.
It was silent for a few seconds.
I'm so glad he agreed to just be friends. Maybe we'll even become best friends and act like nothing happened.
"Well I'm gonna go to sleep with Sunny in the living room." I said getting up.
"Alright." He said also getting up.
"Is it okay for us to hug?" He asked putting his arms out.
I looked at the floor for a couple of seconds then looked back at him.
"I guess it is." I said smiling biting my lip.
He smiled and pulled me into a bear hug.
"Goodnight." He said kissing my forehead.
"Goodnight." I said walking out the door.
Hopefully this doesn't end the opposite way I wanted it to go.
Sunny was hogging the couch He was on, so I slept on the other one.
"Playerrr." I heard Sunny say.
"Shut! Up!" I whisper yelled and through a pillow at him.
He chuckled and fell back to sleep.
It was 4:00 in the morning and I passed out.
"BROOKIE!" I heard Sunny yell in my ear.
"What?" I groaned.
"Wake up! I'm hungry." He said shaking me.
"What time is it?" I asked getting up.
"11:32." He said sitting on the couch.
"Where's Zach?" I asked.
"Still asleep." He shrugged.
"Of course." I said smiling.
I remember Zach always slept in.
I got up and cleaned myself up in the restroom.
I put my hair up in a bun and went to the kitchen.
"No food." I said to myself.
"I'm gonna go get some food. Be right back!" I said walking out the door.
I got food and came back to Zach's apartment.
I stood at the door and listened to their conversation.
"So you're saying that you would rather live in the cold than the heat?" Zach asked Sunny.
"Yep!" Sunny said.
I laughed to get their attention.
"He's like another you." Zach said.
"I know right!?" I said putting the food down.
We were eating peacefully and then Sunny brought it up.
"So Joeys party is in 2 days!" He said.
"Yes! It is!" I said.
"You wanna come?" I asked Zach.
"Sure!" He shrugged.
"Dammit." I whispered to myself.
"What?" Sunny asked.
"Jesse is coming the day of his party." I said.
"So he doesn't know?" Zach asked.
"No! And he's not gonna find out!" I said looking at him.
"It's okay. Grace doesn't know either." He shrugged.
"So where am I gonna be at?" Sunny asked.
"Either you and Jess are gonna be at the house or helping the boys set up." I said.
"Where am you gonna be?" He asked.
"Distracting Joey all day." I said.
"I could help you guys set up if you want!" Zach said.
"That's great! I'll tell Melissa." I said.
We were all talking and then SHE walked in.
Here it goes.
"Hi babe! Who are your guest?" She asked.
HOW DOES SHE NOT REMEMBER ME!!??
"I'm Sophia, and this is Sunny. We're his cousins!" I said putting my hand out to shake.
She smiled at me and shook my hand.
Zach looked at me confused and then went along with it.
"Ow I stubbed my toe!" Sunny said.
"Your such a baby." I said rolling my eyes and eating a grape.
"I'm not a baby!" He said crossing his arms.
"You made me go to the store while we had a party to buy you liquid Advil. I ditched my own party to buy Advil for a sixteen year old!" I said.
"Ha! Baby!" Zach laughed.
"Your party? You were going to sleep anyways!" Sunny said.
"Falling asleep at your own party? Sounds like Something you'd do." Zach said.
"Wait do you threw a party and fell asleep?" Grace Said butting In.
I really didn't want to talk to her, but SOPHIA has no reason not to like her.
"Something like that." I shrugged.
It was silent for a second.
"I think me and Sunny should be heading home." I Said.
"But why Broo- Sophia?" Sunny said.
I am going to KILL him!!
"Mom wants us back home!" I said.
"Oh, fine." He said.
"I'll walk you out!" Zach standing up.
"Perfect." I said.
"Let's go!" Sunny said gathering his stuff.
"It was really awesome meeting you!" Grace said waving bye.
"Goodbye!" Sunny said.
I smiled and waved bye.
We walked out the house and to my car.
"So Sophia?" Zach said smirking.
I rolled my eyes and punched his arm.
"I can't believe she doesn't remember me!" I said.
"What if she does though? She's probably faking it!" Sunny said.
"Get in the car." I said looking at him.
He rolled his eyes but got in the car.
"So Saturday morning, you'll be at Melissa's house?" I said leaning on the drivers door.
"Of course! Does Joey know about the party?" He asked.
"No! Do you remember how to get there?" I asked.
"We went over there almost everyday, I would never forget." He said.
I just laughed.
"Perfect!" I said.
"So your boyfriend is gonna be there?" He asked.
"Yup." I said looking down.
"That's gonna be awkward." He said.
"Very. But it'll be fine. I'll tell him that there's nothing going on with us and that we just friends." I shrugged.
"Okay." He said.
We stood there in silence and Sunny knocked on the window.
"I guess that means I should be going." I said.
"Bye." He said giving me a hug.
"Goodbye." I said hugging him back.
I got in the car and sighed.
"Player." Sunny said.
"Im not a player!" I said slapping his arm.
"Whatever you say." He said.
I rolled my eyes and drove off.
Zach's POV
Brooklyn said she wanted to be friends and I'm totally okay with that. I still love her and she will always have a special place in my heart.
I walked up back to my apartment and Grace looked pissed.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"Are you kidding me!? Why was she here!?" She yelled.
"They needed a place to stay for the night." I shrugged.
"So she had to come here? She just wants you back!" She yelled crossing her arms.
"She has a boyfriend!" I yelled.
"I don't want you guys talking to each other!" She said.
"We're just friends! And why do you car if she still has feelings for me? I was hers before yours!" I said.
"Because your mines now!" She said.
"Okay then! I'm yours so stop getting jealous over a stupid ex girlfriend! I cheated on her with you!" I said.
And then I cheated on her with her.
"Whatever. I'm going upstairs!" She said storming upstairs.
I sat down on the couch running my hands through my hair.
Brooklyn's POV
"Where the hell were you!?" Joey asked as Me and Sunny walked in the house.
"Grayson didn't tell you?" I asked.
"I was drunk! How do you expect me to remember!?" Grayson asked walking in the living room with Ice on his forehead.
"What the hell happened to you!?" I asked walking over to him.
"Ashton punched me last night because he lost a bet and I laughed at him." He said looking down.
"Ha. Sounds like my brother!" Sunny said smiling.
I looked at him with a death stare.
"Oh sorry." He said.
I rolled my eyes and walked to the kitchen.
I grabbed the first aid kit under the sink.
"Can you take care of this Joey?" I asked him.
"On it!" He said walking to the kitchen.
I let him take care of Grayson and I went upstairs to Ashton's room.
"Are you kidding me or are you kidding me!?" I said walking in his room.
"What are you talking about?" He asked.
"You punched Grayson, Ashton!" I said.
"Oh ya I didn't mean to!" He said standing up.
"Well now he has a bruise!" I said.
"Sorry, I was drunk." He said looking down.
I rolled my eyes and left to Jonah's room.
"Knock knock!" I said knocking.
There was no answer.
"Jonah!" I said knocking again.
Jonah didn't open the door.
Jesse did.
"Babe!" I yelled jumping in his arms.
"Hi princess!" He said kissing my forehead.
"I missed you so much!" I said tearing up.
"Why are you crying?" He chuckled wiping my tear.
"I'm not crying! I just missed you." I said releasing from the hug.
He just laughed and kissed me.
"I missed that." I said smiling.
"I missed it more." He said.
"So you've been in Jonah's room all day?" I asked.
"Something like that." He shrugged.
"Where were you?" He asked.
I couldn't tell him I was with Zach.
But also I couldn't lie.
"I slept over a friends house with Sunny." I said.
I didn't lie. Zach is a friend.
"Oh that's cool. Let's go downstairs!" He said putting his arm around me.
I smiled and we walked downstairs together.
"So you figured out?" Joey asked.
"Yes! I did!" I said.
Jesse just laughed and kissed my forehead.
We sat at the kitchen table talking and my phone was aside Joey.
"Why is Zach texting you?" He asked out loud.

"Isn't that your ex?" Jesse asked.
"Correct! He cheated on her with her best friend." Ashton said putting his hand over his heart.
"Wait, Joeys used to be gay!?" Jesse yelled.
"Nooo!!" We all yelled back.
"Her ex best friend Grace." Sunny said.
"Dread her." I Said.
"That bad?" Jesse asked.
"Worse." I said.
"But that's in the past! So why is he texting you?" Joey asked grabbing my phone.
"We slept over there last night!" Sunny said smiling.
I gave him a death stare.
"Oh." He said looking down.
"You slept over?" Jesse asked getting mad.
I bung my head against the table over and over again.
"Okay so here's the thing!" I said standing up.
"Jesse can we talk?" I asked him.
He nodded his head and we stepped outside.
"Before you get the wrong idea, can I tell you why happened?" I said sitting down on the bench.
"Okay." He said taking a deep breath.
"Zach was my first everything. We started dating in high school and then we moved in with each other. One night, we went to a bar and I went to the restroom. When I came back him and Grace were making out. My heart was broken. I stayed in my room for 2 weeks crying.
Ashton brought me food and kept me updated.
Joey came in when I needed a hug. Then when I came out of my room, I told him that we were over and that was it. It hurt because we thought we were gonna get married and have kids and build a house on a hill. About 2 years have passed and I bumped into him at the mall. He wanted to have sex but I told him no because I'm with you now. Then he showed up at the party and tried to get with me again. Then Joey kicked him out and I was gonna go to bed, but I had to put Sunny to sleep. Me and Joey went to the store to buy him medicine and then I passed out. Then I woke up around three and the party was still going on. I texted Zach and asked if we could talk and if we could sleepover and of course he said yes. Me and Sunny showed up and we talked. We agreed that we would just be friends and still talk. Regardless we're always gonna be an important part of each other's lives. And I will always love Zach. I hope you understand." I said hugging my knees.
"Is that everything I need to know?" He asked.
I nodded my head yes.
"So you guys didn't have sex?" He asked.
"No we didn't. I would never do that to you. Jesse, I love you so much. No one will ever tear us apart and you're the only person I have feelings for." I said holding his hands.
Lies.
Pure lies.
"I love you too. And I will always love you. Thank you for being honest." He said kissing me.
We snuggled in the bench as we watched the sunset.
I missed him.
