i sigh as get up from the ground. i fell on the wet slippy leaves that covers the ground, one of the many downs of this whole fall thing. the fact that it's raining doesn't make it better, just colder. i now realize that skipping half of the school day because my head hurts wasn't the best idea; after falling it only hurts more. i look down only to see my legs covered in orange leaves and mud.
a car pulls up next to me and the door opens from inside.
