Betty;
"What the hell, Elizabeth! You're a model student, not one of those.. Serpents!" Mr. Weatherbee droned on and on about how much I fucked up. Well I'm sorry, but my boyfriend was getting harassed, and if I didn't intervene when I did, Jughead would've hit her not me.
That would've been a lot worse.
It doesn't matter anyways, what's done is done. Weatherbee settled on two weeks of detention since it was a first time offense. I just nodded and trudged out of the room.
Lunch bell rings.
The bell had just rang for lunch, and Jughead caught up to me halfway towards the cafeteria.
"Betty, hey, slow down for a second." He turned me around and placed both of his hands on each of my shoulders. "Betts, what's up?" A look of genuine concern clouded his green eyes.
"Jug, you just let me get pummeled by Toni, you didn't even try to stop her!" I began to raise my voice and instantly regretted it. "Listen, I'm sorry Jug, I didn't mean to-" he drew me close to him in a hug, "No Betts, you're right, I should've stopped her." He pulled away and a smirk replaced his concern, "But hey, you knocked her out cold." A look of pride colored his eyes.
I smirked right back at him, "You're condoning that?" A mock disgusted tone was heavy in my voice. "You are the Serpent Queen after all, plus you had a good reason." He just smiled that mischievous grin that melted my heart.
"You were protecting your king, after all." He put his finger underneath my chin and brought it up to place his lips on mine.
Veronica;
I rounded the corner of the hall to see some extreme PDA between good girl Betty Cooper and Serpent King, Jughead Jones.
I strutted over to them, letting my heels clack in authority. I placed my hand on my hip and cleared my throat, "Um, excuse me, but there's no PDA allowed on school property." I said in such a stuck up way that even made Betty roll her eyes.
Jughead flipped me the bird and took Betty's hand and took her towards the cafeteria, deliberately hitting my shoulder as he passed me.
Toni;
I watched carefully as Jughead and Betty walked into the cafeteria, my blood started boiling as I saw their hands intertwined.
I picked up my fork, and slammed it into the table, causing it to stick straight up, and walked out of the side entrance for the janitors and cooks.
No one tried to stop me as they knew that it would be a pretty stupid move to do so.
I walked my way towards the local drug store and stomped through the automatic doors and straight to the cosmetics\hair section.
I grabbed a box of bleach, paid, and basically ran home.
I walked through the door of my run-down trailer and straight towards the bathroom, thinking to myself, 'If he likes blondes, then blonde he will get.'
I then began to bleach all of the dark brown and pink out of my curls, not hesitating once. He. Will. Be. Mine.
