Yoongi hid in his covers that night for hours, terrified of when the man would enter the house again.
But he never showed.

Pouring some Cheerios into a bowl, Yoongi felt a sudden craving for the marshmallows that Jimin brought him.
Cheerios were boring.
His father never came back home that night, and Yoongi couldn't help but feel relieved. He was just scared that he'd get angry when he came back home.
His mother hadn't left her room all day, not even to teach Yoongi.
Feeling lonely, Yoongi scooped up Kumamon and walked to the park, deep in thought the whole time.
It was all his fault. If he had just listened to his mother, he wouldn't have so many bruises on his body, or the big gash on his head. His mom wouldn't have been yelled at yesterday because he slept all the time. It was all his fault.
Finally reaching his bench, he sat down and hugged his plushie tight, his eyes starting to water.
Why him?
Why did he deserve the kind of dad that came home drunk every night? The kind of dad who would hit his own son to the point where he laid there bleeding on the floor? The kind of dad who didn't love him at all?
He cried himself to sleep, resting his head against the Kumamon plushie that brought him so much comfort.

"Hyungie, I brought you Lucky Charms again!"
Yoongi opened his eyes, red and swollen from crying, to see the chubby-cheeked mochi sitting next to him, shoving the plastic bag into his face.
Yoongi had been sleeping at the park for over four hours.
He shook his head, gently pushing the bag away.
"H-hyung? Are you okay?" Jimin frowned, noticing the older's red eyes.
Yoongi nodded wordlessly, turning his back to the younger in an attempt to hide the tears forming in his eyes.
The older sat there quietly for a while, tears streaming down his face, until Jimin wrapped him into a back hug, resting his head on Yoongi's shoulder as he handed Yoongi the small bag of marshmallows.
Sniffling, he opened the bag and mumbled a quiet thanks before putting a rainbow marshmallow in his mouth, then turning to give a marshmallow to Jimin. Yoongi couldn't help but smile when the younger opened his mouth for Yoongi to feed him.
They stayed like that for a while, cuddling and feeding each other Lucky Charms, until Jimin dozed off.
Eventually, the thoughts of Yoongi's abusive father were replaced by the boy sleeping peacefully on his shoulder.
