A year later
Its been one year since India got shot, I've been taking care of Josiah by myself trying to keep my mood
swings and depression under control and away for him.
Quince got 10 years in prison for kidnapping while Kelly got 30 years in prison for attempted murder.
I've been taking my pills more often, and some days I feel like giving up but I know I have stay strong for
India.
Today is Josiah's birthday and it's kinda sad because India isn't here with us but I'm gonna throw Josiah the best birthday party ever because that's what she would want.
"Happy birthday Josiah" everyone yelled.
He smiled before blowing out his candles.
Everyone clapped in excitement before grabbing a knife to cut the cake.
"Tray we have a surprise for you and Josiah" Dev said.
"Ight what is it" I said picking Josiah up from his chair.
"Close your eyes Jo man and follow me Tray" He said.
I nodded before following after him.
"Do you think you know what the surprise is?" He asked.
"Nah but I'm really anxious".
"Just guess man" he said smacking his teeth.
"I swear to God you better not have brought no strippers around my son"
"Bruh- its way better than that just wait I promise you" he said as we walked into this extremely dark room.
"What the hell?" I questioned before the light turned on.
"Open ya eyes Josiah" I heard dev say
"Surprise!" A group of my friends and family said popping out of nowhere.
And there she was, India. She looked over to me and Josiah and pulled us into a big hug. I could hear her cry hard onto my shoulder.
"I missed y'all so much" she said as she pulled out of the hug.
"We missed you more, are you alright?"
"Yea I'm great just a little sore I'm glad I'm able to see my baby on his birthday"
"I wanna talk to you" I said before putting Josiah down.
"Okay"
"Come on JoJo lets go chill" Dev said walking over to him, taking his hand and leading him to the party room.
We sat down on the couch near us and I started off the conversation.
"Well imma just say it right off the bat, I never knew how much I loved you until I lost you. I-I-I really was scared you don't know how many times I wanted to give up but I'm glad you're okay "
"I love you too Tray but not as much as you love me, I can't love you the same anymore not after what you did to me"
"It wasn't me Indiana I already told you that."
"So you didn't cheat, you didn't beat me up then chain me to our bed and rape me ?"
"It was Blade and Tyrese I already explained"
"You can't blame your personalities and your disorder for your actions maybe if you would take your pills as much as the doctors ordered they would be gone. I can't blame Ocean for everything either, like when
I got pregnant."
"When did you get pregnant?" I asked
"Oh shit- look I'm sorry this is how you had to find out but when you were dealing with that crazy girl in jail I told you how I slept with someone for revenge but I didn't tell you how I got pregnant by the guy. I aborted it because I didn't want anymore children at the time and I
sure as hell didn't want a bad rep on my name"
"Bro I really don't wanna hurt you right now because it's Josiah's birthday but you pushing it India, sometimes you act dumb as fuck... I really wanna punch you right now"
"Is Blade telling you to hit me" she said chuckling a bit.
"And I dare you to do it just hit me, I'm tired you really need help. Like what happened to that therapist that you were gonna get, never happened right? That's because you don't care about what you are capable of, you promise your gonna fix yourself but it never happens" she added
"India-"
"No Tracy I'm tired of this shit" she said cutting me off
"If I would've known you were like this I would've ignored you at the bar when you approached me, my life would've been more easier. Ya know sometimes I think what would life be like if I never met you" She continued
"God dammit Indiana why are making this shit so hard!" I yelled standing up grabbing something everyone's attention.
SLAP
She slapped me leaving the right side of my face stinging.
"You know what fuck you, I don't love you no more just let me go I'm tired of helping you when you don't wanna be helped" she yelled standing up as well.
"I was the only one by your side when you were in the hospital. But it's fuck me right? Yo ass is ungrateful" I said mushing her head back.
"Bruh- what the fuck is going" Dev said walking into the room with Josiah.
"Dev take me and Josiah home now!" India yelled.
"Yo get over here" I said grabbing her by the arm pulling her closer to me.
"Get off me" she said trying to get out my grip.
"Tray let her go" Dev says
"No man I'm wanna talk" I said making my grip on her arm tighter.
"You're hurting me" she says hissing.
Josiah looked at me then India before bursting in tears.
"Look at what you did Tray, you just messed up his party" she said pushing me away finally letting loose from my grip.
"Come on baby lets go momma's sorry" she says grabbing her hand.
"He doesn't even remember you"
"You're dead to me" India looked back at me before leaving with Dev.
This was supposed to be a special day but shit happens right?

I got out Dev's car with Josiah laid on my chest.
We walked to the door and looked in each other's eyes for a while.
"Here's your house keys" he says handing my keys to me
"Thanks" I said as awkward silence came into the conversation.
I unlocked the door.. but I didn't go in the house immediately.
"You Ight" He says making me look back at him
I nodded before swallowing my saliva.
"Thank you so much for taking me home and getting me out the hospital" I said
"The pleasure is all mine.. you like family well you are since Josiah's my little cousin" He says
"Yeah" I said as he got closer.
His lips touched mine, I kissed back not thinking. I held onto Josiah tight so I wouldn't drop him as Dev grabbed my waist making the kiss rougher.
I came to my senses and pushed him away aggressively.
"I-I shouldn't of done that I'm sorry" I say wiping my lip.
"Nah I should be apologizing I kissed you first, I'm sorry I should really go" he said as I nodded slowly.
He walked back to his car and looked at me for a while before getting I his car and driving off.
