"Are you sure about this?", Chris said for the millionth time now.
"Yes Chris, I'm 100% positive about this" I said.
"If you want we can still back away and me and Felix will just confront him about it and-" I stopped him from talking by placing my hand over his mouth.
"I'm gonna do it okey. I already texted him to meet up today, there is no backing away", I said and afterwards removed my hand from over his mouth.
"Are you guys ready?" Felix said from the doorway. We nodded and went to the car driving off to the park where I told Darren to meet up.
Nervously I was shaking my legs up and down and bit on my lips. Chan, sitting in the driver's seat placed his hands on my thigh. He gave me a smile of reassurance. "We got this, you got this."
I nodded at him and decided to leave the car now. They just drove to the back of the park a little hidden from me and I walked to the bench waiting for Darren to come.
I could see him coming from afar and quickly pressed 'record' on the phone and placed my phone on the table with its back turning upwards so he didn't see that I was recording. "Luna", he said.
"Darren", I responded.
"What is it that you called me for on my free day", he said placing himself in front of me.
"I need to know the amount of money you want. I need time to gather it up", I said.
"I don't know what you are talking about", he responded.
Was he being serious right now? "The money? The money you asked for?"
"Luna, I don't know what you are talking about. If you owe me money I wouldn't possibly ask it from you", he said, looking at me with a suspicious look.
"But- and Chris?" I said, stuttering.
"What is it Luna? Didn't I give you the answer you needed?" He said with a smug smile. Shit, he knew. "Do you really think I'm stupid."
His hand snatched my phone from the table making me protest against him by holding it. But his grip was stronger and he pulled it out of my hand. He looked at the phone and pressed the 'stop' button to stop recording.
"Did you really think that would've worked", he said standing up coming closer to my face. "Stop playing your games Luna. I won't hesitate."
I wasn't scared and I didn't show any emotions. He looked from my face to the phone and deleted the footage. He came closer to my face again and held my cheeks. "If you don't listen to me carefully-"
He was pulled back before he could finish his sentence, tumbling over the ground. "If you touch her one more time I swear I will break both your arms and legs. Got that?" Chris said as he had his hands on his shirt shaking him.
Felix directly ran to me and held my shoulders. "You okey?" he said searching my face. "Did he hurt you?"
"I'm fine, don't worry about me", I said standing up from my place.
"I should have known that she would bring both of you in this", he spat at Chris. "Sad your footage is gone, not that it would have helped you a lot looking at the fact I didn't tell what my plan was", he smirked.
"Sad you're pathetic, thinking like that", I said from behind. I took out Felix' phone out of my pocket pressing 'stop' right in front of his face. "If plan A doesn't work, always check for back up", I said while Felix did the same but with Chris' phone with the camera footage.
"Son of a bitch", he whispered while trying to stand up. It was no use because he was pushed back down by Chris.
"If you don't want us to go to the police with this evidence you leave all of us alone and keep the scandal a secret. You turned something that wasn't dramatic into something overly dramatic. Everybody their own way. You back to yours we back to ours. We forget each other and that this ever happened. It's up to you if you want to continue this shit up. But know that if you make one wrong movement, we'll involve the police in this. You turned your own game in which you were the player, to a game where you are now the victim. It's up to you buddy", Chris said inching closer to his face. "You make the decision."
"Douchy people", he said pushing Chris off of him. He stood up and cleaned his shirt and pants, looking at each of us. "You people are sick", he spat, pointing at all of us.
"Last time I checked you were the sick one. Threatening my sister like that", Felix spat back. "You leave and keep it to yourself or you stay bothering and you will probably end up in jail, for real this time."
"It's because of people like you that other people's company sales go down. Thinking you are the best", he said with anger in his eyes. "I'm done with all of you and I swear if the footage leaks I won't hesitate on bringing all of you down", he said before turning around and leaving us, let's hope, forever.
We watched him leave and before I knew it I was being pulled in Felix' chest. "What was that for?" I asked.
"Does this mean I'll have no more grumpy, sad Luna in house?" he said.
I snickered before pulling away. "Yes, probably."
After Felix went to get the car Chris came to me and hugged me. "Does this mean that you are not pushing me away anymore?"
I slapped his chest lightly. "I'm sorry about that."
"It's alright, I understand", he said as he caressed my cheek with his thumb.
"Hey lovebirds", Felix said from the window as he came with the car,"I'm hungry, let's go."
We walked to the car and suddenly I remembered Tiffany. I should go talk with her. "Felix, could you drop me off at Tiffany's? I owe her an explanation and apology."
"Sure." Felix said before dropping me off at Tiffany's place.
I rung the bell already feeling my hands get clammy because I was so nervous. I jumped lightly when the door was suddenly opened by Tiffany.
"Luna?" She said with a confused look. "What are you doing here."
"Tiff", I said, playing with my nails,"I came by to talk with you."
She didn't say anything and just looked at me. "Can we talk inside?", I asked.
"Sure, come in", she said in a low tone opening the door wider for me to walk in.
We walked to the living room and sat down on the couch. "I'm listening", she said.
"First of all, I wanted to apologise. I wasn't the greatest friend for the past few weeks and I am so sorry about that. But I can explain all of it. But I understand if you're still mad at me after this", I said looking in her eyes, sadness filled in them. "It all started when I found out my dad cheated on my mom. That really was a shock for me. I didn't know how to act anymore around people. I didn't want my mom to struggle so me and Felix tried to keep up the mood. We made her breakfast but we were missing a few things so I went to the supermarket. But when I walked out of there, I bumped into Darren."
"Darren?!" Tiffany asked shockingly. "Luna please tell me you ran."
"I- I couldn't. He took me and pulled me to a place where no one could see us and started threatening me. He wanted me to break up with Chris, go to him an give him money. I didn't want to but then he started to threaten me with spreading my dad's scandal. He was there when I found out and used it against me. I was scared Tiff. I didn't know what to do. He told me that if I made one wrong movement he would mess up our company's reputation. I just felt like I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat and even worst I didn't want to see anyone. I did as he told and took my distance from Chris only leading to me being emotionally unstable", I said looking down.
"Luna, I'm so sorry that you had to go through this alone", she said hugging me. I slowly placed my arms around her too and hugged her tightly.
"Please don't apologise. I know I was wrong", I said.
She pulled away and looked me in the eyes. "I will break Darren's neck right now."
"That isn't needed though", I said. "We fixed the problem. Chris found out and we kinda found a way to blackmail him."
I explained the whole situation and plan we had in order to make Darren back away. She listened carefully at my words and understood the situation.
"I'm happy you told me", Tiffany said as she walked me out. "It really feels like a heavy weight is lifted off my chest."
"I'm happy I got to tell you", I said. "I don't know what I would do without you."
"You'd die", she joked. "Now go, Chris is waiting outside."
I gave her a last look before walking off to Chris' car. "Hi", I said.
"Hi", he said back and pecked my lips suddenly, leaving me to stare at him. "What? Can't I kiss my girlfriend."
I laughed and shook my head. "You're crazy."
"Crazy about you, yes", he said, making me cringe.
"Smooth but cheesy", I said before he took off.
Later that night we were seated in front of the television, my head on his lap while watching a tv show. "No way!" I said while looking at the message on my phone, sitting upright.
"What?", Chris said.
"Me and Felix can have Emma over this Friday", I said happily.
"That's amazing", Chris said, making me hug him tightly.
"I need to plan so much", I said breaking the hug and thinking. "I should ask what her favourite snacks are. Maybe what she likes to watch. Chris we could go to the park together and oh how nice would it be to have a small little sleep over. But she isn't staying the night so perhaps just playing outside in the tent."
I came to a stop when I noticed that he was just smiling at me with twinkling eyes. "What?" I asked, feeling heat rise up on my cheeks.
"I'm just happy. It's good to see you like this again after a while", he said still smiling.
"Yeah, it is", I said before he drew me in towards him and laid his mouth against mine.
He kissed me so softly, so perfect, just long enough that I could inhale his breath, feeling the warmth of his skin and the taste of his lip. He gripped my head, not roughly, just softly making me feel at ease, as if to keep me from pulling away. Not that I wanted to.
His one hand trailed from my face to my back and the other to my neck, pulling me even closer than I already was closing the gap that was left between us.
"STOP EATING MY SISTER'S FACE IN FRONT OF ME!"
Chris and I both jumped and turned around to see Felix in the entryway. "Why does he always walk in on us kissing?"
"Then please don't eat each other's faces everywhere you find a chance!" Felix screamed.
I rolled my eyes at him. "We have Emma here on Friday."
His face suddenly changed and a big smile formed on his face. "You're kidding?"
"I'm not", I said, smiling at his reaction. "They're bringing her after the dance classes the last one is shorter anyways and she is staying here three to four hours."
He nodded slowly with a big smile on his face. "At least there is one positive thing. About dad being a cheater", he said. "Now if y'all will excuse me, I'm gonna cry out of happiness in my room. Bye."
Felix left, leaving me and Chris alone again. "Wanna sit outside?"
"Isn't too dark outside?" he asked, looking outside.
"We have small lights, we can use those", I said. "Please."
"Sure, why not then", he said already standing up.
We walked outside and I turned on the fairy lights, making the garden slightly light up. The lights weren't bright, but bright enough to see each other.
While I was lighting a few candles, Chris found his way to the speaker and played the song we were going to dance at the wedding. When I heard the song I quickly spun around to look at him.
He started walking my way and held up his hand, just like we did in the arranged dance. "Luna, can I have this dance?" he said with a cute smile.
I nodded and took the hand he reached out to me. He pulled me closer to him placing both his hands around my lower back as I placed mine around his neck.
We slowed to the music, looking each other in the eyes. I could see the reflection of fairy lights twinkling in his eyes. my eyes trailed to his lips that curled into a smile when he noticed me looking at them. "At least tell me if they are kissable", he said cheekily.
"Very", I said looking back into his eyes.
That made his smile bigger and his dimples came out again making me lose count on how many times I have wanted to touch them. So I did. I removed one arm from around his neck and slowly trailed up his neck to his dimple and poked it lightly. "Cute", I said.
He just started laughing and pulled me into him, laughing against my neck. "What?" I said whiney.
"I love you", he whispered in my ear. "Every bit of you. Every small detail that makes you you, every word you say that makes me the happiest person, every movement you make that drives me crazy. I love you Luna."
My heart stopped for a moment. I pulled away slightly looking him in the eyes. I stood on my tippy toes and reached my face to his ears. "Bang Christopher Chan, I love you too."
