Atsushi P.O.V

Akutagawa had summoned Demonic Armour within seconds of Francis reply.

My eyes were almost burnt by deep red as his coat turned into a wrapped piece of armour that almost covered him from head to toe. Red jagged streaks ran through the strong black wrapping looking like glowing trails of bloodstream, radiating his demonic energy. I had seen this side of Akutgawa before, but not in some time. I knew this brought his defence up, and from fighting him in the past, we were at an advantage.

Well, he was.

I watched as he blocked a swift swinging kick to Francis surprise. Even Francis had misjudged the brutality of Rashomon, and he didn't know what ruthless beast was coming to hurt him. Akutagawa was certainly capable of slaughtering such a man...But I couldn't help but wondered how many people his selfish murderous hands had killed all to feel sorrow for his strength.

I had to try and set things straight- I would not have him saving Yokohama.

I close my heavy eyes, inhaled, blocking out the mayhem that surrounded me.

Tiger, grant me strength once again. Just like last time.

I felt my soul connect with the white tiger, my hands and forehead resting on the soft fur on his muscular body, making me feel like I was made of starlight. I felt his energy, his presence flow into my body and into my blood that fuelled me like a roaring bonfire.

The Tiger and I... we will save Yokohama!

I opened my glowing yellow eyes, cobalt blue was raging around me. My arms and legs hand changed their anatomy to those of the Tiger, granting me his physical strength. I flexed every muscle, feeling the power I now had control over.

I was ready for this fight.

No matter what it would bring.

My eyes locked into the golden blur of Francis who was busy in combat with the red glow of Akutagawa, like an art piece coming alive. I pounced forward, swiping at Francis, now hesitation. He skimmed it with a single bend, making me collide into Akutgawa.

"Get out of my way, Were-Tiger!" He shouted hoarsely, shoving my shoulder. I elbowed his chest, allowing him to skid metres from my body.

"You got out of my way!"

I finally had the chance to face Francis on my own without any set backs. He snarled at me, beckoning me to tempt his strength. I didn't hesitate to lung and swipe my razor claws at him, only to find a result in Francis diving away from my arms each time.

Akutgawa had crashed in, breaking mine and Francis heated fight. I grunted in frustration at his irrational move. Why couldn't he just keep out of this?!

"Oh, Dazai-san my ass! You're even more worthless than me!" I shouted, feeling a rumble in my throat. I couldn't help but snap at the man who decided to kill for pleasure.

"Nonsense! You're even more worthless." Akutgawa snapped back, his brows furrowing and I imagined a snarl under the armour wrapped around his jaw. For a second, I thought we were going to turn and switch our target to each other for I really was tempted to start digging my claws into him, asking him who he thought he was. Why did I have to be stuck with him? Why did he have to poke his nose into everything?!

"This is amusing!"

We both pinned our gazed into Francis, resing on the floor contently. Wait...Did I really trip him over?!

"You're both very much alike." He added, a chuckle in his voice.

What did he say?!

Akutagawa and my eyes had widen in utter disgust. More rage erupted inside me that I didn't know I was capable of making. How could he believe that we had... something in common?

"Don't..." I growl, my fist gaining energy for a blow.

"Compare me..." Akutagawa was mimicking me.

"TO HIM!" We said in union.

Our fists collided to his skull, a sonic boom like blow sending Francis soaring straight into the upper wing of the canopy, dust erupting from the large black dent his body had made from such an impact.

There- exactly what he deserved.

I let my heart rate ease, anger vanishing away from the satisfying blow. Our Gift cancelled, knowing we were no longer under threat for a little while. Akutgawa collapsed on the floor, clutching onto his arm. I frowned as I watched my elder grip tighten, his grazed knuckles turning white. Was he in pain?

"Taking a break, Akutagawa?" I commented.

"Shut up!" He snapped. He sighed and continued to rest on the ground, already fed up. I watched as his gaze changed to the top of the pillar Francis had crashed into...Perched ontop was the location of (Y/n), where the sky twitched like it was a glitch on a screen.

I was not looking forward to see the result of what Francis toying had done to her.

"The control terminal comes first..." I reminded, although I hated to disregard (Y/n) knowing her state,"If this ship hits the city, Dazai-san and everyone else would be obliterated too."

Akutagawa was quiet, his gaze turned to the ground, glum over the reminder "That man wouldn't die so easily..." That was true. But could anyone survive such destruction?

"But (Y/n)... she is just as important," Akutagawa replied, voice filled with determination, "She needs to be saved as soon as possible, these shadows may become permanent if she isn't alive to resolve them."

I felt my heart sink at a new threat... I wasn't familiar with her ability, so this news was also devastating. What happened if we got the control terminal, but not save (Y/n)? The crash would be prevented... but the shadows might be permanent?!

This was a new threat... anyone could get sucked in and killed! It was another load to hold on to, when we are already holding onto too much.

I felt like screaming, fist tightening... how were we even gonna defeat (Y/n)?!

"Tiger... Tell me."

No... what?!

I spun around at my beckoning.

The sound of Francis voice broke my thought, replacing with with another dreaded one. Our eyes saw the shape of Francis tall figure approaching, half of his body submerged in darkness, a golden eyes and dashes of poisonous green striking in the flash of the thunder. How was he still standing so strongly after that blow?!

"Is there anything other than family worth sacrificing yourself for?" He questioned so sorrowfully. My mouth had dropped, and Akutagawa had just grunted in annoyance at his presence.

"I'll take The Book," He projected, now standing clearly in front of us both,"and I'll bring my daughter back into this world."

"Your daughter?" Akutagawa commented.

We never knew the cause of Francis appearance. I had heard a brief description from (Y/n) back in the Agency when I had accompanied the President when she had first stayed, but hearing it from the man himself brought a new feeling to this topic... somewhat more sensitive.

In another flash of thunder I saw a glassy trail of a teardrop roll down his face. I felt nauseous at such a sight.

"My wife, Zelda, unable to accept my daughters death, became mentally ill. To this day, she hides in her fantasies that's she is still studying abroad in London..."

There was silence between us. Only the muffled rumble and clapping of thunder was between us as we listened to Francis reasonings.

"I am going to take that fantasy and turn it into reality, and reclaim my family. No matter what the coast," Francis took a few steps forward, before raging out his desire for his daughter..."My wealth is in dispensable... and I will pay all of it!"

And then, his hand entered into the sky. I frowned at his unusual move, somewhat panicking at what was happening next. He sighed, deeply exhaling.

"Why don't you come out now, my brilliant demon?" He shouted, laughing at us soon after.

No! That... that can't be...

I was too frightened to make such a move against her... but Akutgawa had other ideas.

"Don't you dare!" He exclaimed, lunging at Francis practically unarmed. My eyes brows raised, calling his name in hopes he would change his mind from such and irrational action.

However, within a second he was sent flying back, backflipping to land clumsily on his feet. My eyes dashed from Akutagawa to what I dreaded to be (Y/n)...

And there she was.

The (Y/n) I had known was not there, no.

Something else, something dark, demonic, twisted, satanic and corrupted replaced her body. Her eyes were like the abyss of darkness that coated the city, her skin was ghostly and transparent like a shadow. Her dress was white, blood streaking down her skirt and staining her skin. What had he done?! What kind of power or money could create that?! The dark aura that surrounded her sucked my attention away from everything else, watching her float just of the ground. The way she stared at us... it was as if she was intrigued, but only intrigued to kill. She never remembered us at all.

"(Y/n)..." I breathed. Seeing her like this... so broken and bewitched crushed my heart.

How would Dazai feel if he saw her? What happens if I can't save her...How would he feel if she died like this?!

"(Y/n)... it's me, Aku..." I watched Akutagawa soften, surprised at such a nickname, desperate for her," This isn't you, remember he is taking control of you!"

He head turned to stare him down, her face filled with confusion. She spoke to us, sending chills down my spine,

"You are n̷͖̂̚o̷͕̔t̵̘̀̈́ͅ ̴͖̋̏ẅ̶̦͙́́ẹ̴̻͐l̶̟̆̀ͅc̴̤̳͌̍o̵͍̠̍̚m̴̺͙͗e̵̺̽͛ ̷͚̏͆h̶͈͇̎e̶͍͙͆r̷̼̔ē̸̢̍."

Her voice was ghostly, echoed and faint. It was nothing like her touch, however.

Her arm swung across her shoulder, shadows and dark auras gathering instantly and unleashed them with a swing. Akutagawa was knocked out instantly and I watched him skid along the floor, coming to a halt eventually. I was about to call out to (Y/n), even though I knew it was hopeless...But soon,  I experienced the pain that had hit Akutagawa. I felt it infected me entirely, gritting my teeth as I embraced myself for an impact as my feet lost contact with the ground. I was sent upwards, flung onto my back and ended up crashed right beside Akutagawa.

I stayed down for a few seconds, paralysed by the agony I was enduring. My arms and legs felt as if they were on fire, stinging every fibre. My eyes squinted open as I clutched onto my wrist that had twisted, noticing Akutagawa was still out. He hadn't moved, and his eyes were shut as he sloped to the side.

"H-Hey..." I stuttered out, pushing Akutagawas shoulder gently,"...Akutagawa?" He couldn't of been down that easily, could he? Perhaps he has used a lot of energy from using Demonic Armour? But... would he wake up?

I shuffled, sitting up to try and awake him... But my mind just couldn't help but linger to (Y/n). I was still traumatised by what she had become and still felt so wrong to be against her.

"Francis, what did you do?!" I scream. I had burning hatred for that man. Destroying Yokohama for him simply wasn't enough... He just had to ruin her... and for what? She didn't deserve it!

"She is my partner in our plan. She wished to help me... she volunteered to become such, After she had nothing to live for when Dazai left her to have her Gift take her... Quite frankly, you could say I saved her." He snarled.

"You LIAR!"

There was no hesitation in that. I knew Francis was lying through his sly tongue- I knew she wouldn't do anything as such!

"Let her go, or you'll regret it!" I shout back, although I wouldn't leave Akutagawa unarmed.

Francis clicked his tongue, shaking his head in amusement. I watched as (Y/n) floated done to stand beside Francis, adjusting his collar and watching him smile.

"Her shadows touch everything in this City, so she will find the The Book and protect it, while the rest of Yokohama is sucked into eternal darkness when the Moby Dick reaches the end of her final voyage. I will not let such beauty go so easily, kitty." He exclaimed, a smirk of pride. Was he insane?! Why did he have to annihilate the whole city for it?! I gritted my teeth, too frustrated to continue to look at Francis. I shake Akutgawa shoulders more, desperate for him to be with me now that I had two of the most powerfulest enemies I know against me.

"Hey! Wake up!" I hardly say. It wasn't longe before his eyes twitched, then shot open. He flung up, head almost smashing into mine, and immediately stared at (Y/n).

She too glared at him, as if he was nothing, not even there.

And Akutagawa....

For a second, I thought he was heartbroken.

But it was snatched away within seconds, brows furrowing and serrated teeth baring.

"Give her back!" He called, standing up as if nothing had happened to him. I decided to follow- I couldn't leave him on his own after he was knocked out in one hit.

Francis laughed again, hands adjusting the tie that blowed in the wind. He snarled, head tilted down as eyes pinned at us, starting to radiate a gold glow.

"Never."

A sudden burst of gold light swept us of our feet again, skidding us back to our original position. I squint at the energy- it was like a star burning right in front of us. A golden streak cut through the sky, twisting the clouds above and creating whirlwind...and in the root of it stood Francis, absorbing all the power his money could give. He was spending more and more and more money, his stats raising higher and higher.... meaning he would defeat us undeniably with (Y/n) by his side, who looked like a black hole against the luminous gold....

We were ludicrous to take on such a mission.

"He's of the scales... it's like standing in front of a massive tornado." I say, shaking my head.

We would die trying to prevent this.

The wind battered with my clothing, sharp whispers in my ears. Over all of it, I heard the distant rumble of a ship. I was confused to hear it from up above, and it certainly wasn't the Moby Dick...

I turned around to see Yokohama's harbour, faded lights glowing like a constellation of hope. Everyone was there:Kenji, Yosano, Tanzanaki, Naomi, Dazai, Rampo, Fukuzawa, Kunikida...We had pierced through the clouds with time ticking and if we didn't do anything, then everyone would die.

But...

I had to try.

There was too many lives waiting for the death already. An Armed Detective should always be prepared to put their life on the line, and that was who I was. If I was to die trying, then I would die trying.

I felt glad that it was me in this position- My life didn't matter anyway.

But first, I had to tame the demon I was glued next to.

"Akutgawa?" I called, standing up on my feet.

"What..?"

He sounded as grumpy and exhausted as I was.

"Am I a fool? Is it worthless for me to want to escape those memories?"

Whilst Francis was busy absorbing energy, I decided to return to another topic left without an ending.

"It is." He grumbled, before joining me," The words of your past aren't fundamentally related to the person you are now."

I shut my eyes, taking in his words.

Of course.

He was right.

I wasn't the boy that was trapped inside such cold walls, blood streaming down my finger tips, helpless, hungry and heartbroken.

I could be more than that if I decided to just let go of it all.

I would no longer be the wimp that hung onto such tragedy. I was away from that life, I was free.

And now... I would save Yokohama.

I was surprised- I finally agreed with him.

I opened my eyes, determined, yet still hesitant, steps strong as I walked to possibly my death. I fought against the harsh wall of wind that pushed me away, persuading me to give in, give in, give in.

"You know, I think Dazai-San already approved of you a long while ago." I say to Akutagawa, smiling secretly to myself. I sighed, prepared to face such beautiful brutality.

Francis stood in the centre looking like a trophy wrapped in emeralds studs and stars for eyes. He beckoned us, bringing us closer and closer...

"COME!" He shouted, ready for the blood to be shed across the battlefield.

"Best beneath the Moonlight!" I called. I felt the sparking sensation of the Tiger engine by body the burning blue.

"Rashomon... Demonic Armour!"

And in the corner of my eye, a bright spark of red.

I stopped walking, stares into Akutgawas eyes in between his radiating energy.

He noticed me, and nodded, confident.

We leapt at Francis and (Y/n), determined to take them both.

Dazai P.O.V

"Get over here quicker you damn idiot!!"

"Not my fault you got stuck in a shadow..." I mutter, panting as I sprint down the darkened streets.

"You better get over here sooner cause I'm almost- fuck-, almost not gonna...shit!"

I couldn't be stressing more. I had taken Chuuyas co-ordinates from him as soon as he had called and within a second I had left the Agency Building. Chuuya had went and got himself sucked into a shadow, fighting his was through it with his gravity defying Gift... However, after the past couple of minuets he had been caught in an awkward position and struggling to make it through...

So I was on my way, ready to nullify the shadow that had a tight grasp in my friend like a leech. I had crossed many shadows in my fastened route that I had ignored, blue lighting around me to cancel their causes that stood in my path. The city was swamped with them, and the city had now become deserted... weather everyone had all been sucked in or evacuated, I couldn't tell but I prayed it was the second option. It was bizarre to be running down chilling and sinister streets that seemed like they never end as I hunted down my friend...

"These shadows are incredibly strong, Dazai," Chuuya growled. He sounded as if he was in great discomfort.

"I'll be there any second now." I reply, picking up my pace. My chest had started to burn with exhaustion, since Chuuya happened to be stuck on almost the other side of the city... I had been sprinting for twenty minuets, now feeling grateful for my top physical ability. I had started to hear close echoes of Chuuyas desperate calls and and finally..

I skidded around a corner. I had arrived.

My eyes widened to see Chuuyas arms and legs trapped inside an abyss of black, ghosted spirals wrapping around his glowing limbs. He was tugging and tugging, growling as he slowly was pulling away. However, he slipped, and was thrown onto his back.

I leapt for him, holding Chuuyas half eaten arm, the other flying into black shadow, disappearing.

Chuuya stopped squirming as soon as he felt my hand, and immediately after a flash of bright blue light up the alleyway from my nullified touch. The blue burst and soon after only tiny sparks floated where the black beast had been...

I felt my breath release that I didn't realise I was holding a second it had gone. Chuuya sighed in relief, crashing on the ground, hands rubbing his eyes.

"Well thank fuck for that!" He exclaimed through his leathered fingers. I smirked, standing up beside Chuuya.

"You're welcome, Chuu." I chimed, a smile, happy to see him safe. But Chuuya wouldn't stay calm for long. He sprung up, grabbed my collar and pulled me far down to his height. I heard his growl as he bared his teeth, fist close to my jaw.

"I could have died you idiot! Where were you for the past twenty minuets, Dazai!?" He shout, rattling my head with my collar in his grasp.

"Hey, Hey, Hey!" I exclaim, putting my hands up to halt Chuuyas actions, "I came as soon as I could!"

"You're so slow!" He exclaimed, letting go of my collar and crossing his arms, refusing to look at me. I smirked at his petty action, straightening my back.

"I think I done pretty good for twenty minuets across town.." I mutter to myself. Chuuya only clicked his tongue.

"Well... What now?" He said after a moment of silence," I thought you weren't allow to leave the Agency?"

"Well, I wasn't supposed to at all... But I managed to finally finish my job and speak to Kyouka and she knows what she's doing. Besides, if I really want, I could communicate with her." I say, tapping my headset that was strapped onto me, similar to the one I had given Atsushi before he had set off.

"Is that so..." He sighed," Well... I'm not staying down this alley any longer. You can if you want, though."

"Ah, don't leave me!" I chime, following Chuuya who had already left the alleyway.

I joined by his side as we started to continue walking down the streets that were empty, convincing me that we could be the only souls to wander around Yokohama. Chuuya and I had slowly paced our walks his head down as he watched his polished shoes slowly scrape across the pavement. I watched him, watched his dull and lifeless walk, a sense of misery and defeat around him. I wondered if it was because I had to rescue him at first, but I was more convinced that he was still stressing over (Y/n).

Just like how I still was. Within a second, I had copied Chuuya, my head hung low and slowly progressing no where.

After a while, he stopped. I frown, slowly turning to my old partner whose head still hung.

"Do you know exactly what's happened to (Y/n)?"

His voice was scratchy, as if it was just a push away from breaking.

It was to my surprise then, that I did not. I had seen the effects of her, the voice that trailed into the downstairs office... But her actual self, I hadn't... And I dared to know, I dreaded to know the truth of what exactly she had become. If what I had heard from her was a nightmare itself, what exactly was she now?

"What has he done?" I whisper.

Chuuyas head moved up, his blue eyes replaced with a grey hue, "I cannot describe to you what he's done... But she... she isn't the (Y/n) who tied us together when we needed it anymore..."

I knew that. Why did it hurt more to hear it again?

"Within a couple of minuets she could be dead..." He finished, clearing his voice so it could come back stronger. I shut my eyes and hide from the truth, turning from Chuuya.

Every realisation of it was a stab to the heart and a prick in the corner of my eyes... I was supposed to be strong, especially around enemies, and not let my emotions rule me too much but... But when it came to (Y/n), it was too overwhelming... The extreme and unreal thought of her dead...

"Hey." Chuuya said, snapping my head out of it's thoughts. He placed his hand high on my shoulder, reassuring me,

"We're gonna get her back."

I sighed," I..."

"Dazai, we are going to get her back... I have a plan now that you're here."

My brows raise in curiosity. The sound of a plan was better than anything I had right now in hopes of reach (Y/n) sooner.

"What do you propose, Chuuya?"

He only smirked, wide. It was terrifying, but I knew it was going to be brilliant.

***

Chuuyas P.O.V

"So, as you can see, we are pretty close to the Moby Dick Already," I started, hands shooting up angrily to point to the Moby Dick in the sky," We both get up there, distract (Y/n) whilst your shitty double black replacement take care of Francis, I corner her, you grab her, and BOOM... we got ourselves our (Y/n) back." I finished my brilliant plan with a smirk, a series of hand wailing and flapping just before like an expressive and enraged teacher.

"THEN, I can beat the living shit out of that rat bastard if they haven't done it by the time we've finished" I added, crossing my arms and sighing from all my expression," Does that sound like a good enough plan?"

"Marvellous plan, Chuuya..." Dazai smirked in front of me. The peculiar man had sat himself down as I demonstrated my plan in front of him, both of us perched up on the nearest buildings rooftop. It was clearer from shadows up here, and there was no way I was getting closer to another one of those vial traps again.

I smiled at Dazais approval, comfortable with my plan, until he smirked menacingly,"Except there's one thing missing."

I frowned, stunned. What had I missed? What could go wrong? What was the fault in that simple plan I had composed?!

"And what have I missed, Dazai?" I ask, hoping he had been the one to made a mistake.

He paused, possibly waiting for me to think of it myself, before he said, "How am I supposed to get up there, Chuuya?"

I froze for a second, failing to remember that he couldn't reach the Moby Dick with the use of my Gift- he would cancel it out. I facepalmed as soon as I remembered, growling into my leathered palm. I heard Dazai snickered, entertained at my mishap.

How can I forget such an issue? Especially one that I had to live with not so long ago?!

"However, we only need to figure out how I can get up there, that's all." Dazai reassured, standing up now.

"And how do you propose we do that?!" I bailed," If I were to create a staircase for you it would just collapse as soon as you stand on it!"

"Who said I was walking all that way anyway?!" He pouted, crossing his arms like a child.

"Stop being so damn awkward you idiot!! What would you prefer? A helicopter?!" I sarcastically exclaim, hands struggling refraining from wrapping them around his bandaged neck.

"Ooo, yes, what a fantastic idea!" Dazai chimed, eyes wide and somehow twinkling," Especially since their defender have evacuated the city, no ones there to shoot us!"

"We don't have a helicopter you idiot!" I shout, my echo spreading across the vast expanse of the sky," you're gonna have to think of something else!"

"A jet pack?"

"No..." I growled. We didn't have that.

"Hmm... a glider?"

"That wouldn't work!"

"A teleportation device?"

"They haven't been invented yet!" I snap...He was really grinding my gears now.

"How about a rope? You can pull me up?"

"No way, your the weight of a hippo!"

"A trampoline?"

"A what?"

"A trampoline!"

"Are you an idiot?!"

"A big trampoline?"

"Dazai!!!"

"An even bigger-!"

I grabbed Dazais coat, pulling him down to my height and shouted in his face,"WILL YOU SHUT UP! NO TRAMPOLINE IS GONNA GET YOUR ASS UP THERE!"

Dazais smirking face hadn't inched from my yell, infuriating me. I was sure I was about to punch the mans face and feel my fist in the back of his skull, but something inside of me snapped when my eyes pierced into Dazais dark ones.

What would (Y/n) be doing right now?

My squinting, raging eyes relax as I hear her voice chime in my ears.

'Oi, boys! Stop it already!"

Of course.

'We're here for the mission, not to fight, aren't we?"

Of course.

She'd be slapping us right now. She be ordering us to keep on track, to focus, to be the overruling, devastating duo in history- the men that we were at our best, not our worst.

I let his coat slip out my fingers. Dazai looked at me peculiarly, but he was somewhat interested at my sudden change of heart. I click my tongue as I stood in the edge of the rooftop, the sheer drop dangling from my feet.

I pull out my phone, flipped it open and dialled the Mafia headquarters operator room.

"Executive Chuuya?"

I didn't recognise the voice. Good.

"I need you to open TN-70 for me."

"TN-70? But that's..."

"I need it now. Don't question my reasonings."

I hung up, and placed the phone into my pocket with a sigh. If it wasn't for the thought of (Y/n)... who knew what could have happened? At least this way was appropriate for the mission.

"Chuuya, is that what I think it is?" Dazai chimed, rubbing in my defeat a little.

"Yes. Consider yourself lucky, your majesty."

I hear a distant boom in the silent city- it had been opened.

I turned to face the Mafia, my arm stretched out, focusing on what I wanted.

My arm clenched, red sparking around my arm. I had a hold of it, and drew my arm up. It lifted high into the air, above the Mafia skyscraper. I drew it in with a swift movement of my hand, and it came closer, and closer and closer like an asteroid.

Oh, if only it was hitting Dazai Osamu.

I pulled it to a sudden halt just a metre before me, the wind almost sweeping my hat from my head.

I turned around to Dazai, holding the TN-70, the finest helicopter the Mafia had to offer, high above me.

"Get in." I growled.

Dazai P.O.V

I stepped into the aircraft as soon as Chuuya landed it on the roof top. I had been in this air craft on a couple of occasions during my Mafia days, so this wasn't new to me at all, although I wasn't always flying an aircraft.

I sat myself down in the cockpit, hooking my headset up to the speakers and switching on the engine. The craft switched alight in a second, headlights blinding the flying Chuuya ahead of me.

"Fucking turn that off!" He yelled, covering his eyes.

I smirked, switching of the headlights," ah, sorry, Chuuya!"

I wouldn't be needing them. Actually, if I had them on I would be at a disadvantage. Francis and (Y/n) would see a bright light up aircraft from miles away and probably attack us from air. All I needed was to follow Chuuya, who already looked like a red glowing beacon. Hopefully, she wouldn't spot Chuuya.

"Jesus... Are you ready, damn idiot?" He called, turning around with a sight.

I put my mouth to the speaker as soon as Chuuyas back was to me, desperate to make another joke. I snickered before answering into the microphone," Yes, honey."

Chuuya froze. I snickered again and he probably heard it for the microphone was still on. A middle finger was sent my way immediately, shoulders tensing in rage. He was probably desperate for me to end up dead in this mission by now.

Chuuya shot of like a rocket. I fired the engine, the aircraft slowly pulling away from the rooftop shortly after. It didn't take long for Chuuya and I to be up in the air, voyaging on the reckless route that would take me to save my lover...

I gazed across to the unlighted Moby Dick, a dull and enormous exquisite craft that only brought doom. In the far distance, I noticed flashes of blue and red that presumably the source was Atsushi and Akutagawa... I was curious at how their unusual collaboration was going, but then there was (Y/n).

If it wasn't for her, Akutgawa and Atsushi would have been my top priority.

At the closer edge, I noticed a gather of swirling clouds that flickered and twitched.

That was her location.

I sighed, turning on my headset that was still strapped to my ears, tuning it into Kyoūkas aircraft.

"Kyoūka- chan, it's me, Dazai." I say. I thought it would be best to inform her on my location in case she couldn't get through to me when she needed it.

It took her a little while to replay. For a second, I thought I had lost our connection.

"Dazai-san? Are you... are you on your way to save (Y/n)?"

I watched the twitching, as if the clouds suffered from an incurable inner pain. All of the darkness that had infected the city, all of the distortion of our world was because of her.

No....

No, no, no.

Because of me.

That was everything I had done to her that hand bundled up inside of her, wasn't it? It was every time I had left her to leave her to suffer, every time I told her no, every time I had broken her fragile heart and every time I had broken her trust. It was everything she had suffered from at once, and it created a nightmare.

Was I her nightmares all this time?

"Yes. I... I will try to." I sigh. I wondered if I could even save such crafted catastrophe.

"Please then, Dazai, try your hardest... she is everything to you and I know it. She's also pretty important to a lot of us... I know you'll do well, however."

I bite the corner of my lips, her words so positive in such a dark time. For a second, she sounded almost naive.

"Thank you, Kyoūka chan... " I say, and cancel the connection.

For a while, I let the silence and inner pain eat at me.

One hand slip from the controls, picking up the microphone so slowly.

"Chuuya..." I call.

He noticed, slowing down to soar at the the same level I had.

"What?" He growled. He already wasn't happy with me, so my question I had coming was close to stupidity. I had teased him throughout our time together only to simply take my mind away from all this- it was too much, even if I deserved to know the pain of what I had done to (Y/n).

Either way, I said my thoughts hoping Chuuya would understand.

"I think you need to use Corruption."

Silence. I watched him stare at me as if I was mad through the glass.

"You're asking me..." he said, a confused furrowed brow," to use Corruption... on your girlfriend?!"

I nod.

He was speechless.

And then came the rain of abuse.

"Are you fucking nuts?! Actually, no you are fucking nuts! There's no way I'm using Corruption, Dazai, because she will die you bastard!"

"Chuuya, look at her," I retort," she almost killed you with a shadow when you were just yourself, she could kill you even when your dead if you go face to face."

Chuuyas mouth was wide, as if he was about to retort back immediately. However, nothing came out. Chuuya seemed to understand more immediately as I had said that, sighing," yeah that's true..."

"She is extremely powerful only because I've been such a... such a fucking idiot to her." I sigh.

"Well, that's true too."

"And I didn't deserve her."

"That is also true."

I stare at Chuuya, asking him not to rub it in with a single glance.

"Fine...I will use Corruption... but on one condition." Chuuya demanded.

My eyebrows raised, interested at Chuuyas request," and what would that be?"

Chuuya has a nasty smirk on his lips, for he knew exactly what he wanted.

Atushis P.O.V

Akutgawa and I were battered and bruised.

I flung onto my stomach where Francis had served a kick, stumbling further back until I came across Akutagawa.

I feel onto my back, waiting for just a couple of minuets to regenerate some energy.

"Get up, Tiger." Akutgawa exclaimed, hands snaking under my arms and hoisting me up, "(Y/n) will have to be taken down by hand. There is no use in persuading such a brainwashed mind."

He pushed me up to my feet and started to walk away, back into our death pit.

"Hey, Atsushi-Kun."

My hand flew to the headset, pressing the microphone button from the joyous sound of the voice in my ears.

"Dazai-san!" I exclaim, pleased to hear his voice. Akutagawa had spun around and locked gazed with me immediately.

"Good job in remembering a second headset, Atsushi. I've got you company to help distract (Y/n). He's powerful and ruthless, so just be weary." Powerful and ruthless? It sounded exactly what we needed considering our past outcomes with her...but who could fill that job? Who was worthy enough to be a match for her?! I failed to think of a person to do such, so I asked, my brows furrowed.

"Dazai...Who on earth can do that?"

It was a second later when I found out.

A flash of warm blood red pierced the sky, slashing down to the centre of the Moby Dick, thunder erupting. We all spin to watch the large arrow slam to the ground, a bellowing boom lifting up dust in a ring around it. I felt the impact rattle my bones and the sudden thought of the Moby Dick falling out of its orbit sparked in my head. I squeezed my eyes shut, as the circle of dust flew into my eyes, terrified. As soon as the storm of dirty specks and the sound of the eruption traveled into the distant I opened them again.

He crouched from the impact, a leathered hand touching the ground and the other out to the side for the perfect balanced landing. His head hung low, but when it tilted upwards we saw the wrath that sparked under the brim of his black hat and strands of fire red hair. His serrated teeth were baring, a grating growl in the back of his throat. He was coated in a glowing, eerie red, the shine of his blue eyes standing out like orbs.

I was terrified of this man immediately, but something told me he was familiar...

My head turned to Akutgawa, wondering if he knew this man. To my surprise, the devil had smirked so slightly. My head turned again, to watch the man that had crashed from the sky pin his gaze to Francis behind us.

This was who Dazai sent?

"Well... what a turn of events," Francis had said, although he didn't seem too happy about his arrival," Welcome to the party, The Mafias executive and gravity manipulator... Chuuya Nakahara."

Mafia executive?! The man called Chuuya snarled had grown, irritated from Francis voice.

"Back of my friend you mother fucking bastard." He spat, ruthlessly, just like how Dazai warned.

"Ah," And then another voice, one I knew and brought contentment to my ears,"Chuuya, Chuuya..."

I spun back around to see Francis skin crawl as a hand hand tapped his shoulder, cerulean illuminating behind him. And within that brilliant display, Francis exquisite and deadly gift had vanished- his gold and emerald exterior of his gift was no more. Francis had turned too in disgust, opening a view to none other than Dazai Osamu. What was he doing here?!

Dazai snarled, a sense of victory locked in his deep eyes in the darkness of the night, "He's all yours."

And then, Chuuya leaped for him, shooting through the gap between Akutgawa and I and towards Francis like a rabid wild wolf.

Chuuyas P.O.V

From Dazais command I slingshotted myself straight into Francis body, colliding with a energy balling fluctuating in my hand. I screamed out my anger as Francis, now nullified from his ability, flew straight into the wall metres and metres behind from his original position within a second, trail of dust erupting his brutal pathway.

I skidded to a halt beside Dazai who had stepped out my way as we both witnessed the fantastic sight of seeing Francis thrown about like a mere toy, the boom of the impact ringing in our ears.

I chuckled out loud, satisfied with the blow.

"And stay down, you filthy idiot." I spat.

"Ah, I doubt he'll stay down for much longer. His Gift will return once's he's gathered the energy to stand up again." Dazai sighed, pouting and observing the view of the Moby Dick. I was surprised at how quickly he had managed to shoot down the helicopter entrance and make his way up to the canopy.

"Maybe another round will knock him out for sure." I snarled, crunching my fingers and tightening the leather around them. Oh, wouldn't I just love to be fighting Francis myself...

"Ah, nope!" Dazai chimed," Our deal was one blow for Corruption, not two!"

"Dazai, come on! I can have this idiot dead in two seconds if you let me and you know it!" I raged, stomping my foot and pointing at the man who only smirked.

"Nope. Not. Part. Of. Our. Deal." He joked, smirking wider as he crouched down to my height. I was about to wrap my hands around his neck, sabotaging him for the second time today and persuading him to let me kill that bastard-

"Dazai-san!"

Was that the Were-Tiger kid? Our heads spun to the silver haired boy who inherited the heart and body of a tiger, just a couple of feet behind us heading to join us.

"Ah, Atsushi. There's been a change of plans." Dazai exclaimed.

"Dazai-san, it's-"

"Hold on, lemme go over this first, quick and simple... " he said, placing a finger to the Tigers pinks lips and squishing them, Atsushi staring at his finger in confusion," We are here to stop (Y/n)... you're here to defeat Francis."

Francis tried to speak, muffled by the force of Dazais finger. I remove Dazais hand, wanting to know what he was saying.

"-and she's in danger!" He bursted out," (Y/n) is in danger!"

I froze... we knew what that meant.

Her Gift was sucking her body into a shadow...

Into nothing.

"You."

My ears prick.

That was her.

That was (Y/n).

We all turned, except Dazai who froze under her call, to see her standing in front of us.

She was exactly as I last saw her on the screen in the Mafia... but worse.

Her finger raised to point at Dazai, her transparent body twitching and fading.
